# parrotfam core parrotfam is the Jyn/Bodhi/Cassian OT3, plus K2 the rescue parrot. //note:// much of the time when we yell about parrotverse we're specifically yelling about adoptionverse, because it's the version everyone gets glommed into notable characters: * **Cassian**: mild-mannered hacktivist, adoptee, semi-secret cross-stitch enthusiast, parrot dad * **Jyn**: investigative journalist usually, DIY maven, bane of the PTA * **Bodhi**, ex-army mechanic, whistleblower, knitter, nice boy from a nice family, engine dad * **parrot!K**: their eldest son, a youngish african gray, armed with everything from Spanish obscenities to Welsh protest songs, not counting the talons * **Djem**: their human son, deaf artist, youtube personality and quality assurance, adopted as a toddler ** **Yas**, his bio brother, a hot nurse * **Neph**, totally not their daughter, who followed Djem home one day and refused to leave and he in-laws: * Grandpa Rex and assorted other members of [[Clone Fam]] * Jyn's Papa (Galen "needs a netnanny to keep him off of jstor" Erso), Mama (Lyra "once fought a polar bear nbd" Erso), and Dad (Saw "basically an over the top mish mash of Toussaint L'Overture, Garibaldi, and Kościuszko" Gerrera) ** Jyn had an *interesting childhood* * Bodhi's relatives, most notably ** Radha, his sister, who has never at any time tried to mail him to Canada [[Home]]

in most cases parrotverse Cassian owes his moderately good social adjustment to having been adopted into a ridiculously numerous family and spending holidays at Grandpa Jango's Walled Survivalist Compound. I said //moderately//. Regular recurring members include: * **Rex**, a.k.a. "Dad" when he's being annoying * **Uncle Cody**, a responsible adult, probably * **Dogma**, who helps out at Bodhi's Disillusioned Vet Garage * **Cousin <s>Bubbles</s> Bob**, Cassian's nemesis [[Home]]

Thus far **Chirrut** and **Baze** have no clearly defined role in parrotverse, but it's only a matter of time. Any suggestion that [[ParrotFam]] is, perhaps, a little weird will inevitably be met with "LOOK, at least we're not the Skywalkers!" 'nuff said.
