Wake up sleepy head, you have a big day today!
You have an important project due tonight at midnight... and guess what? You haven't started it. Silly goose!
What's new though? You thrive under pressure... Right?
You think to yourself:
[["First, I'll watch some TV and then I'll really get to work."|TV]]
or
[["Time to get to work."]]Snacks, a coffee, and a notebook on deck you sit down to watch some casual Netflix.
You can study and watch TV. People who say you can't multitask don't know what they're talking about.
Oh, cool the second season of Big Mouth just came out.
Just one [[episode|3 hours later]]...Come on. [[Who are you kidding?|TV]] Wow the writing on this show... just PHENOMINAL. Nick Kroll you have done it again. Netflix sure does make it easy to binge an entire season in one sitting. When does the third season com-- [[WAIT WHAT TIME IS IT?]] You stare at your phone too afraid to check it. You don't even want to know how much time has passed.
Deep breaths, it can't be that bad. On three check your phone.

[[3]]SH*T! lhdsabjkbdsakbfkabkfakjfasjkdas what?? It has been four and a half hours! How... did... that... happen?
Ok ok ok. The clock is ticking.
You decide to:
[[Walk to the library]]
or
[[Set up at the desk in your room]]
Backpack on and you're out the door.
If you're going to be there all night you're going to need a coffee the size of your head.
Stop into [[Starbucks]] for a venti iced latte with an extra shot. You're sure studying at home is the best option.
You put on your favorite pajamas and make yourself a cup of tea.
You open a blank document and your mind goes, well, blank.
Maybe [[cleaning your room]] will help clear your head. Ahhh the smell of coffee and procrastination fills the air.
You scurry up to the counter and blurt out "One venti iced latte with an extra shot PLEASE."
The cashier isn't even phased, she sees this all the time.
"Ok coming right up. Can I have a name for the order?"
You sigh and just say [["Screwed."]]Tah dah! Spotless!
But wait your freshly made bed looks so cozy...
You decide doing homework in bed is too tempting to [[resist.]] "Uhh.. Iced latte for Screwed?"
"Yeah that's me."
You grab the giant coffee from the confused and clearly new barista.
When you turn to walk out the door you see your friend Fallon. Fallon has got some serious dirt to [[share with you]]. aaaaaand you fell asleep.
aaaaaand you didn't set an alarm.
You did not finish your project.
Probably shoulda gone to the [[library|HI]], my friend."NO." "YES." "What.... That's insane, dude."
That was indeed some serious, serious dirt.
You tell Fallon you are really on a time crunch so you're heading to the library. You tell her as soon as you finish this project you are going to break down every detail of said dirt with her over some cheap wine.
[[Library time.]]You snag a secluded desk on the top floor of the library. Most people don't even know this spot exists. Score. Now nothing can distract you.
You open a blank Google Doc and your mind goes, well, [[blank.]].......
.........
............
............... [[hmmm]]So you decice to Google ways to be productive.
You take some beautiful color coded notes on the topic.
You are a productivity guru!
You feel confident you can crush this project [[now]]."And that's all folks."
Damn, that was clever.
The Google Doc is full.
The argument has been made clear and the evidence to support it is all there.
You have done it.
[[YOU HAVE DONE IT.]][["Mother fu...."]]
No, no, no, no. You can't believe your blood shot eyes.
Upon turning in your beautiful project the word [["LATE"]] appears in big, bold, red letters. The project was due at noon today.
Not midnight tonight.
But. You. Were. So. Sure. It. Was. Due. [[Tonight.]]Frustrating, right?
That is a big ole bummer, my friend.
I should know cause this exact sequence of events has happened to me.
I guess start early, avoid Netflix at all costs, and set attainable study goals for yourself?
No really I'm asking. Cause I still haven't figured it out.
Maybe Google has some tips on how to avoid procrastination...
Thank you for coming on this journey with me and I apologize.
[[THE END|HI]]
