You are Joe Marshall, a private investigator. For the next upcoming events you will be investigating a crime scene all by yourself without my help. You will question and analyze potential suspects to see who commited the crime. Your mission is to choose carely and make the right decision as choosing the wrong person can lead to losing your job and putting the wrong person behind bars. Let's see if you can catch the right suspect.
*You may or may not want to write notes and clues down*
Let's get [[started]]First we'll look at some POI's (persons of interest) and what they have to say.
[[William Coin]] Witness
[[Dierdre Tussell]] Victims Wife
[[Marjorie Kai]] Artist's Model
[[Pierre Carti]] Abstract Artist
[[Next]]
You- Can you tell me what you knew and saw about Bob's murder?
William- Yes sir, I took my dog out on a thursday evening for a walk. We were coincidentally walking past one of Bob's studios. As we got closer we heard a really loud unusual noise. It sounded like "cracking open and crying out."
Due to the noise I picked my dog up and we hid behind a nearby bush. Shortly after hiding I saw a lady in a blue dress leaving the studio.
That's all I remember, sir.
You- Alright thank you Mr. Coin.
[[back->suspects]] You approach to the room where she is. You see her distraught and scribbling all over your note pad.
You [[walk in]]You- Can you tell me more about Bob
Marjorie- Bob and I spent countless hours together. *hesitates* In a completely professional manner, of course.
It's a tragedy. The world has lost another artist and I've lost a paycheck. Oils and paints aren't cheap, you know.
Sorry, humour in the face of sadness. Rest in peace Bob.
[[Back->suspects]]You- What do you have to say about the mysterious murder of Bob Rollins.
Pierre- Good riddance. One less bourgeoisie artist in the world. Why make art that just looks like what surrounds you? I already see it.
[[The abstract]]Today you are looking at an unsolved murder mystery of an artist that had taken place on a artists' retreat. The victims name was Bob Rollins. He was very bright and caring. He was very nice as described by his models and peers. He had a loving wife and had everything a person can ask for.
Observe the [[suspects]]Alright let's go over the suspects...
We know whoever killed Bob was wearing a blue dress and used a palette knife.
[[Dierdre]]
[[Marjorie]]
[[Pierre]]
[[William]]
Good afternoon Mrs. Tussell
Dierdre- I'm sorry I just have a lot of feelings I need to get out right now.
.
.
.
.
.
Bob was really creative. He had so much to give to the world.
You- What had happened the night of the murder Mrs. Tussell
Dierdre- I was in my studio. We had just gotten into a fight, it was stupid. But I was making it up to him by making portraits of our love story with pastel and chalk which is all I [[use.]]
Dierdre- Funny.........
maybe now he'll gain some notoriety
[[back->suspects]] <img src="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/35/Sacklarian_Contemporary_Abstract_Painting.jpg" />
This is art.. And all it should be.
[[Back->suspects]] Dierdre was distraught over the death of her husband. But she also said they had an argument earlier. Was her comment about finally being famous an off-hand remark or something more??
[[Back->Next]] Marjorie was lost in thought. Why would she murder someone who paid her to model?
Dierdre did seem upset by her presence though.
[[back->Next]] Let's look back at Williams studio.
The colours in his painting were switched.
He's colour blind!!!!
He can't tell the difference between red and green and see's blue!
[[next]]Pierre had a true disdain for Bob's work.
But could that anger be translated into violence???
Come to think of it, none of the witness were wearing a blue dress.
Was william even a credible [[witness->William]]
Since william saw a woman in a dress and is red-green colour blind, this takes Pierre out of the suspect list.
Marjorie was wearing a red dress that night
Dierdre was wearing a green dress that night.
.
.
.
.
Dierdre was distraught but angry.
Marjorie was sad and had paint all over her.
[[nextt]]At the scene of the crime, the authorities had found a palette knife and confirmed it to be the murder weapon.
You can now go all the way [[back->Start]] if you need to gather all the clues and hints to make your decision as it will be required [[coming up]]Who killed Bob Rollins?
[[William?]]
[[Dierdre?]]
[[Marjorie?]]
or [[Pierre?]]You are wrong.
You lost your job and put someone innocent behind bars. You are wrong.
You lost your job and put someone innocent behind bars. Dierdre used only chalk and pastel.
Marjorie was covered in [[paint]]You are wrong.
You lost your job and put someone innocent behind bars. Marjorie said they spent a lot of time together. But quickly hesitated and stated professionally.
Did he reject her? And maybe that caused the "stupid" fight between Bob and Dierdre.
Marjorie looked for revenge and killed her employer Bob.
[[Now what?]]Marjorie will go to jail and face an appropriate sentence for her doings.
You did good Joe. I'm proud to have let you taken this case.
[[Congrats!]][[The End->About the game]]
