You enter the next town and decide to go to the general store to inquire about peacocks and savory.\n\n[[Go to general store|General Store]]
You realised going East would be stupid, because the only people east of your town are incompetent idiots and perverts.\n\nOn your way west, you enter what your village calls "The Forest of Spooky Things". It was called that in order to keep children close to the village...or was it?\n\nOnce you are deeper in the forest, you see two men fighting in the woods.\n\nYou have a battleaxe of your own, so you can choose to help one of them or walk past them. What will you do?\n\n[[Help Old Man|Old Man]]\n[[Help Young Man|Young Man]]\n[[Leave them alone|Leave Them]]\n
You decide to decapitate the young man with your battle axe. His blood sprays all over your new boots. You are sad about that, because they were very expensive.\n\n"Thanks for the help," said the old man, "but unfortunately for you I'm trying to join a gang. I have to kill seven men and he was the sixth. I would appreciate it if you let me kill you so I could join them."\n\nYou express how much you want to live and how wanting to join a gang at his age is stupid and ridiculous.\n\n"I don't care," said the old man as he stabs you in the heart.\n\nThe blood palpitates from the wound. You fall to the ground gurgling on your own blood before drowning in a pool of it. A pack of happy looking chipmunks then come and eat your remains.\n\n[[GAME OVER|Start]]
You are a hero trying to find a cure for a disease spreading in your village.\n\nYou know that the cure requires the herb savory, as it was the last word uttered by the village doctor that was trying to procure an antidote.\n\nSince you are the only one left that isn't infected, you can go east or go west.\n\n[[Go East|East]]\n[[Go West|West]]
You left the fighting men, but then realized you don't know the lay out of the forest and got lost. Maybe asking one of them for help would have been a good idea.\n\nAs you rethink which man you would have saved, a bear sneaks up behinds you and mauls you to death. The bear then cooks you in a rotisserie pit and feeds you to its children.\n\n[[GAME OVER|Start]]
You recognize the messenger as your cousin's boyfriend's friend's roomate that lives in your village.\n\n"I finally caught up to you," he said, out of breath.\n\nYou ask what he was doing out of the village.\n\n"Oh, well the village to the east of us already made an antidote and brought it to us," said the messenger.\n\n"Well, that was very kind of them," said Damian.\n\n"Yes, it was," said Emilio as he pocketed the antidote you just had procured.\n\n"It kind of makes you feel like everything we've done has been pointless," said Marcus.\n\n"Yeah, it really does," said Damian.\n\nYou all drop your shovels even though the grave wasn't completely finished. You say your goodbyes as you go your seperate ways, never to see each other again.\n\n[[You Win! Play Again?|Start]]
East is stupid. Go West.\n\n[[Go West|West]]
You enter the pirate ship with your friends.\n\nUnfortunately, there are four of you and are easily caught.Upon hearing you, the pirates surround you with their swords drawn.\n\n"Arrr you trying to steal from us?" asked the captain.\n\nYou nod your head.\n\n"Well that was very honest of you. I wasn't expecting that," said the captain.\n\n"Neither was I, are you trying to get us killed man?" asked Emilio.\n\nYou then explain your situation to the captain.\n\n"Well, I don't give a crabfart in a torrential storm what you need. I like Patches McSquakers' voice," said the captain as he patted the parrot's head.\n\n"*SQUWAK* PLEASE KILL ME," said Patches.\n\n"BAD PARROT," yelled the captain.\n\n"It seems like your parrot isn't very happy," said Marcus.\n\n"Yarr, you're right. He's old and blind and everyday is torture for him," said the captain, "I can't bring myself to put him out of his misery."\n\n"Well, if you're hungry I can cook him for you. All we need are his vocal chords," said Marcus.\n\n"Come to think of it, I'm pretty hungry," said the captain.\n\n"That's amazing, your "useless" spell has been useful twice in a row," said Damian.\n\n"I know, I'm scared too," said Marcus.\n\nYou got the vocal chords and the captain said the parrot was delicious.\n\n"We should continue our journey, would you like to come with us Emilio?" asked Damian.\n\nYou ask Damian if it's a good idea to bring a theif along as it might attract negative attention towards your party.\n\n"Why do you always have the final say? It's not like you're a main protagonist or anything," said Damian.\n\nYou look puzzled, but Emilio joins your party. He needs to go to other towns to steal things, as he is a theif.\n\nYou sail with the pirates to a town across the ocean, as one of the pirates mentions they have a well regarded apothecary in that town.\n\n[[Land Ho|Apothecary]]
"But many lives depend on you making this potion," said Damian.\n\n"We will tell all of the people we heal with this antidote of your sacrifice and you will be remembered as a hero. The tale will be passed on for generations," said Marcus.\n\n"Damn, you've convinced me. Don't forget to use the antidote wisely!" said the apothecary.\n\nAfter the potion is completed, you start digging a grave for the apothecary. You see a man running towards you.\n\n[[Messenger|Messenger]]
"Hey there," said Marcus.\n\n"Who are you? You aren't from this village," said the villager.\n\nYou explain your journey and tell him you need the eel.\n\n"Oh, this eel?" he asked, "Well I was going to eat it but it's cold and my stove's fire went out and I have no way of reignighting it."\n\nMarcus' eyes light up.\n\n"I told you guys you'd need my magic," said Marcus, "I'll heat it up if you give us the eel's eyes."\n\n"Sounds like a deal to me," said the villager.\n\nMarcus cast Micro Heat and the villager gave you the eyes.\n\n"I've heard about that plague, and I know that you also need a parrot's vocal chords," said the villager.\n\n"I hear parrots are on the completely opposite side of the world. This is very inconvenient," said Damian.\n\n"Well, I know there's a pirate ship at the docks. They usually have parots," said the Villager, "I'm planning on boarding the ship and stealing goods before they leave, you can come with me."\n\n"Wait a minute, are you a theif?" asked Marcus.\n\n"Why yes, I am. My name is Emilio," he said.\n\n"Perfect, our party was missing a rogue class. Wouldn't you say, Mr. Hero?" asked Damian.\n\nYou nod your head even though you don't understand what Damian meant and agree to wait until nightfall to go on the pirate ship.\n\n[[Wait until Nightfall|Pirate]]\n\n\n
You search for hours upon hours for peacocks, but it is all for naught.\n\nDamian then admits he doesn't even know what a peacock looks like and neither do you, so you decide to go to the next town.\n\n[[Go to the next town|Next Town 2]]
A Traditional Hero's Journey
When you enter the next town, Damian admits he doesn't know what a peacock even looks like, and you realize that you don't either. You decided to go to ask someone at the general store about peacocks\n\n[[Go to general store|General Store]]
You enter the general store and see a mage behind the counter.\n\n"Just let me do the talking, I don't trust mages very much and neither should you," said Damian.\n\nThe mage smiles as you walk towards the counter.\n\n"Hi, can I help you?" the mage asked.\n\n"How come a mage runs the general store in this town?" asked Damian.\n\n"You can tell I'm a mage? The rest of the savages in this town don't believe me!" the mage yelled ecstatically.\n\n"I think that's a lie," Damian said. "You have a staff, that means you're a mage. How would they not realise that?"\n\nThe mage sighs. \n\n"It is because I have only learned a useless spell. The one spell I know, which I call "Micro Heat", heats up food that has gone cold so that it is more tasty."\n\nYou ask if he knows anything about peacocks and savory.\n\n"I have both here, but would you two be on a quest to make an antidote for the plague?" asked the mage. "I have heard rumours that the antidote also requires the eyes of an eel, and I don't have those in my shop, but there's a general store in the next town over."\n\nThe mage pauses.\n\n"It's usually a dangerous road to the next town, I'd really like to join you if you're headed there." \n\nHe hands you the ingredients and waits for your response.\n\n"I don't want a mage to join us, but it's your choice," said Damian.\n\n\nWill you let the mage come with you or leave without him?\n\n[[Let the mage come|With Mage]]\n[[Leave without the mage|Without Mage]]
You meet the Apothecary in his shop. The man looks like he is on the brink of death.\n\n"I don't make potions anymore, I'm sorry," said the Apothecary.\n\n"But you're the only one who can make us a cure for the plague that ravages our villages," said Damian.\n\n"Every time I make a potion, I lose a year of my life," said the Apothecary, "I'm on my last year."\n\n"That must be why he looks like crap," Marcus blurted out.\n\nYou can try to get him to make the potion or leave and let him enjoy the last year of his life.\n\n[[Leave Apothecary|Bandits]]\n[[Ask him to reconsider|Reconsider]]
"Thank you, I am in your debt," the young man said. "My name is Damian, I am looking for a cure for a plague that is spreading across my village."\n\nYou tell Damian that you are on a similar mission.\n\n"Well then, we could work together. I hear the antidote needs peacock eggs, so I'm looking for peacocks in this forest." said Damian.\n\nYou can keep heading through the forest towards the next town over or search the forest for peacocks.\n\n[[Go to next town|Next Town]]\n[[Search for peacock|Peacock Hunt]]
Mike Amato, Will Zettel
"Thanks! My name is Marcus! I've always wanted to leave this village and go on a journey!" said the mage.\n\n"Well, if you think it's a good idea, I'll tolerate him," stated Damian.\n\nYou then journey to the next town over.\n\n[[Next town over|Next Town Over W Mage]]
"No, your spell is useless and you're terrible," said Damian. "You should rethink your life."\n\nYou didn't take the mage with you. You can tell by the look on his face, he is very sad.\n\nYou travel to the next town over.\n\n[[Next town over|Next Town Over WO Mage]]
"Thank Buddha we didn't take that crappy mage with us," said Damian.\n\nYou hear calling from a distance. You turn around to see Marcus running towards you.\n\n"Hey guys! Wait up! I guarantee you'll need my skills," said Marcus.\n\n"Your spell is useless and you are useless," said Damian.\n\n"Hey...shut up," replied Marcus.\n\nIt looks like no matter what, Marcus is coming with you.\n\nYou arrive at the outskirts of the town.\n\n"I thought you said the road between towns was dangerous," said Damian, "We didn't have any random encounters on the way here."\n\n"Ah yes, but it's after 5 o'clock," replied Marcus, "That's usually when bandits end their shifts and go home to their families. Their employers don't like paying overtime."\n\nYou walk into the town.\n\nOnce in town, you notice a villager holding an eel.\n\n[[Go to villager|Villager]]\n
All of a sudden, the door to the shop is kicked in. You turn around and see a bunch of bandits. They all have their weapons drawn.\n\n"Give us all your money, apothecary, or we'll kill you where you stand!" said the bandit leader.\n\n"Okay, one second," said the apothecary.\n\nMarcus leans towards you.\n\n"From all of our questing, I've learned a new spell. It makes enemies feel uncomfortable, like REALLY uncomfortable. I call it "Awkward Moment". I can use it on these bandits," he whispered in your ear.\n\nYou give him an approving nod.\n\nAll of the bandits suddenly give nervous looks to each other. They scramble out of the shop, knocking flasks and tables over while shouting various phrases like, "I think I have to pee!" or "That tension made me uncomfortable!"\n\n"You saved my life, therefore I owe you. I will make the potion for you," said the apothecary.\n\nHe died a hero's death and his sacrifice will always be remembered by the people in your village that you are about to save.\n\nAfter the potion is completed you begin to dig a grave for the apothecary, a messenger comes up to you.\n\n[[Messenger|Messenger]]
"I thought you said the road between towns was dangerous," said Damian, "We didn't have any random encounters on the way here."\n\n"Ah yes, but it's after 5 o'clock," replied Marcus, "That's usually when bandits end their shifts and go home to their families. Their employers don't like paying overtime."\n\nYou walk into the town.\n\n"This town is where I get my supplies," said Marcus.\n\n"That's all nice and good, but the supplies store is closed today," Damian said.\n\nYou notice a villager with an eel in his hands and tell your friends about him.\n\n"Let's check it out," said Damian.\n\n[[Go to villager|Villager]]
