Mom's Mysterious Murder

you play Arthur Fillean, son of Martha Fillean who is the heiress to the fillean company, the biggest company in West Virginia, you get a call one day saying your mom has been murdered at her mansion in West Virgina. You must return home immediatley to start planning the funeral. [[Drive to the hills of West Virginia]]

You arrive to the house, you notice the door is unlocked and there is no signs of forced entry. you see a package of cigarettes outside on the front porch. [[go inside the house]]

you walk in the main foyer of the mansion, you notice the same scenery that you remember from years back. When looking around you see cleaning supplies that were left out, and you think that your mother always hired outside help so you question that as well and wonder who has been here [[go to kitchen]] [[go to living room]] [[go upstairs]]

you walk in the kitchen you look around and you see nothing different right away. You remember when your mom used to make family dinners for you and the rest many years ago. When you go up to the kitchen counter you see an open bottle and right next to that bottle is a flask with initials 'MK" on that and you wonder who that belongs to. Your mom never drank [[continue to search the kitchen]] [[leave the kitchen]]

you walk back into the main foyer and go into the living room to do a little investigating on the scene. you look around and see nothing has really changed in the setting of the living room you look more closely at the.. [[Tv stand]] [[coffee table]] [[couch]]

you beging to walk up the old staircase and you look around deciding to where to go next. [[moms bedroom]] [[your old room]] [[art gallery]] [[bathroom]] [[attic]] [[go back downstairs]]

when you continue your search in the kitchen, you open alot of the pantries, and cabinets, you find alot that are empty, except for one. You go over to your mothers old spice cabinet, where she normally kept locked its still locked and no one has tried to open it. [[jimmy the lock]]

[[Go back to the kitchen bitch]]

you take your pocket knife, jimmy the lock until you hear a click, you tell yourself not too rusty afterall. You look around and you see towards the back a small journal and you take the journal. [[open the journal]]

you read the journal and you see that some entries date back to many years ago, you continue to flip therough the old entries and you notice some talking about a groundskeeper but you arent too sure because some of the writing is a little hard to decifer. you think to flip to the most recent entry but you notice the page has been torn out and you have no recolection of the page anywhere else. with the journal you see that their isnt anything else in the kitchen. [[go inside the house]]

as you inspect the Tv you notice something sitting on the edge [[inspect closer]]

you look closely at the coffe table and you inspect afew items on the table, you see her favorite mug she used to sip from every morning, an issue to good housekeeping magazine, and a pair of earrings that she never really wore out much. With all of these items you see nothing is of importance so you stop looking.

you look at the antique sofa that was your moms favorite after aquiring it at an auction, you remeber all the fun times you used to have in the living room. You sit on the couch just as you used to when living in the home, nothing really stands out when sitting on the couch

you look more closely at the tv stand and you see a cigarette butt onthe edge, you realize that your mother never really smoked at all, and you begin to question more about what has happened [[go inside the house]]

you know thta in the past when you used to live there, that she kept a safe in her closet covered by a panel. You go staright to her closet and inspect the panel, you notice that the panel is locked and and you need a key and a combination. after that you leave her room and go to inspect more rooms

you walk in and it looks exactly the way you left it and you leave

you see all of the expensive, well detailed, nude paintings in the gallery. You notice one looks similar to your great grandma. You are frightened and you leave the room

you see a shower, tub, sink and toilet, nothing in here so you leave

you climb up the attic ladder, you get upstairs and you see a door that youve never really noticed before so you go over to the door and you need a key. you dont have the key yet so you dont try anything and leave.

you walk back downstairs, you now start to inspect [[parlor]] [[library]]

you walk in the parlor you see the grand fireplace and a door that leads to the greenhouse. you.. [[inspect the parlor]] [[go to greenhouse]]

in the library you find many bookshelves and in the center of the room lies two desk. you approach the desks [[inspect the desk]]

you go over to your moms favorite right next to the fireplace, you remeber that this was one of her favorite spots to unwind. you sit down in the chair just to relax for a few seconds and reminisce on the past, you rest your hand slightly on the cushion and you brush your hand on what seems like a piece of paper, you reach down and find a crumpled note [[inspect note]]

you walk into the greenhouse and find the gardner looking through a bunch of drawers, you approach him and he seems panicked and alarmed. You approach him and ask him how hes been and what hes been up to. after this encounter you leave to go back into the parlor.

you read the note and you look closely at the details, you read that it says your mother was suspicious of one of the gardeners that worked their and was worried that he might try to do something, in the note she seemed frightned, you think you may have a suspect. after this you leave the parlor [[go back downstairs]]

when you inspect the desk you find another crumpled note stating i finally fired that creepy gardner bill pinnick. I finally feel safe in my own home, it reads. You then remember that the gardner you just talked to in the greenhouse was named bill.. [[leave the library]] [[look at books]]

you are now in the main hall after all the events that has happened, you need a refreshment and you proceed to the kitchen [[go into kitchen]]

you go over to the books and you pick off a few that youd like to read in the future with that, you take them and put them in your backpack for later and you leave the library

you walk into the kitchen, open the fridge, grab a budlight orange just because you are that thirsty and close the fridge and in the corner of your eye you see bill the gardner waiting for you with a knife, you.. [[stand there and ask what hes doing]] [[ask him about the paintings]] [[finish beer and run]] [[run]]

you look at him and ask him what hes doing but before you can ask another question he comes over and stabs you, you are dead

you ask him about the weird, nude paintings and you await his response but he throws his knife at you and it impales you, you are dead

you dont like to waste beer, so no questions you finish your bud light orange in 5 seconds, and before you can throw the glass bottle on the floor, he comes over and slits your throat, you ae dead

you run away mr pinnick, you are running into the main hallway and you decide to run [[upstairs to art gallery]] [[run to the greenhouse]]

you run upstairs to the gallery, right into the room that made you uncomfortable. The killer has followed you into the room and he kills you infront of your naked grandma game over

you run into the greenhouse, it looks like he didnt see you run into the room, so you lock the door behind you. you look around the room to see what you can find [[check drawers]] [[check shelf]]

you look inside the drawers and you see a key and a spade you take the key and the spade [[leave the room]]

you find nothing

you leave and go back to the main hall [[enter main hall]]

you seemed to have lost the killer, but he could be anywhere at any moment with the key obtained you go back to the attic [[proceed to attic]]

you are in the attic at the secret door you use the key and it un;locks the door. [[enter doorway]]

you find a chest and within the chest you find the other key and the code to the wall safe [[proceed to moms room]]

you go to moms wall safe and you open the safe and the killer charges at you but you hit him back with your spade, he drops his knife and you grab the knife and you stab him [[confront killer]]

he explains that he killed your mother because he was fired and he needed to provide for his own family, he killed your mother and needed what was in the safe so he could provide for his own family
