THE VOICE melts and slithers around ROWB's feet forming a small pool. He begins to sink.\n\nROWB:\n"What? Stop!"\n\nROWB falls through the ground and falls in an infinite cloudy space past the title "Children of Uum"\n\nFade to Black.

ROWB:\n"I suppose I should have seen that coming..."\n\nPRIDE appears next to ROWB.\n\nPRIDE:\n"See where trust gets you? The creature may have been pathetic but it was a mistake not killing it on sight."\n\nGNAXSIS stirs in the darkness.\n\nGNAXSIS:\n"Good, that thing has finally brought me another morsel..."\n\nPRIDE:\n"That voice... could it be?"\n\nGNAXSIS charges out of the dark.\n\nPRIDE:\n"Ah, so it you. ROWB follows spirit PRIDE's mask to physical mask which attachs to ROWB's face launching him into PRIDE's REALM\n\nSingle ray of light on PRIDE's mask\n\nROWB convinced MENTHE to commit a crime with him and they were booted from KAPYL for it.\n

ROWB extends his hand and ENERGY shoots off its surface into him. A voice speaks inside his head.\n\nWHISPER STONE 000: GNAXSIS\n(Frantic and Crazy)\n"They want it! They want her! I know, I know... I know. The others don't believe... said I've gone too far-but no! Not nearly far enough! Let my rage wash over them like a colosal wave; I will extinguishing the Everlit for eternity. They will //not// take her... I won't let them take her... my Voice..."\n\nTHE VOICE hovers for awhile then streaks off into the forest.\n\n[[Continue|ExploreRotBog]]

After the PLAYER defeats GNAXSIS he begins to cough and sputter walking around like a dog choosing where to vomit.\n\nGNAXSIS:\n"No!... no... no... do not leave me... have I not kept you safe? Have I not given you what you need?!"\n\nPRIDE:\n"Ha! The monster meets its end to the hands of a whelp"\n\nGNAXSIS begins to cough harder and starts vomitting up piles of thick ooze. He turns and looks at ROWB.\n\nGNAXSIS:\n"Him? Why?!"\n\nGNAXSIS vomits harder, eventually the UUM STONE rockets out from his throat and hits the ground with an impact that makes the ground tremble. \n\nGNAXSIS falls onto his back and, after a breif struggle to get up, goes still.\n\nThe UUM STONE sits where it fell ominously, its pristine surface untainted by the muck. The ooze beads off of it like water on a duck's back. Slowly its spiral turns towards ROWB like a giant eye staring at him.\n\n[[Continue|VoiceGrabsRowb]]\n\n

THE VOICE waits in the distance hovering over a WHISPER STONE.\n\nIf PLAYER looks at THE VOICE:\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"Come to me..."\n\nWhen the PLAYER gets close to the WHISPER STONE they can hear it emitting faint WHISPERS.\n\n[[PLAYER approaches RIBBON|VoiceWhisperStone]]

PLAYER enters an area of the temple filled with bones and refuse. FING's muttering can be heard from across the room as he tears stones from the skulls and puts them up to his ear. He listens before either putting them in a sack around his waste or tossing them over his shoulder.\n\nFING:\n(RANDOM)\n\n1. "Yes, yes, father was gentle this time... this one is good... good..."\n\n2. "Eck! A bad man! Not like Vaal at all!"\n\n3. "Mmmmmm, like that one, she nice. Like Vaal!"\n\n4. PLAYER attacks GNAXSIS. ROWB:\n"Okay.... who are you?..."\n\nFING looks confused trying to grasp what ROWB is saying.\n\nROWB:\n"You! Who are //you//?"\n\nROWB points at FING, FING mimics the gesture pointing at himself mouthing the word "you" still confused. Finally he understands.\n\nFING:\n"Me? ROWB:\n"Don't toy with me wraith. You have brought me here for a reason, why?"\n\nPRIDE laughs.\n\nPRIDE:\n"Straight to the end? We see her but don't understand her true nature, her true song. Her tune is silent but deafening, a whisper yet strong. She does not-"\n\nTHE VOICE brightens then blasts a shot that rockets at PRIDE. The shot hits sending PRIDE's cloak cloak flying. His mask drops to the ground and disappears.\n\nROWB:\n"What did- what did you do to him?!"\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"Quieted him for a time. You can seek his council whenever you choose. Beckon him and he will come."\n\nROWB:\n"Why did you give me to him? Now I'm stuck with that arrogant shale spitter!"\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"We need him, we need his power."\n\n[[For What?|VoiceForWhat]]\n\n[[He's right.|PridePoint]]

After PLAYER returns to the gap. \n\nROWB:\n"Alright... Never done one this long before but..."\n\nROWB's tattoos glow more brightly as he gestures forward.\n\nROWB:\n"Here goes!"\n\nGlowing blood seeps from his hands onto the ground. It quickly flows forward towards the edge of the cliff as if alive. When it reaches the edge it begins to transform, expanding and twisting into a ragged bridge as it builds slowly across the gap.\n\nROWB:\n"Ha! A disappointment to all of Kapyl am I?"\n\n[[PLAYER continues over bridge|FirstBridge4]]

PLAYER can explore GOLEMSGRAVE at the leisure and can discover both WHISPER STONES and PRIDE STATUES. They can also ask PRIDE general questions when they summon him.\n\n[[PLAYER finds first PRIDE STATUE|FirstPrideStatue]]\n\n[[PLAYER talks to PRIDE|GolemsgravePrideQuestions]]\n\n[[Whisper Stones|GolemsgraveWhisperStones]]\n\n[[Continue|GnaxsisTempleArea]]

ROWB:\n"She warned me my grandmother would try and kill me, its because of her I was able to escape... I owe her my life."\n\nPRIDE:\n"A debt she will no doubt utilize to her gain. Do you not know what she is?! She is-"\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"Silence Pride!"\n\nA swirl of energy spins around PRIDE and it appears to cause him pain. THE VOICE reaches STONE CARVING 02 depicting GNAXSIS abusing the power of the UUM STONE and enslaving the Everlit.\n\nWhen the PLAYER reaches STONE CARVING 02, THE VOICE circles around it and eventually seeps into it. IMAGES appear around ROWB illustrating the narrative.\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"Your people enjoyed unparalleled prosperity under our rule."\n\nROWB:\n"The Age of Gnaxsis..."\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"As time passed, Gnaxsis began to dim, his life slipping away... I would not let him go, I needed him; I can't... I //won't// be alone again!"\n\nTHE VOICE sighs.\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"But my friend, my Gnaxsis, succumb to madness. His thoughts turned to hatred and paranoia. The Everlit the focus of his wrath."\n\nTHE VOICE:\n(Sorrowful)\n"He killed them... So many... I remember their faces as their light left them. I remember their twisted burnt forms strewn across the forest in heaps set ablaze. He would even kill the children... I tried to stop him, but the part me that is him would not be sated."\n\nThe slab dims as THE VOICE leaves STONE CARVING 2 and it streaks off into the distance.\n\n[[PLAYER continues|StoneCarving3]]

THE VOICE reaches STONE CARVING 03 depicting GNAXSIS turning into a monster and the UUM STONE shattering.\n\nWhen the PLAYER reaches STONE CARVING 3 THE VOICE circles around it and eventually seeps into it.\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"The war between Gnaxsis and the Everlit reached a peak, the toll on both people too great to sustain. It became clear the hatred of Gnaxsis would be the end of all."\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"His own turned against him and with the aid of the Everlit they toppled Gnaxsis and imprisoned him."\n\nTHE VOICE:\n(somewhat angry)\n"The victors saw me as a prize they could share. They broke me from him, piece by piece... my Pride, my Passion, my Wonder... all torn from him and distributed among them."\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"Gnaxsis rotted in prison, an immortal captive. His hatred and anger became so great they manifested, corrupting his form. Even today he still remains... a monster..."\n\nROWB:\n"Gnaxsis is alive?"\n\nBefore THE VOICE can respond, a GOLEM nearby starts to stand up.\n\nROWB:\n"By Uum! What is that?!"\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"The rage of the Everlit persists... Run Rowb!"\n\nSTONE CARVING 3 dims as THE VOICE leaves and streaks off into the distance.\n\n[[PLAYER evades Golem|FirstBridge1]]

THE VOICE eventually reaches a large ruined STONE CARVING 01 depicting the figure of THE VOICE bringing knowledge to the Refractan and Everlit people.\n\nWhen the PLAYER reaches the STONE CARVING 01 the THE VOICE circles around it and eventually seeps into it. IMAGES appear around ROWB illustrating the narrative.\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"I existed once, alone, in the dark."\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"Then something came... something else. I had never met anything else before..."\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"Its primal thoughts gave me form; gave me substance... I could walk the world for the first time."\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"Together we discovered tools, language, logic... Together we became whole and brought thought to the rest of his people. They called him Gnaxsis; mind-founder, in the old speech..."\n\nTHE VOICE leaves STONE CARVING 01 and streaks off into the distance.\n\n[[PLAYER continues|StoneCarving2]]

SNASROD: GOLEMSGRAVE\n\nHistory:\nThis part of the forest was once host to a grand battle between the GNAXSIS forces and the Everlit. Since this battle was fought in front of the GNAXSIS TEMPLE there are still ruins but less so than the ROT BOG. The enormous HANDS of the old GRAND GOLEMs can be seen in various places overgrown with moss and fungus. The GRAND GOLEMs were used during the war by the Everlit, most have ceased functioning but some of the broken pieces persist in the form of the GOLEMs the player fights in this area. \n\nThere are also statues of PRIDE which will serve as his side quest in the demo. These statues were made after the UUM STONE shattered during the era of peace between the Everlit and Refractors before the conflict that resulted in current KAPYL.\n\nMajor Events:\n1. The blackness expands revealing PRIDE'S REALM. ROWB is on a small island. PRIDE'S REALM is an ocean of ornate structures and monuments jutting out like jagged teeth from the depths endlessly into the horizon.\n\nROWB:\n(Surprised and Confused)\n"Wha... wait... what? I was just-"\n\nPRIDE laughs wickedly, it echoes from all around.\n\nPRIDE:\n"Finally, someone has come."\n\nPLAYER is given conversation choices via the directional pad.\n\n[[Where am I?!|PrideConvo01]]\n\n[[What are you?!|PrideConvo02]]\n\n[[Don't waste my time.|PrideConvoPrideConvo]]

ROWB:\n"What do we need this power for? What is this nebulous task you would have me complete?"\n\nTHE VOICE hangs silently for awhile.\n\nTHE VOICE:\n(sadly)\n"I need your help."\n\nROWB stays silent considering.\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"Perhaps you should discuss it with your new found companion. The cave seems empty and unassuming. Partially hidden and submerged in the mud is a rickety wooden version of PRIDE's MASK.\n\nWhen PLAYER looks at MASK:\n\nSome pieces of rock break from the cieling casting rays of light down on the MASK illuminating it.\n\nROWB:\n"Wait... what's that?"\n\n[[PLAYER approaches MASK|PridesMaskAttaches]]\n\n

Your voice... your voice is gone!"\n\nGNAXSIS begins to sway forward towards them.\n\nGNAXSIS:\n"Such terrible silence! Come back to me!"\n\nTHE VOICE turns to look at the PLAYER.\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"Your first task."\n\nTHE VOICE dissipates into liquid and drops to the ground. Suddenly the spiral in the UUM STONE comes apart and after coiling up, falls back down to the ground melting into a fluid that swims in ROWB's direction along the ground.\n\nIt splashes against ROWB's feet then swiftly starts coiling around him constricting his legs. ROWB tries to grab his sword from his chest but the substance swivels around his arms holding them tight.\n\nA frong of the substance curls up around the back of ROWB's head then dangles in front of him.\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"Do not be afraid... It dances through the air forming intricate spirals in front of him.\n\nTHE VOICE:\n"You are here to learn Rowb. When the PLAYER approaches PRIDE's MASK it begins to lift up out of the mud.\n\nROWB:\n"What? What's it doing?-"\n\nBefore ROWB can finish his sentence the mask launches itself towards the PLAYER's face. It clamps to ROWB's head and he begins to scream. The PLAYER can see ROWB's fingers through the mask's eyeholes desperately trying to pry it off as it slowly encompasses the PLAYER's vision.
