You're moderately sure you can get to a temple with Miannais in it, but what are you going to do once you get there? You start wading through the many security protocals you have to complete before you can enter Radch space.

You aren't surprised, however, when one of the higher-ups requests your presence personally. Seivarden was bound to attract some attention from Radch officials. You walk into the official's office and see Skaiaat Awer, another familiar face from your infamous past.

She rises and greets you, unaware of your true identity. You exchange a few pleasantries, but it's clear that she doesn't view you as a threat. She is more concerned about Seivarden's integration into modern Radchaii society. You pass through this last threshhold into the [[Station->Station with Gun Both]].
<<addclass "html" "path2">>\
Life in the Station is eventful with Seivarden. You schedule an audience wih Anaander Mianaai, and you expect that you'll meet with her soon. The Lord of the Radch can't ignore an oddity as exotic as Seivarden for long. You are also suspicious that Mianaai may have figured out who you are.
Seivarden proves to be a surprisingly helpful presence. She is much more lucid and much less angry about the loss of her previous life. She is Radchaii, but very different than the Radchaii you have become used to. One of the Radch ship captains talks your ear off about the decline of the empire and the need to return to tradition. Yet, her views seem to differ greatly from Seivarden's an actula part of the lauded tradition. You consider this as you ready yourself to meet Mianaai. The fragments of Miannai were vast, but perhaps didn't encompass all of your choices.
You carry your gun with you always and ready yourself for action. You don't know what will happen when you act, but the moment to [[tip the scales->AM Meet with Gun Both]] has come.
<<addclass "html" "path2">>\
It is the day of reckoning. At noon, you receive a message requesting that your audience with Mianaai be moved to today. You send your assent and wait.
Sure enough, two of Mianaai's personal guard approach you within five minutes. The Lord of the Radch has requested an audience with you. You follow them, adreneline coursing through the veins of your body.
You walk into a room with several of Mianaai's bodies. Their eyes trace over your ancillary body. You lift your chin and smile at them.
One of the fragments smiles back and locks eyes with you. They attempt to invoke a hidden process lying dormant within you. You feel it lurch into life and then fizzle out. Your circuitry had become too different over the years. You draw the Garseddai gun and kill them all. None could be trusted after that takeover attempt. You hear a commotion from outside. You cautiously [[exit->Chase with Gun Both]] the building after shouting a quick explanation at Seivarden.
<<addclass "html" "path2">>\
The Station is in utter chaos. The Lord of the Radch is spouting contradictory orders as each side of her desperately tries to get the upper hand.
You run for the docks. The Mianaai fragment intent on reform shouts an order at you. Another body of Mianaai's shouts another command. None register. They're both trying to escape, to prevent the rest of Miannai from comprehending its crisis of ideology. You don't trust either of them to make the right call. You race the ancillaries to the shuttle bay, but they manage to get in shuttles before you catch up. You and Seivarden commandeer a second shuttle and [[pursue->Oxygen with Gun Both]] her.
<<addclass "html" "path2">>\
You pursue the shuttles into space. They are heading for one of the larger ships docked at the station in an attempt to flee to other parts of Radch space. You can't let that shuttle get any farther.
You consider your options. You know that type of shuttle to be protected by shields and an airlock. You do have the gun, however.
You gun the engines and pull alongside Mianaai's shuttle. You could shoot through you own ship into the fragment's, but that would kill Seivarden from the breach of the vacuum-sealed cockpit. Your luck, so reliable until now, seems to have puttered out.
Seivarden punches your arm. She holds out her hand and gestures towards the gun. She has modified one of the arms that the shuttle uses to move freight inside of it's first airlock. She grabs the gun and rigs it to the robotic limb. She then shuts the airlock and dashes to the controls. Your shock dissipates and you pull alonside the rival ship so the arm is within reach. Seivarden's makeshift turret fires, piercing the ship's hull and sending it cartwheeling into space. The glow of Miannai's engine exploding bathes your faces in a gentle pink light.
"[[Glad]] you took me, huh?"

Mianaai's mind did not fully realize its duality for many years due to your actions. In that time, the faction of Mianaai that you tried to defeat at Station consolidated its power by farming legions of ancillaries and making alliances with some of the oldest and richest Radchaii families. The following civil war was brutal. The other reformers hung on by a thread, quickly devolving into guerilla tactics. Their interference may be the death of the empire. By splitting the Radch's resources, the empire's success in its renewed conquests looks uncertain.

This is a "Media Design Prototype" project for ENGLIT 0512 Narrative and Technology taught by Dr. Kelsey Cameron Fall Semester UPitt 2018.
Derived from //Ancillary Justice// by Ann Leckie.
Many thanks to the class for the enthusiastic and substantive discussion of the course, especially James and Dr. Cameron for critique and playtesting!

<<addclass "html" "pathstart">>\
//Ancillary Justice// is a space opera with a very unique narrator, Breq. Breq is an "ancillary," a human corpse acting as an agent of an artificial intelligence that embodies hundreds of ancillaries and a gigantic battleship. The story takes place over two interweaving timelines: One where Breq is still only one body of the intelligence controlling the ship //Justice of Toren// and the other after Breq's ship and all their other bodies are destroyed.
When they were still a ship, Breq was part of the Radchaii military, an advanced human empire that "civilized" the surrounding galaxies through conquest and annexation. The emperor is Anaander Mianaai, an ancillary themself. A crisis of conscience causes Mianaai to split, some of her bodies favoring brutal methods to stay in power and the others trying to bring about humanitarian reforms. Both are afraid of the Presger, a vast alien empire with powers that rival the Radch.
Fragments of both tamper with //Justice of Toren// and attempt to sway it to both sides, but after one of the Mianaais kills Breq's favorite officer, //Justice of Toren// too splits from its conflicting loyalties. Mianaai destroys the ship, but one body, Breq, escapes with a motivation its singular self doesn't fully understand: kill Anaander Mianaai.
Breq spends a couple decades searching for the Garseddai gun, the only weapon in existence that can pierce Mianaai's armor. They find it, but along the way they find Seivarden. She is a soldier that served under //Justice of Toren// hundreds of years ago. She has only just been awakened from cryo-sleep and finds the Radch empire very different than she left it. She is also a Kef Junkie now. This drug suppresses emotions and leaves the user, sluggish, untroubled, and uncaring.
Breq eventually sneaks onto a space station with ancillaries of Mianaai, pretending to be a foreign visitor from the Genterate, a neighboring galaxy. They meets Skaiaat Awer, an officer that knew Breq when they were still a ship.
Breq eventually meets Anaander Mianaai, and is suspicious of every ancillary supposedly calling themselves the Lord of the Radch. There turns out to be bodies from both sides of Mianaai, and they start fighting in the station. The rest of Miannai outside of the space station does not know for a fact that the opposing side exists. Breq's actions tipped the scales inside the station itself. Both sides of Miannai try to shut down every means of communication or travel from the station to try and prevent the rest of Miannai self from being forced into civil war. Breq defeats every side and takes the choice of whether to release the news onto themself.

You and Seivarden return to the station and prepare for war. You start building your own armies to combat Mianaais'. The empire remains firmly under Anaander Mianaai's control, whoever that is. For many centuries, the Radchaii citizens still knew nothing of the split between their leader's volitions. By the time they knew, it was too late. The two halves working against each other had halted progress for too long. The Presger caught up and then surpassed the Radch. Humanity was consumed in the wake of their fury.
