How many times have you heard this ''bullshit?''
Nothing can prepare you for losing someone you've grown fond of, nothing can prepare you for tough times, you lean on someone for support and they let you fall.

Ready or not -- you're going to lose those who at one point mean the most to you, you're going to go through shit that's unfair.
Whether you're prepared for it or not your world will come down with a bang.
Memories //scattered// around you like trash blowing in the wind and it'll seem like you're the only one who's trying to pick up the pieces

It's going to feel like you're putting out an ''SOS'' signal, but no one is going to come to your rescue.
You'll be alone, crying in a dark room as hope slips away with every tear that falls to the ground.
Where do you //go// from here?

You'll be lost for awhile, it honeslty might seem like //forever//...
"You'll be okay, brush it off"
"Toughen up, don't act like a baby"

"A lot of people have it worse than you"

No one understands how it feels, crying uncontrollably the hopeless feeling that washes over you time after time
Should I just give up?
They'll never understand that this isn't me, it's not who I want to be, but I can't get back without help
No one helps

Time ''heals'' all wounds.
It might seem like you're drowning in your thoughts over the broken pieces, but eventually time //eases// the pain.
Suppress the pain... push it to the back of your mind and wait for the problem to creep up on you all over again.
It's a never ending cycle...

Just //hide// the pain, you'll be fine, right?

Probably not because those same people put on the best acts, they don't want to talk about the dark thoughts so they act normal to avoid questions

It's a feeling you can't //shake//, nothing helps.
You'll fake a smile for awhile, but the act only lasts for so long

Depression puts a dark, gloomy cloud over how someone sees themselves, the world and future.
This cloud cannot be willed away nor can it be ignored or magically disappear.

I tried everything,
maybe is was being away from home
maybe it was the stress of school
maybe it was the stress of extra activities I do
maybe it's from those concussions I had in high school
Why aren't I happy?
maybe it's the friendships falling apart
maybe it's missing my little brother and sister grow up
maybe it's me overthinking things
maybe I'm not going to the gym enough, that usually helps
it's not helping anymore...

Maybe it's a lot of things, maybe there's a simple cause,
maybe it's just me...

What is normal?
I use to say, "I want to feel normal."
Then I wonder if this was my normal, was my normal... abnormal?

If you lose all hope, seek help.
Not everyone will understand at first, but if that person doesn't support you,
you're better off without them.

People constantly come and go from your life, not everyone is meant to stay.
A tough thing to realize is that not everyone will have the same heart as you or support you the way you'd support them

Consistency is //key.//
Consistently make yourself happy, do things that'll put a smile on your face.
No one is going to say the things you need to hear.
Things won't get better overnight.

How it feels is based upon the motions and feelings of depression, but also to bring awareness that it is okay. There is an ugly stigma attached to all mental illnesses and this causes people to be less to go get the necessary help they may need.
