Just as you fall to the ground and kneel, the air around Banor seems to ripple like water. The civilians in the crowd notice the rippling air and begin to talk among themselves about it.
"People, people, please remain calm and focus on what is important!" Banor states, just as ripples form in the air all around Banor and the stage, until those ripples turn into holes and strange, inhuman creatures step out of them.
"Wha-what are you thi--" Banor asked, only to be met with the claw of one of the creatures impaling him through his chest, and then letting him fall to the stage, motionless.
The crowd begins to panic as more creatures come through the portals. They all seem to resonate with an energy that appears to be purple mixed with black, but when you question someone else about it, they tell you there is no such energy around the creatures.
Your energy core throbs and pulsates again, and you feel yourself drawn to the creatures, but why?

"Not yet....I'm not done yet!" He shouts as he gathers enough of his strength to rush past you and take a civilian hostage.
"Either you let me leave...or this human dies." Yelzick hisses as he waves a claw in the air behind him, creating a portal a ways away from him, which he then starts to back away toward.
"How did you know I was different earlier?" You ask him in an effort to stall for time.
"I can smell it, I can see it. Your energy core is infused with the same energy that I have, and that I gave to my forces." He growls, his eyes narrowing as he glares at you.
"I did the same to some other humans, some time back, in preparation for this time...but it seems that at least one of you did not turn out as I had planned." He hisses while still backing away toward the portal.
You have come so far, and made so many choices. Now you are at the climax, and the path you have forged will determine what you can do next. The question is, how does this path end?

A few months later, you are walking along the streets with a hood drawn over your head, as well as covering most of your face, and stop to view a nearby television. On the screen is a news channel that is continuing the debate of whether you are a hero or a villain, considering your actions during the invasion and how some civilian deaths were caused by your hand, or how you didn't stop them from dying when you could have.
You eventually walk away from the television after deciding you have heard enough, as the crowd that had also gathered around the television began their own debate. You enter a nearby alleyway and run into a stranger, which causes your hood to fall off. The stranger recognizes you immediately and prepares to shout, but you cover his mouth and then hit his head against the wall to knock him unconscious. You pull the hood over your head again and then walk away, clenching your fist as black-red energy swirls around it.

Yelzick throws you off of him and orders the creatures to kill you, and then they immediately charge at you. You stand up and realize you are standing on a platform. You jump over the creatures, but one manages to hit you enough to send you flying near the edge of the platform. Yelzick approaches you, telling the creatures to stop so he may kill you, but you grab him and throw yourself over the edge, down toward what looks like a never-ending bottom.
A few months later, back on Earth, a statue has been risen in your honor and in memory of your sacrifice. Many people visit the statue daily and leave flowers on or around it while thanking you. The plaque at the base reads: "In Honor of a True Hero and (his/her) Sacrifice."

You quickly retract your hand, clenching onto Yelzick's energy core as the civilian falls to the ground dead, and Yelzick falls to the ground as well, near-death. You quickly drain all of the energy in Yelzick's energy core into yourself, giving yourself a vast amount of energy, and then grab Yelzick by his throat and drain the remnants of his energy within him, causing him to die from the shock.
You see Yelzick's plans in your head and realize that Yelzick has a vast amount of reinforcements just waiting to be brought through into this world. You smile and laugh as you open portals across the city and call forth all of the creatures, claiming yourself to be their new leader as you have taken Yelzick's life and power. The creatures simply listen to you and accept you as their leader without problem, and then you command them to resume the takeover and to force any human to submit, or kil them if they resist.
A few months later, you sit upon a throne in a castle made of purple and black crystals as well as black rocks with glowing purple cracks running along them. You stand and move to a balcony outside, and see the ruins of the city all around you. The sky is filled with black clouds, purple lightning surging throughout them repeatedly. Below you are your armies, cheering you on as you smile and connect your mind to your forces all across the Eastern coast of the country. Once the connection is made, you order them all to move inland and take over everything in your name, until nothing else stands in your way for when you take over the world.

I am working on how to make the villain side more enticing, as well as how to make the choices be less "obvious," but could not think of how to do so entirely for the Beta turn-in.

You are a hero-in-training on Earth, set in a reality where everyone has some form of ability involving energy that is generated by and stored within a special core inside their bodies. You are unique, even among the people of this world, as your core is vastly different. Most people have only a few abilities that their cores gives them. These abilities typically range from being superspeed, to superstrength, to flight, and so on.
You attend a school in New York City, where you also live. At this school, they focus on teaching you about your abilities and how to use them "properly." This typically means how to use them like the definition of "hero" as seen and said by society. However, you have yet to find the limitations to what abilities you have from your core. In fact, even your school has been unable to truly help determine your limits, as you seem to unveil a new ability almost every week, even when you had no intention to do so.
Despite how the world is, there are still plenty of people divided over these abilities. Some insist that they are a virus that should be cured, and others believe they are a blessing that should be cherished. Naturally, there are some people who either never received training for how to use their abilities, or taught themselves, who use their powers for wrongdoing, which fuels this debate further.
You are on either side of the debate, unable to decide who you agree or disagree with. Which is why you are attending a (link: "speech in Central Park.")[

He has tried many times to be a link between the people, despite having abilities that he makes use of daily. In fact, he has even managed to get some activists to swap sides in the debate about the powers. However, this upcoming speech has been rumored to be his best speech yet, and that he believes he will finally be able to put an end to this debate once and for all.
Your curiosity has led you to want to attend this speech, along with many other people. The crowd has continued to be restless as everyone waits for Banor to appear. Small debates between members of the crowd break out as you all wait, and some people begin to grow rowdy and loud.
Just when it seems as though a riot could break out, Banor finally appears and begins his speech.
"My dear, fellow citizens, thank you for your patience. Allow me to formally welcome you all to this event."
You stare at Baron as he speaks, seemingly unaware of how close his crowd was to becoming a riot. However, something feels off and your energy core throbs and pulsates within you, causing you to clutch your chest and fall to a (link: "kneel.")[
