I'm gonna be up-front here. This game is so not original. I stole most of the concept/situation/gameplay from the wonderful game no-one has to die. by Stuart Madafiglio. This is more like a Ruby Redfort AU of that game than anything else. You should definitely go and play no-one has to die. (it's free!!) since it's just BETTER on so many levels. But if you want to go through this game without any spoilers/with maximum shock value, maybe just avoid it until you're done. All the music in CHRYSALIS is almost entirely original. Yes, that's right. I wrote an entire soundtrack for a fangame. (If anybody's actually interested, I might release it on Soundcloud or Bandcamp or something, but like. I don't anticipate anybody wanting that.) The one piece of music that isn't original is Reunion Tour by Griffin Mcelroy, originally from the Adventure Zone. This was simply because I was listening to it when writing/programming it, and it just fit so well. I couldn't actually think of anything that I could compose that would work better. In full, this game took me about a week to complete. Two days dedicated to writing/editing the script, one day for setting up the game structure and making sure the sound notifications were working, four days for putting the script into the game, and an extra day-and-a-half for playtesting and programming tweaks. Thanks to the Twinery message forum for helping me with variables, which I still do not understand. The music was composed and put together in between everything else, and some of it is actually just appropriated from another one of my composition projects. But it still is mine. Trust me on that.
