You wake up in an unknown area. You look around and see nothing but white as far as the eye can see.
Once your eyes have adjusted, you spot a doorway. You can't remember what your name is or who you are, but the door is the only thing around, so you [[open]] it.You find yourself in a long, narrow hallway. It is pitch dark, but you see a speck of light trickling in at the end. You begin to [[walk]] towards it.You hear whispers as you walk, as though there were a thousand people right beside you.
As you reach the light, you discover that it was illuminating a desk, at which a very stiff-looking bald man sits. He blocks the path to a stairway behind him.
You approach, and [[ask]] him where you are."Up or down?" you ask.
"Yes," he says, "based on a predetermined set of criteria, we decide whether the deceased goes up to the good place or down to the...not-so-good place."
Your eyes widen as panic sets in and you blurt, "am I going to the bad place??"
The man doesn't blink. "Let's take a look at your [[file]].""This is it," he says.
"This is it?
...I'm afraid I don't understand."
"You're done!" He replies. "Finito! Quacked! Croaked!"
"...you mean I'm d-dead?"
"Yes, yes quite dead I assure you."
[["How did I die?"]]"You will find the answers you're looking for shortly," the man says.
"If you could [[tell]] me your name please, it doesn't appear as though you're on the list for either up or down."He reads it over as you stand nearby, petrified that you might wind up in a place so dreadful.
All of the sudden, his eyes widen as he shoots up abruptly.
"Surely there's been a mistake," he mutters as he disappears into thin air.
There is nowhere to go, so you [[wait]].And [[wait some more]]He finally reappears after quite some time. He has a puzzled look on his face as he explains.
"I spoke to the big guy upstairs and that prick in the basement, and they confirmed what I thought. You're a True Neutral."
"A [[True Neutral]]?""Yes," he elaborates, "you're a True Neutral. This means that, remarkably, you spent your time alive being equally good as you were bad...
..like that time you replaced the church wine with vodka."
"...makes sense," you mutter sheepishly. "So what does that mean for me?"
He points behind him, and another doorway appears
"Through [[there]]," he says.Another man greets you as you walk through, identical in every way to the man at the desk.
"Wait, are you-"
"No, I am not him," the doppelgänger replies. "We are one, but not the same."
"I can tell, you guys both share the same charming personality."
"Sarcasm aside, it is my duty to explain the responsibilities of the True Neutral. Are you [[ready]]?"
"Good.
The True Neutral has a choice to make that is not bestowed unto those who go up or down. The choice to try again."
"Try again?" you ask. "You mean I could do it all over again?"
"Yes, but there is [[something]] you must know. I know what I want to [[do]]. You wake up in an unknown area. You look around and see nothing but white as far as the eye can see.In your time in the next life, you will remain truly neutral. You will serve as simply an onlooker, forced to feel nothing and become familiar with no one."
"What if I choose not to?"
"Then... you become us," he answers with a grin, gesturing to his twin through the doorway.
You need to [[think]]I've made my [[choice]]
