Life has been good in the region of Tarvol. Your clan is one of the most powerful of all the Dwarven clans, and has been for as long as you can remember. That power comes from the great wealth you have saved from all of the time spent mining the mountains of Tarvol. Unfortunately, those mines have dried up.
You have been asked to lead your team of miners to the mountain of Tos Mett to continue mining. Will you [[Lead the Miners]] as requested, or [[stay->Staying Home]] in Tarvol and hope to find work? You awake early one morning to the sounds of carts being loaded and the sad "goodbyes" of your neighbors and friends. You decided to stay home and look for new work, but the rest of the miners set out for Tos Mett today. Now all you have to do is decide if you will [[Join]] everyone outside, or [[Stay]] in bed.It takes a couple weeks to get everything ready, but with your careful planning and leadership the miners are finally ready to set out for Tos Mett.
The road is long, but the travel is easy. The days turn into weeks, but eventually your group arrives at your new home. The first decision you have to make in your new home to deciding to let the group get [[settled at home]], or [[investigate the new mines]].
You drag yourself out of bed, stretch, and slowly make your way to the door. Outside it seems everyone in your small village has gathered to bid the group of miners a last farewell.
One of your closest friends comes over to speak with you as the group begins to move out of town. He makes one last attempt at convincing you to join them. Do you [[Go with Him]], or do stick with your first decision and [[Stay Home]]?
You roll over and stay in bed as the miners slowly work their way out of town. You close your eyes and drift back to sleep. When you wake up you begin looking for [[new jobs->Stay Home]].
You tell your friend your just have to pack a couple of things before you are ready to join them. Quickly, you rush through your house packing as much as you can carry with you. The miners have already left town so you have to run to catch up! As soon as you are with the group someone takes your bag and tosses it on a cart with everyone else’s bag.
After a couple [[hours of travel->Lead the Miners]] you are sure you make the right decision.
You stay with the group of dwarves that do not mine. A few days pass and you begin searching for a new job. At first you are hopeful to find something new. You try woodcutting, but after a few days the head of the woodcutters lets you know you are more in the way than useful.
Next, you try getting a job as a clerk at a general store, but you just cannot figure out how much change to give when you work at the cash register. Again, you are asked to look for a new job.
Each new job comes with a set of challenges you just cannot overcome. It quickly becomes clear you should have just left with the miners.
What [[The End of This Road]] now? This is where your journey ends after staying home. Feel free to go back to the beginning and [[start over->And so it Begins]] again to see what other endings there are.You have decided to let your group of miners set up their new homes and begin to figure out how to survive in a new place. The first few days are filled with people organizing their new homes and learning how to move around the small town.
Soon, you realize that it feels less comfortable living this far away from the rest of your clan. The comfort of being in such a big clan is replaced with a fear you did not know before. And you are not alone. As their leader, you are asked to make a decision about how to protect the group. Do you organize a group of miners and try to train them to be a [[city militia]], or do you write back to Elder Gregor, the leader of your old clan, to ask for some of the [[army to protect you]]?

They begin training day after day, and slowly you feel more comfortable. However, you are worried that you will be mining less than you need to because so many of the workers you were counting on are now a part of the militia.
You have a decision to make. Do you [[write home]] to let Elder Gregor know you will not be mining as much as you have been asked to, or do you ask the rest of the mining party [[work longer and harder]] than they ever have before?

Elder Gregor,
We have run into more danger than we thought, and to protect our families we have had to form a militia. This militia has cut the number of miners that could work in the mines, so we will be sending less ore than we planned to. If this is unacceptable, we request that you send a small group of the army to keep us safe.
You wait for his [[response]].

We cannot tolerate less work than what we planned on. To keep you safe I am sending some of the army to keep you safe, however this unplanned expense has to be paid for. You and your group will be responsible for paying, feeding, and housing the members of the army I am sending you.
You call a meeting of the miners to [[read them this letter]].
You call a meeting of the miners to make a decision about what to do next. After a long and heated debate the group eventually agrees to tolerate the extra expense of taking care of the army.
The only real concern anyone has is about how long you can keep paying for this.
You agree to [[meet again]] in a month to discuss how well things are working for the miners.
The days and weeks that follow the reading of the letter grew more and more tense. The army takes more than their share of food and they begin claiming the best houses. The miners are getting frustrated seeing so much of their hard work stolen by the members of the army. You have to decide what to do. Half of your mining clan want to stop paying the army and let them take care of themselves. The other half want to write a letter complaining of the unfair expenses placed on them by Elder Gregor
Do you [[stop paying the army]], or [[send a letter of your complaints]] to Elder Gregor?
