[[West...->Labyrinth_15]]You awake the sleeping minotaur, but then find yourself overcome without a
weapon by your side. After you strugle fruitlessly, you collapse to exhaustion,
and the minotaur then rips a limb off of your body, eating it as you scream.
Your death was not a fast one, as it took an hour for you to finally die due to
loss of blood. Your body was then treated as leftovers, until your skeleton lay
scattered acrossed the floor of the minotaur's lair.
BAD END
[[Continue...->Play Again?]]You did it. You emerge from the labyrinth unscathed, and you show the minotaur's
head to the two guards. They wince, then look at you in an awesomely horrific
look, and lead you out of the Labyrinth.
King Minos then see what you have done, and reveals to you that the minotaur was
of noble blood. Since he is glad that you have done the deed, but is saddened
of the loss of his son, he allows you to leave Crete.
You then wait 3 days, heading back to the city state of Athens. There, you
hope to catch up with your family.

[[Next...->Minotaur's Lair]]<%

Ever since the Panathenaic Games of last year, where King Minos' son Androgeus
died by the hooves of a bull, King Minos has demanded that seven men and seven
women are to travel to the city-state of Crete to be sacrificed. Since it was
not wise to refuse the great king, each kingdom of Greece obliged. Rumor has it,
underneath King Mino's palace, a monsterous man-beast lived, devouring those
sacrificed people.
When the city-state of Athens was to send their sacrifice, King Aegeus could not
bring himself to send innocent young people to die, and attempted to stall their
sacrifice. Eventually, King Minos became enraged at Athens with their delay, and
sent himself on a vast fleet of ships to Athens. The fleet, being so monstrous,
and the fact that King Minos was at Athens, caused the citizens of Athens to
shudder in fear. The last time that King Minos was in Athens, Minos had taken
Daedalus and Icarus, father and son. Whispers also began, talking of the
monster known as the Minotaur.
As the ships began to reach the docks, soldiers leapt from them, their armor,
shields, and weaponry clacking against each other. They marched through the
streets of Athens, seizing anyone who looked fair and noble.
Unfortunately, you were among those unlucky few.
As you are dragged off to the ships, you kick and scream. Your family sees you
being taken. Your mother can only weep, as your father pleads with the soldiers
as he is then knocked out cold on the streets. Your younger brother and sister
start to cry as they see your dad on the ground and your mother weeping,
screaming your name. You try to fight back tears, but to no success.
You then find yourself bound by your hands on a ship. Three long days, you spend
every second wishing to go back, as you are observed by your captors. At night,
you can only join in with the wails of your companions as you wait for your
impending doom.
Finally, the boat lurches, and you tumble in your cell area. The boat had
reached its destination, and with that you begin to accept your fate.
To your surprise, there is a large crowd outside of the boat, cheering and
jeering as you and your companions exit said boat. You become completely
confused. Did King Minos not just take you from your home?
King Minos then walks to the dock edge, and raises one hand. The crowd falls
silent.
"My people, today, I present to you those who would be willing to save our
kingdom! Rejoice, and we will feast in their honor!"
The crowd errupts with cheers, as the king leads a procession to his palace. The
group was then taken into the dining hall. Before you, a large buffet of
exotic meats and wines are brought to the table, and your mouth begins to
drop. You had not eaten such good food before, and you begin to scarf it down.
Entertainment is brought to the dining hall, and you can only enjoy your
environment. From the debilitating darkness that was the ship, you begin to feel
your fears and sadness subside, for just a while.
As the festivities end, you are brought to your room, and your mouth hangs even
lower than before; the room you have been brought to was of kings! You attempt
to persuade your guide that this room was not meant for you, but your guide
insists. You then nearly jump into the bed, and sleep.
You wake up and repeat your feasting and partying for fourteen days. Each day
that you repeat this process, you find one less of your companions there. You
then begin to dread when it is your time to go.
After your thirteen companions had disappeared, you begin to dream.
Unfortunately, your dream is a dark one, where you are stuck within a twisting
and dire labyrinth. You hear the screams and wails of your companions here.
You feel as if you are being hunted, as a large beast stalks you. But, you
happen to have a golden crown to light your way, with a golden spool of thread
behind you. You then come upon the beast, dark and sinister, and you brandish
your sword. You then kill the beast.
However, your dream is then abruptly interrupted by an escort of soldiers. You
are grabbed by the limbs and forcibly taken down the stairs, and thrown into an
empty room. Two soldiers block the entryway, and stand solid as you and your
companions look back at each other. You and your company see paths branching
in every direction, and it seems dizzying to you. You and your friends are then
given a torch each. At that moment, when you are the last to get your torch,
you hear a roar echo from some place, and each of your companions scatter,
running down the halls.
You then brace yourself, and get ready to move down the labyrinth.
