A large, heavy bar crosses them, and behind the bar, three different metal locks. \n\nYou are not equipped for this level of break and enter. You decide to [[walk around the side of the building|westexterior]]
<<if visited("container5") gte 2>>\nYou've already opened this locker and have had quite enough excitement for one day.\n<<elseif>>\nThis container smells bad. Like, funk of 40,000 years bad. What the hell did they keep in here? Still, the door is wedged open now, so you may as well find out. \n\nYou shove the door with your shoulder, and it screeches horribly but slowly grinds into place. \n\nThe container is filled with wooden boxes, some of which have rotted away, others have been damaged or someone's tried to open them. Inside, you can see jars of unspecified foodstuffs in a language you don't understand, with label design that looks unironically retro. You pull one out. It appears to be some kind of chili paste. \n\nAs you go to put the jar in your pack - hey, it's still safety sealed, can't hurt to try - you spot a movement in the box. You squat down to see what it is and\n\n[[HOLY FUCK THAT IS A SPIDER THE SIZE OF A FUCKING HAMSTER|spider1]]\n<<endif>>\n[[go back|inspectcontainers]]\n

<<if $container3code is "021209" or $container3code is "120209">>The code works! The lock pops open, and you tug at the door, giving it a couple of hefty jerks until it screams open. \nLarge boxes are covered in tarpaulins and blankets. You move one aside to reveal a very shiny washing machine, surely totally unused. Nice brand, too. \nYou tug on another tarp to reveal a leather sofa with plump arms and deeply dimpled buttons. Wedged in underneath it is a small baby-blue desk covered in stickers of flowers, unicorns and rainbows – presumably a child's desk. It's not as shiny as the other furniture – the paint is chipped around the edges and the material is crappy chipboard. \nThere are some smaller boxes packed in front, sealed with packing tape. You cut on open. This one contains clothing, and when you pick up a cardigan you realise it's wrapped around a milkshake glass. \nWhat happened to these people? Do they think they're ever going to get their stuff back? \nFeeling mildly guilty, you back out of the container. \n\n<<else>>\nThat doesn't seem to be the right code.\n\nTry again?\n<<textinput $container3code [[Enter code|container3open]]>><<endif>>\n[[Do something else|containers]]\n\n
The first container appears to have been welded shut. You try not to think about why. \n[[go back|inspectcontainers]]

The second container from the left has two big, sturdy combination locks holding its doors shut. Maybe you can find the code for them somewhere. \n[[go back|inspectcontainers]]
