The two MERCs run towards the courtyard. A skycar flies in and hovers in the air above them. As the first MERC leaps into the skycar, the other merc (ASARI) draws her gun to provide covering fire. T'PANN grabs her own pistol. T'PANN and the ASARI lock eyes. A moment passes - There is a shock of recognition on their faces. The ASARI hesitates. Sometime later. The Presidium Commons is now bustling with C-Sec officers. The hanar and drell are under guard while a human female JOURNALIST is busy giving her report to a flying news camera drone. JOURNALIST The kidnapping of a hanar merchant was foiled tonight when a passing bystander heroically fought off his attackers. The hanar, whose Face Name has not been revealed, was confronted at his apartment by two asari. The alleged attackers turned violent but quickly fled the scene when turian engineer Djamil Leptis stepped in to help. Leptis sustained head injuries during the attack which are not thought to be life-threatening. C-Sec are appealing for witnesses. Reporting from the Presidium Commons, this is Khalisah Bint Sinan al-Jilani for Westerlund News. T'PANN approaches DJAMIL LEPTIS who is sitting at a café table.
