Your punch is hard, but it won't go deep through that tough skin. He doesn't stagger like you expect him to, and he grabs the arm you reach with and pulls it back uncomfortably. You're detained - but that's not enough, and he breaks your arm at the forearm. You feel the sharp pain immediately and fall to one knee.\n"You humans don't belong here. You are not meant to survive. You will go, now!" The beast shouts at you.\n[[The beasts force you to leave your things behind and enter your Duster. It is your new living space. The beast keeps a steady hold on you, despite your struggle. He reacts with a hard punch. The impact hits your cheek, just barely missing your nose.\n"You humans should learn your place," says the other beast. \n"Just cooperate with us and your problems will be over," says the first, holding another fist ready.\n[["I'm telling you, I know nothing about her."|Speech 3]]
"And go where?" she says.\n"Home," you say. For the first time, Jackie looks like she did over a decade ago. She looks up at you, close to tears.\n"Where is home?" Sam asks.\n"Can we come?" says Ackerman.\nJackie looks down at them, and then up at you.\n"We can't just leave people here, Jamie. They'll die."\n[[So will you, if you stay here much longer. You grab the can of Lushy Drink again and gulp the rest down. You slam it on the desk. \nThe screen continues, "Investigations were underway minutes after he was shot, however there seems to be no information gathered as of yet as to who shot the Governor."\nYou smack the can to the ground angrily, standing up and walking away. \n"Would you like to hear more?" The screen asks. You turn back, grab the screen, roll it up like a map and chuck it. It unfolds and soars to the door. \nJust then, someone knocks loudly on the door. You check the peephole and see a mass of grey, wrinkly skin. \n"OPEN UP!" A gruff voice says. \n"APD!" shouts another. You unlock the door and immediately, two large, horned beasts walk into the room. They shove you back up against the wall, holding you by your shoulders and grunting at you. They shove a flyer in your face. It shows a mugshot of a woman with dark, short hair. She wears a thick, brown headwrap that covers her left eye. The face is a little familiar, but you can't tell who it is. Below the image is the word "Murderer."\n"Where is this woman?" speaks a beast.\n[[Spit in its face|Violence]]\n[["I don't know what you're talking about."|Speech]]
You turn the craft around. There is nowhere else... but you have enough fuel to reach the next system, if you're lucky. You rev up and begin a steady cruise towards deep space. Staring out at the ever-spinning stars makes you slightly dizzy, but you press forward. \nAfter a few minutes, you hear a\n*tink*\non the outside of the craft, followed by a harsh rumbling. You see some asteroids soar by. You press on, and it stops.\nThirty minutes pass. You feel hungry. You notice a star push in from the left. It grows as you near it and notice a shape protruding from the side of it. You continue to watch and realize it's a planet. It has enormous gashes in it, and molten rock flings into space. \nSome of it heads straight for you. You increase speed - the rocks enter your blind spot, but you're confident that they won't reach you in time - until you scrape along the side of it. Alarms blare at you. Lights flicker everywhere. The craft has become dented, and unable to move in any direction other than... left.\nAs it begins to descend towards the star, the craft rotates, rumbling deafeningly loud. Then, an unbearable heat comes at the ship, increasing in waves. The star is miles away, but has taken over your entire view. The heat melts away layers of your pilot window, and blinding light pierces through your craft. Explosions erupt from the back of the ship as you clutch the steering, pulling with all your strength. Everything is shaking as you plummet into the star.\n"YOU IDIOT!!" you shout, but you can't hear yourself. Your clothes catch fire, and you begin roast alive. Metal burns like paper. The window finally cracks. The vacuum is greedy, but not as much as the heat, which disintegrates all.

They aim at you with a rifle.\n"What are you doing here?"\n"I'm looking for someone."\n"Yeah, likely story. You've got a weapon?"\n"What's it to you?"\n"Drop it. Now."\n"Look, I'm not here to fight anybody. I'm just here to talk."\n"Don't care. Take it off."\nSomeone appears at the other end of the hole in the ceiling.\n"What's going on?" they say, running up. It's a teenaged boy. "Who's this?"\n"I'm looking for my sister," you say.\n"Mr. Untrustworthy is looking for someone here," says the gunman.\n"This isn't about trust," you say.\n"What's her name? Your sister?" says the boy.\n"Jackie," you say.\n"Look, just drop your gun!" the gunman says, aiming at your head.\nYou stand your ground. "Why?"\n"Yeah, why?" says the boy.\nThe gunman shakes his head. "You should know why, Ackerman." He turns to Ackerman, keeping his gun on you. "Don't you know what we're doing here? Knowing you'll show up on the radar, you glide back into the atmosphere amidst a meteor shower. You land and return to your apartment for one item... then the door opens.\n"APD! In your Duster, a loud jet-craft that is speedy, but loud, you orbit Allzoa for the next hour. All around you, you can see some of the chaotic spread. The area is constantly lit up by passing suns, each on their own paths through space. Occasionally, they collide with eachother, or worse, consume entire planets in their way. \nAs you watch, you think more of the woman the beasts were searching for. It's true, you did have a sister at one time - a family, even. But that was another time, on another planet. You assumed they had been killed off a decade ago and continued a solitary life on Allzoa. But now she's alive... and so they could be too.\nYou stand up from the pilot seat and see a line of asteroids soar into the atmosphere, disintegrating completely. You have to act - for yourself, or for your family.\n[[Try to survive in the Great Void alone|Survivalism]]\n[[Try to rescue your long-lost sister from Allzoa|Humanity]]\n
The beast enters the room and looks around. He didn't hear you yet, but he begins searching. You listen from behind the doors with two bullets in your fingers. You slowly try to load the gun, but you won't be able to finish it without making noise. You're out of time; he's approaching the closet.\n[[Load up and attack|Sneak Fight]]
She sighs, "Save me the tears. You're supposed to be the older sibling, remember?"\nShe turns and walks to the doorway. Everyone follows her.\n"So what are you doing here?"\n[["You're wanted by the whole population. I'm here to save you."|Really?]]

She'll be fine without you... After all, she's made her decisions, and this is where she's gotten herself. That's not your problem. She could have been more like you, living poorly... but peacefully. You've gotten by all right by that.....\nYou look around your craft. There are scarce supplies here, so you'll have to make the most of them. "He's right, you know," says a female voice in the doorway. "There are worse problems than having janitorial duty, Ackerman."\nAs she approaches, more light falls on her face and you recognize Jackie. The beast holding the mugshot bellows and charges. It rams into your desk, which splits into pieces. The beast continues its rage around the room, then stops in the center, breathing heavily. You throw clothes his way. He shoots at them, but they still land on his head. The bullet hole hangs on his horn, giving you plenty of time to load up and get the killshot. Time to move on - someone must have heard the commotion.\n[[Grab ammo and leave|Find Jackie]]
You find an entrance on the outskirts of the city. You're sure no one saw you, so the APD isn't a threat for now. It's empty down here, but you're not expecting a warm welcome - you're expecting an ambush.\nYou follow the tracks down a ways to pile of rubble that closes off the tunnel. There's no way to continue - it's too perfect. You examine the walls leading up to the rubble and find a hollow part of the wall. It sounds different when you knock on it - in fact, someone knocks back, with three quick raps. You return them. Then, you sense movement.\nThere, above the rubble, in the destroyed ceiling of the tunnel, stands another human.\nThey deploy a ladder down to a flat piece of rock on the floor. \n[[Climb it|Enter]]

She smiles, "You always had the best sense of humor." \nSam and Ackerman laugh.\nJackie's smile fades. "That Dynestus beast didn't think it was funny." She turns away and heads for the doorway.\n"So why are you here?"\n[[You're wanted all over the planet. I figured you needed help"|Really?]]

"No. This is about humanity. There are dozens of people here. Where would we go, Jamie?" Jackie says.\nYou look at her, at Sam and Ackerman, and around the ruined subway.\n"We could go back to Kael. We could start over again."\n"Kael is nothing, Jamie. It's a wasteland."\n"We have to try," you say. "For humanity."\nJackie hesitates. Then, she nods. She turns and continues down the hallway. You look at the kids, then turn and follow her. She opens the door at the end of the hallway to reveal the underground hideout. Light shines in through a few cracks in the ceiling upon a large, rubble-filled cavern filled with many humans. As Jackie enters, they all look up at her. Some stand.\nShe addresses them, "Members of Humanity, this is our hour!"\nThey return with shouts and applause.
You dive out of the way, and the closet is destroyed. The beast emerges with clothes covered his view. You shoot him dead. He falls back into the closet loudly. With that noise, more will be on their way - it's time to go.\n[[Grab ammo and leave|Find Jackie]]
You bring the engine up to speed. You're on your way to Kael. After a few minutes, you decide to try and bypass the asteroids, going around it. It will take more time, but you have the fuel. \nYou're finally around it when the hunger gets very painful. You have to make it to the planet sooner, or your body will start to diminish. You consume the other drink and press on.\nBy the time you've pierced the atmosphere, disappointment sets in. The planet is deserted of anything but sand. Even water seems to be absent here. You're desperate, though, so you continue. \nYou fly over miles of dunes for at least ten minutes, and then see a settlement. You feel a spark of hope.\nUpon landing, you're greeted with a gun to the side of your head. A man speaks to you in an old, worn-out voice, "You best be turnin' around, now. Ain't a thing worth doin' here, I'll tell ya what."\n"I'm not here to fight. I need food. Water."\n"Like I said, there ain't nothin' here for ya."\n"Please," you say, and you turn to face him. He has a thick, grey beard and round, dusty glasses. His eyes are wrinkled, and he squints in the bright light, but you look him straight in the eye. He lowers the gun and gives you the same shocked look.\n"Jamie?" he says.\n"Uncle," your voice cracks. You tear up, and your eyes are closed, but you feel his embrace around you now. You've made it home.
It still tastes good. Your thirst is quenched. You'll need food soon. You check the glove box for a map. You find nothing but an old drawing of the solar system. There's a planet just past the next ring of asteroids. You recognize your handwriting from over a decade ago...\n\nOil is on your fingers. The parchment that was just bought from the market. Now that that's over with, you're going deep underground - from what you've heard on the news, the assassinations have been in and around this city, meaning whoever is behind them has had a means of transportation that most likely uses the old human subways.
