Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Hello! Welcome to my Twine game, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! You are Snow White, a young woman who lives with her jealous stepmother. When your stepmother asks her magic mirror who the fairest of them all is and her mirror responds that it's you, she decides to send a huntsman to kill you so she can be the fairest. You are going for a stroll in the woods when you get the feeling that someone is following you. [[Ignore it.]] [[Ask who's there.]]

You continue walking only to hear footsteps approaching from behind. You turn around to find a man with an awkward smile on his face and a bead of sweat. [[Scream.]] [[Ask who he is.]]

There's no response. [[Ignore it.]] [[Offer a berry you picked along your stroll.]]

You startle the man, and he stabs you. He successfully digs your heart out to bring to your stepmother, resulting in her becoming the fairest of them all. Better luck next time.

He hesitates and tells you he is lost and would like to get directions for how to get out of the forest. [[Believe him and give directions but not without offering him some of the treats you have in your basket!]] [[Sounds like he's lying. Ask him where he came from, why he's in the woods, where he's trying to go, and why he's trying to go there.]]

After a couple moments, a man comes out from hiding looking confused. [[Ask who he is.]] [[Attack him for stalking you.]]

Unfortunately, you were not planning to fight anyone today, so you are not carrying any weapons. The man quickly wins the battle with a few quick stabs and manages to pull out your heart. He then brings it to your stepmother as proof that she is now the fairest of them all. Better luck next time.

The man is shocked by your kindness and can not bring himself to kill you as he originally planned. He tells you of your stepmothers plans to become the fairest of them all and warns you to flee and never look back. [[Do as he says.]] [[Confront your stepmother.]]

He's flustered by all your questions. Instead of answering them, he stabs you and completes his mission by bringing your heart to your stepmother. She is the fairest of them all. Better luck next time.

As you search for somewhere to hide, your eyes land on a small cottage. [[Keep looking.]] [[Check it out.]]

Upon your arrival, your stepmother is enraged to see that you're still alive. She decides to take matters into her own hands and charges at you with her mirror. You try to escape, but all the exits are blocked or guarded. You try to fight back, but she's too fast and strong. She beats you and her mirror to death knowing she won't need that mirror once you're dead. Better luck next time.

You go deeper and deeper into the forest quickly realizing that you don't know how to survive in the woods. You don't know how to make a shelter, build a fire, find food, or find fresh water. You manage to get by for a couple days, but there's still no civilization in sight. You end up dying of dehydration. Better luck next time.

It's dirty, but it's something. You find seven small beds and come to the conclusion that there must be seven orphans living here. You realize how sad it is that their home is so dirty. They probably don't know how to clean. [[Clean the cottage for them.]] [[Leave it. They'll have to learn to do it themselves.]]

After many hours of cleaning, you fall asleep across a few of their beds. When you wake up, there are seven dwarfs surrounding you. You realize they must be the ones who live here and not orphans. They comment on how nice their home looks now that it's clean and offer it as your home if you continue to cook and clean for them. [[Take the offer.]] [[I don't want to live with seven dirty adult men.]]

You decide to go to sleep in their beds. When you wake up, there are seven angry dwarfs looking at you. You realize that they must be the ones who live here and not orphans. They are not happy to find a stranger breaking in and using their beds, so they kick you out. You're stuck in the woods again. [[Keep looking.]]

You are satisfied with your new life when one day, an old woman knocks at the door. She insists you take one of her delicious apples. [[Take one.]] [[Don't take one.]]

Insulted, they kick you out of their cottage and politely ask you to never come back. You're stuck in the woods again. [[Keep looking.]]

You don't plan on eating it right away, so you try to say goodbye. She insists you try it in front of her. You tell her you'll eat it later, but she explains that it's a magic apple that will grant you one wish and that you must eat it now. [[Eat it.]] [[Don't eat it.]]

She won't leave until you take one. [[Take one.]]

You fall into a sleep spell. The dwarfs find you seemingly dead and chase your stepmother the the edge of a cliff where she falls to her death. They cannot bear to bury you underground, so they put you in a glass coffin instead. A prince who had previously met and fallen in love with you hears of your supposed death and comes to visit. Upon seeing you, he kisses you, and you wake up from your sleep. [[Live happily ever after with him]] [[Thank him, but that was pretty creepy. Ask him to leave and instead live happily ever after with the dwarfs]]

The old lady reveals herself to be your stepmother and moves on to her backup plan for killing you. She pulls out a knife and kills you. The dwarfs are at work, so they cannot stop her. Better luck next time.

You get married and move into his castle where you live happily ever after.

The prince leaves feeling embarrassed, and you walk back into the cottage to live happily ever after.
