You and your dog are searching around in the garden of your new home in the country. You haven't explored the whole garden. It's too big. But lately, all the plants have been dying, so today you're wandering around trying to look for anything that might explain it. [[Search for plants.]]

You kneel down to examine a dead rosebush. Suddenly, your dog runs off! [[Follow the dog.]]

You chase your dog through the garden! You can't see him anywhere. You come to a hedge maze. You had no idea this was here! It looks pretty overgrown. [[Call for dog.]] [[Keep running.]]

You shout your dog's name. Nothing. You see a strange shadowy figure under a tree. [[Go closer to the shadow. |closer]] [[Keep running.]]

You see a tall hedge archway. [[Run through it. |Walk straight ahead.]]

The shadow starts moving. You jump back, terrified. 'Don't go into that maze.' The shadow comes into the light. It's an old man. 'That's the Maze of Doom.' [['But my dog is in there!']] [[Turn around and go home. |home]]

You turn around and go home. You never see your dog, or the old man, ever again. THE END

The old man shakes his head. 'The Maze has your dog now. But I will let you pass, and try to save him, if you can pass my test.' [[Accept his test.]] [[Run in a different direction. |Keep running.]]

The old man nods. 'All right. Here is my riddle. What can you catch, but not throw?' [[On fire.]] [[A cold.]] [[A fish?]]

The old man shakes his head in disappointment. 'You are not smart enough to survive the Maze of Doom. Go home, child.' [[Try again. |Accept his test.]] [[Go home. |home]]

The old man looks surprised, then chuckles. 'That's not quite the answer I was looking for, but you're technically correct. I'm feeling generous. You may pass.' [[Go into the maze.]]

The old man claps his hands twice. Suddenly, in a puff of smoke, you are inside the maze. [[Walk straight ahead.]]

You dash towards the far side of the garden. You see a tall hedge archway. You run into the Maze of Doom. [[Walk straight ahead.]]

You walk through the maze, calling your dog's name occasionally. The branches of the overgrown maze brush against your clothes. You come to three statues: a fairy, a centaur and a gargoyle. [[Approach them.]]

As you carefully approach the statues, they come to life! Each one guards a different passageway of the maze. 'Pick mine!' squeals the fairy on the left. 'There's a treasure beyond!' 'No, pick mine!' yells the centaur in the middle. 'There's someone who needs your help!' 'Pick mine,' growls the gargoyle. 'Or I'll smash you.' [[Go left and find treasure.]] [[Go straight and be a hero.]] [[Gulp. Go right.]]

You turn left. The fairy jumps off the pedestal and beckons you down the path. She giggles, always staying a few steps ahead, out of reach. Something sparkles ahead of you! [[Ooh, shiny.]]

The centaur jumps down from his stone block and gallops along the path ahead of you. 'Wise choice,' he says. 'Your dog still needs help. Now you must choose again, between these two paths.' Ahead of you, you see two signs pointing in different directions. One says, [[this way to get a delicious doughnut.]] The other sign says [[this way to get rich quick.]]

The gargoyle chuckles as you inch past him. You can't wait to be away from him. 'Coward,' you hear him grunt, as you turn the corner. 'Here's what you deserve.' Something rumbles above you. [[Look up.]]

'Look,' cries the fairy. 'You found the treasure!' It's a dazzling crown. [[Reach out to grab it.]]

The floor falls out from under you. You plummet into blackness. THE END

You see a giant hammer, just before it strikes your head. THE END

The centaur leads you down a pathway until you reach a table. On it lies a huge doughnut with melted chocolate dripping down the sides and sprinkles on top. You suddenly feel hungry. You grab it and take a big bite. It's like Christmas in your mouth. You [[cram the doughnut into your mouth.]]

Delicious doughnut? Yeah, right. What an obvious trap. You'd rather take the money. 'Very well,' says the centaur. 'This way.' You climb on his beautiful horse back and he gallops along the pathway. You feel like you might get bucked off so you... [[grab his mane.]] [[stand up and surf on him.]]

You swallow the last bite of the doughnut. Mmm, what a satisfying doughnut. In fact... maybe too satisfying. You're very full. You could just about lie down and fall into a food coma. Yes, that sounds nice. You lie down in the soft grass. It welcomes you like a bed after a long day. 'You fool!' says the centaur. 'You came down the path of the POISONED DONUT!' But you can't really hear him, and you don't really care. You're much... too... sleeeeeepyyyyyy... THE END

The centaur shouts, 'Good idea! You are riding safely!' He slows as you approach a giant, futuristic metal door. You jump off his back, but he holds your shoulder. 'Let me.' The centaur trots to the door and enters in a very long and difficult passcode on the keypad. The door scans his eye, scans his fingerprint and then he neighs into a microphone. The door slowly creaks open. Inside, you see a single, brown, normal sack. You ask the centaur, 'How is this getting rich?' 'Just wait and see,' he replies. You try to pick up the bag, but it is too heavy. [['Looks like a trap. I'm outta here.']] [[Open the sack.]]

You clamber to your feet and surf on the centaur's back. You feel so free! The wind blows through your hair and up your nose. Unfortunately you are not a pro surfer and you fall off the centaur's back. You hit your head on the ground and hear a nasty crack. That was a very dangerous and silly thing to do. THE END.

You let go of the bag and run along the maze pathway. 'Wait!' calls the centaur. 'Don't you want to see what's inside?' You ignore him. You won't fall for a trick like that. You [[keep walking.]]

You walk up ahead eight kilometres until you see... a ghost! 'GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY!' the ghost cries. But you have no money, so now the ghost will give you a punishment. You try to run but the ghost raises his arms. A cage falls down from the wall of the maze, trapping you inside. You shake the bars trying to get out, but the bars are too strong. You call for help, but you can only hear the laughter of the ghost fading away down the path of the maze. THE END.

You open the sack carefully. Inside, something shines in the sack. You open it wider. You see stacks of bars of platinum. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASP! You lift the bars out of the sack one by one. There are twenty bars of gold and platinum! 'Take it if you wish,' says the centaur. 'It's yours.' You wonder how you will lift such a heavy sack, but as you put the bars back in, it feels magically lighter! Whoopee! Lifting it onto your shoulder, you wave goodbye to the centaur and [[set off.]]

You're strolling through the maze when you hear a voice calling out, 'Tools and weapons for sale! Tools and weapons, best quality!' You come across a stall that looks like a miniature caravan. An old lady in a blacksmith's apron is waiting at the front of the caravan. 'Oh, look, a customer! What would you like to buy on this marvelous day?' You look over the merch. You would like... [[a Seedler gun (a gun that fires seeds) for 20 platinum and gold bars|Seedler gun]]. [[an enchanted apple for 10 gold bars|apple]]. [[to buy her caravan. It looks like a cool place to live! |caravan]]

You buy the apple... but you don't think you'll eat it right now. You thank the shopkeeper and continue on your way. Suddenly a large creature jumps out of the bushes! It's a stone warrior with rapid-fire dead seed guns as arms. Oh yeah, and also, it's 100 feet tall. [[Run as fast as you can]] [[Throw the apple at him.]]

[['I'll take the gun!']] [['No I won't.']]

You jump up the steps of the caravan as the old lady leaves. Your own house! Inside a maze! This is great! You jump on the bed. Nicely springy. You open the kitchen cupboard and eat a cookie. Yum! The shopkeeper frowns up at you, with all her possessions in her apron. Then she pulls a matchbox from her pocket. 'You young people are always so rude. You forgot to say please!' She strikes a match and throws it at the caravan. A string hanging from the window catches alight. And then you see that, in your rush to take this poor old shopkeeper's home and work, you have left your bag of gold and platinum outside. 'I've always kept dynamite in the bottom of my caravan,' says the old lady. 'In case of burgulars, you see, dearie.' That's not a string after all. It's a fuse. And it's just about to - <b> KABOOOOOOOM! </b> THE END

'I want a caravan just like yours!' The old lady looks surprised. 'O...kay? It's a lot of money... you might want to be careful with it.' 'Can I have your caravan or not?' With a huff, the old lady sweeps all her products into her blacksmith's apron and waddles out of the caravan. [[Wow, it worked!]]

You have no weapons with you. The stone warrior is twenty times your size. You do the only thing you can think of. You throw the apple at him. The stone warrior pauses. He bends down and picks up the apple in his huge fingers. The apple bursts into a shower of golden dust! Straight away the warrior relaxes. He clears his throat and says in a surprisingly posh voice, 'Why thank you! Now, what would you like to know?' [[Where is my dog?!]] [[Can you be my servant?]] [[How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? |woodchuck]]

You dash out of there like lightning! Then you come to a tunnel in the hedge. [[Walk into the tunnel.]]

The stone warrior turns around and starts shooting you with dead seeds. You get hit and fall unconscious. THE END

the lady peeks out of her window oh its you again. what would you like to by now [[caravan]] [[Seedler gun]]

'Okay then, I think there is nothing else for me to sell you.' The blacksmith old lady shuts the window of her house. [[Leave and forget about her]] [[knock on her window again]]

You walk off and forget about the old lady. Suddenly a large creature jumps out of the bushes! It's an stone warrior with rapid-fire dead seed guns as arms,. Oh yeah, and also, it's 100 feet tall. [[Run as fast as you can]] [[Start punching the warrior's behind.]]

The old lady gives you the Seedler gun. You give an experimental shot. A seed fires out and blasts a little crater in the ground. Buttercups spring out of the ground where the seed landed. They look and smell beautiful. Awesome! You walk through the maze until you come to a tunnel. [[Walk into the tunnel.]] [[Try a different direction.]]

The stone warrior goes tense with rage. 'That... is... a RIDICULOUS QUESTIOOOOON!' [[Run as fast as you can]]

The stone warrior frowns deeply. 'HOW DARE YOU ASK ME TO SERVE A WEAKLING LIKE YOU?????' [[Run as fast as you can]]

The warrior ponders for a bit. 'Ah, young one. I fear your dog is in the emperor's grasp. I believe he is in Cell 28, Floor 7, in the grand palace a few kilometres northeast from here.' [[Wow! Can you lead me to him?]]

The stone warrior lowers his giant Seedler gun arm and says, 'Climb on, my friend.' You climb up his arm and sit on his shoulder. You can see the emperor's palace in the distance! The palace is ten storeys high with obsidian columns, and giant platinum doors at the entrance. It looks like a Chinese temple with a flag on the roof written in a language of symbols that you can't understand. You feel like you're invincible. You scream the rousing war cry... [['Behold our power!']] [['Freedom and glory!']] [['This is for Red!']] [['I'm glad I didn't eat that doughnut!']]

You walk into the tunnel. It's pitch black inside. The walls feel like they are closing in on you. In fact... maybe they <i> are </i> closing in on you. You can feel them brushing your shoulders. It's getting pretty close in here. The walls pinching and crushing you. You can't move. Looks like you're stuck here. THE END

Avoiding the tunnel, you walk on through the maze. Suddenly a large creature jumps out of the bushes! It's a stone warrior with rapid-fire dead seed guns as arms. Oh yeah, and also, it's 100 feet tall. [[Fire your gun]] [[Duck through a gap in the hedge branches|through hedge]]

You dive into a gap between the branches and come out in another path. You shoot the gap behind you and more hedge grows into the space. The stone warrior can't get through. Phew! Over the hedge in the distance, you can see a flag fluttering in the breeze. [[Walk towards the flag.]]

'Fear our might!' the warrior replies. [[To the palace!]]

'Down with the emperor!' the warrior replies. [[To the palace!]]

'Honour and greatness!' the warrior replies. [[To the palace!]]

'Wait, there was a doughnut?' the warrior replies. 'Uh, never mind,' you say. 'Let's go!' [[To the palace!]]

In gigantic leaps, the stone warrior jumps over the walls of the maze. His armour sounds like a landslide. In a flash, you are at the palace! Up close, you can see that it is guarded by freaky-looking ghost men with spears. [['What shall we do?']]

The stone warrior doesn't respond. He just walks up to the palace and kicks the soldiers so hard, they go flying through the giant platinum door. 'You can take it from here, can't you?' says the stone warrior. 'I'm too big to go in there.' He's right - he will never fit in the Emperor's palace. It's all up to you now. [[Go and scout the area.]] [[Dash into the palace!]]

You grab one of the guards' fallen spears and charge into the palace. 'WHERE ARE YOU, EMPEROR? I WANT MY DOG - AND YOUR DEATH!' You hear evil cackling. [[Follow the sound.]]

You turn right and burst through a pair of giant bronze doors. Before you stands a giant silver and gold throne. On it sits a ghoulish man... with a loaded crossbow in his hands. Purple bubbles cover the arrow and pop in the air around it. 'I have you now, you idiot!' he laughs proudly. 'Now you will face my poisoned crossbow!' And he fires one of the arrows! [[Dodge left.]] [[Dodge right.]]

You pull the trigger of your Seedler gun. A seed shoots out and strikes the stone warrior in the chestplate. Green vines wriggle out of his chest. They grow in a snap, wrapping around his arms and legs as tightly as a bite from a vicious animal. The vines squeeze the warrior until he explodes in a puff of dust and falling boulders. [[Climb up the pile of stones.]]

The arrow misses you. You gasp with relief. But then you feel a horrible pain in your stomach. You look down and see a spearhead sticking out of your body. You've been pierced right through like a kebab. Behind you, one of the emperor's most loyal guards laughs in your ear. You fall to the floor. The guard wrenches you upright again and waves you around like a puppet. Your eyes swiftly close. You die. In case that wasn't clear. THE END

You dodge right. The arrow swiftly passes your ear and sticks into the floor. 'Ha HA! You missed!' you cry. The emperor raises his eyebrow at you. The arrow suddenly explodes, releasing a toxic burst of acid and gas. Droplets of acid fly onto your clothes and face. They burn like the stingers of a thousand mutant wasps that can also fire extra stingers at you. You swipe the acid off your face and clothes. But your clothes are burnt clean off and your skin is like a honeycomb. You catch a glimpse of your face in the giant silver columns that hold up the palace room. Your face is a skull. You collapse on the freshly polished floor. The last thing you hear is the ghastly laugh of the emperor. THE END

You creep around the palace, hiding from the guards in the shadows of the garden. You find the back of the palace... but it is heavily guarded. Five of the hideous guards carry crossbows. The others carry bronze swords. But the gardener seems to have left the nearby shed open, and inside you can see a pair of overalls hanging on a hook. [[Bingo.]]

You sneak into the gardener's shed and pull on the overalls. They smell atrocious, like boiled brussels sprouts with mouldy cheese on top. You plod over to the guards. 'G'day lads,' you say in a deep voice. 'I need to see the emperor about his landscaping plans. Did he want roses or buttercups on the western corner?' You hope Red appreciates all you're doing. The guards shrug and step aside, revealing a small wooden door. [[You nod at them and go in.]]

You find yourself in a dark corridor. You find yourself at an intersection. You head towards the right. You can hear a strange crackling voice arguing with someone. 'A random dog ran into my palace three days ago, and he's still yelping in his cell! What are our options?' 'We could always kill him, Your Highness.' 'Great idea, now scuttle along my little gaurd and go kill that dumb dog.' You feel offended and think HOW DARE YOU CALL RED DUMB!!!!!!!!!! [[Follow the guard.]]

You creep behind the guard and follow him as stealthy as a ninja. Then suddenly you see Red in his cell howling like there's no tomorrow. But at the moment he sees you, he stops and starts wagging his tail. The guard turns in a suspicious way. [[Punch him in the face.]] [[Punch him in the privates.]]

The guard gasps in pain and crumples in serious injury. All that is left from him is pinches of coal. You unleash your dog from his cell and he jumps and licks you in the face. Suddenly the Emperor walks in. 'Sorry to disrupt this beautiful family reunion, but now I must kill you!' Suddenly a giant stone fist crashes through the wall and hits the Emperor in the leg and sends him flying through the wall and cartwheeling through the sky! A giant stone head peeks through the hole. [[It's the stone warrior!!!!]]

You punch him in the face. He falls unconscious. You unleash your dog from his cell and he jumps and licks you in the face. Suddenly the Emperor walks in! 'Sorry to disrupt this beautiful family reunion, but now I must kill you!' A giant stone fist crashes through the wall and hits the Emperor in the leg and sends him flying through the wall and cartwheeling through the sky! A giant stone head peeks through the hole. [[It's the stone warrior!!!!]]

'Oh hey, let's get out of here before the gaurds find out what happened!' You climb onto the warrior's fist and hop on his head and so does your dog. The stone warrior sprints to the entry of the maze and then you run out of the maze. The stone warrior gently sets you down at the back door of your house and pats you on the head. 'Well done, young friend.' 'But I never found out what was killing the garden,' you tell him. 'It was the emperor's deadly aura,' says the stone warrior. 'Now that he has been defeated, your plants will be revived.' You bump fists with him. YOU WIN

From the top of the pile of stones, you can see the emperor's palace in the distance! The palace is ten storeys high with obsidian columns, and giant platinum doors at the entrance. It looks like a Chinese temple with a flag on the roof written in a language of symbols that you can't understand. You feel like you're invincible. You pull the stone warrior's breastplate from the top of the pile and position it like a giant toboggan. [[Slide down the pile towards the palace.]]

You sit on the stone warrior's breastplate and slide down the pile. [['This is AMAZING!'|to palace]] [['WHOOOOHOOOOO!'|to palace]]

In a flash, you are at the palace! Up close, you can see that it is guarded by freaky-looking ghost men with spears. [[Go and scout the area. |scout2]] [[Dash into the palace!]]

You punch him in the face. He falls unconscious. You unleash your dog from his cell and he jumps and licks you in the face. Suddenly the Emperor walks in! 'Sorry to disrupt this beautiful family reunion, but now I must kill you - aaargh!' the emperor screams. Red is chewing on the emperor's ghoulish skin, biting his ankle! The emperor collapses in pain. [[Run away with Red!]]

The guard gasps in pain and crumples in serious injury. All that is left from him is pinches of coal. Suddenly the Emperor walks in! 'Sorry to disrupt this beautiful family reunion, but now I must kill you - aaargh!' the emperor screams. Red is chewing on the emperor's ghoulish skin, biting his ankle! The emperor collapses in pain. [[Run away with Red!]]

You did it! You saved Red, and now with your Seedler gun, you can revive the garden! You have escaped the Maze of Doom! YOU WIN!

As you get closer, you see that the flag is atop a grand palace. The palace is ten storeys high with obsidian columns, and giant platinum doors at the entrance. It looks like a Chinese temple and it is guarded by freaky-looking ghost men with spears. [[Go and scout the area. |scout2]] [[Dash into the palace!]]
