you had heard all the [[rumors]]. you didn't really care. your curiousity got the better of you, and here you are. the old house is supposed to be through a cave. this [[cave]]."they eat children!" "there's zombies in there!" "i've seen children go into that cave and never come back!" yet, here you were, [[outside the cave]]. no wonder people called you a fool.the cave was pitch black, at least from where you were. you had a [[lantern]], though, you were pretty confident that everything would be alright. you decided that it would be wise to go [[in the cave]].your grandparents owned the [[general store]], so you had always gotten things for free.the general store was one of the only things to do in your shit little town. perhaps that was why you had decided to come here. even if you got taken away by a goblin or something, it would be more interesting than being stuck in a village such as yours. [[outside the cave]] might be the only place you'd want to be right now. nothing of any importance was in the cave. however, at the end, a faint glow appeared. you followed it [[out]]. you could see the house from here. sunlight crept in along the sides of the building. a small creek ran along the edge of your vision. you knocked on the [[door]]. it took you a few minutes to realize that the door was unlocked. you opened it and peered [[inside]].you couldn't see much from the doorway, so you walked all the way in. inside, streams of light shined through the curtains on the windows. you heard [[music]], singing over a beautiful acoustic guitar. you wanted to go [[upstairs]] to where the music came from.you'd never heard music that wonderful before. you didn't regret coming [[inside]] at all.the creaky steps carried your weight with a disconcerting heaviness. you sighed at the same time the staircase did. once upstairs, you found yourself in a [[bedroom]]. that wonderful sound was now so [[close]], you were sure.velvet drapes hung around a four-poster bed. dust had settled on some old photographs of a happy man and woman, a young boy in front of them. this bedroom had a certain sadness hanging in the air, though maybe that was the music [[close]] by.you turned around. brightness swam in through a large [[balcony]]. this was where the music was coming from.you could see a valley, a sparkling waterfall framing it on one side, coursing its way down the face of a mountain. patches of flowers were illuminated by the noonday sun. everything was so gorgeous, including the [[woman]] with a guitar in her hand.she had long brown hair and a curvy frame. her eyes had a sweet yet knowing glimmer. she turned and stopped playing. "are you lost?" "i might [[be]]," you answered, thinking about how much had happened for you in these past ten minutes."are you lonely?" "yes," i said. "are you sad?" "i'm not happy," i said. "could i make you happy?" "i don't want to leave you," i said. "so you want to [[stay]]?" "i believe i do," i said. that was really all that needed to happen. i think i had found the light at the end of the tunnel.
