blood, mirrors, fires, opening your eyes, unanswered questions, light, dark, noise, monsters, breath, change, fear [[begin]] The harsh sunlight [[burns]] your fresh eyes. The wind feels like a warm and damp cloth on your [[skin]]. The smell of the evergreens and the gentle flow of the stream give you a sense of calm. You have never liked the sun. It is too abrasive. Your eyes sting already, as soon as you scrape them open. You want to [[hide]].Your body is different than you remember, but you barely [[remember]] anything anyway. Your flesh is raw and sore. There are scratches everywhere. There are leaves and twigs in your hair. There is dirt underneath your fingernails. You also notice strange superficial markings on your hands and feet. Who did [[this]] to you? Where are you? You need to get away. You need to [[hide]].In a quick attempt to get away, you stand up and look around. You evaluate your surroundings. A [[cave]] is located to the south and a [[stream]] to the north. Everything else, the dense forest, is surrounding you...[[suffocating you]]...do you even remember anything at all?Determination. You need to know what happened to. You cry out, no one hears you but the birds. They only reply to you in timorous chirps. Off in the distance, you see a cave. Everything else is essentially blending together in swirls of green. You decide this is your best bet and so you begin your trek to the [[cave]].You finally reach the cave. As you enter this hollowed out rock, you notice something strange. You see [[blood]] on the wall. Something is written in it, but it is in words that you don't [[understand]]. There are echoes. You walk deeper [[into]] the cave, and think to yourself that this was probably not a good destination after all. It all sounds like white noise to you. As you approach the stream, it soothes you. Is this what stability feels like? You splash your face. The cool water runs down it. You feel okay for a moment. You've never liked the feeling of being trapped, have you? Strangely, some people like that. It can be seen as a comfort. Closure. You don't like this type of closure though. You feel obstructed. You scour. You see nothing but trees. You scream. No one hears you. Can you even hear [[yourself]]?"Who's blood is this?" you ask, not expecting any answer. You don't get any answer.Do you even understand anything at all?As you walk further, it gets darker and darker. The darkness seems to hurt your eyes, just as the sun does. There is no pleasant middleground. You can't go any further? The [[Noise]] is getting louder...This sound is harsh and droning. The [[static]] makes your head spin. You look inside yourself, all you see is a [[fever]]. A fever that cannot, will not, be quelled. No matter how cold you feel on the outside, your insides are always burning. You hear nothing but [[static]].These sounds are making you dizzy. You need to sit down. You can't think clearly. Your head is pounding. Your heart is beating loudly. You close your eyes, and [[immerse]] yourself into dimness. It feels like a restless sleep, maybe this is always how you feel. You can never tell though because you are never in tune with yourself. Half awake. Half dreaming. Always curled up. Breathing so slow, it is almost like you are not breathing at all. Nothing to differentiate what is real and what is not. It all happens so fast. Your mind is hissing at you. All you hear is crackles. It doesn't make sense, does it? Your [[mind]] seems to be separate from [[you]]. You can't tell what is going on. You are scorching on the inside. Why haven't you burned [[alive]] yet?Do you even know who you are?It is getting too warm. You feel like you are wilting. Your skin is so cold to the touch, why doesn't it emulate what is happening inside of you? You think, something is wrong with that. It feels misleading. You feel like a trap. A liar. You're nothing but a [[liar]].When have you ever told the truth anyways? Are you even alive? You're afraid to open your eyes, but you open them because you have [[no other choice]]Nothing surrounds you at this point. You are disoriented and you see nothing but darkness. Suddenly, you hear a loud crashing sound. Its [[abruptness]] disturbs you.You follow the sound of the crash, it happens repeatedly. Is something luring you in? You walk through the hollow and humid chambers of the cave. You enter a "room". (it isn't really a room, but you call it that anyway). There is a flickering candle on the floor. There are scattered parcels. There are piles of bones. There is a pile of dirt. There is more blood. There are [[mirrors]]. But when will there [[stop being blood?]] Someday. Eventually. You can feel the blood rushing through your veins. A strange sensation? It washes you away, you become lost in [[you]]rselfOn top of the mirrors are black cloths. You pull them off [[one by one]].As you tear the first black cloth away, you anticipate seeing your reflection. You don't [[remember]] what you look like. It turns out, you see nothing in the mirror. No reflection. Well, there is a reflection, but there is no you. Only your surroundings. You move on to the [[second mirror]]. As you pull away the cloth from this mirror, you don't know what to expect. You see a monster. Large and tall. Brooding and bearing teeth. This frightens you, tears well up in your eyes. You cover this mirror back up and move on to the [[next]].This is the final mirror. Tear the cloth away. See nothing. There is nothing in this mirror No reflection whatsoever. No monster. You suppose that is alright. What was that [[creature]] anyway? This thought keeps repeating in your head.Surely what you saw couldn't be [[you]]. You don't [[understand]]. maybe it was you after all[[???]]It couldn't be you. If ANYTHING, it was the fever inside of you. What is it? You need [[fresh air]], it is getting [[hard to breathe]].You somehow navigate through the cave. It takes a while, but you follow a faint source of light, the sun. ((You make it)) You are back at where you started, the mouth of the cave. You're glad you are out of that nightmare scene. It feels good to [[breathe]]? Usually it never feels good to breathe... Suffocation. You rub your eyes as they adjust to the change in lighting. You never like this type of change, or any change really. It cuts you like a knife. You have to [[adjust]], there is no other way. Oh, you're [[awake]]...finallyYou emerge from the cave, it feels like you've been in a dream and you are just now waking up. One of those long dreams, that captivate you and pull you in. When you wake up, you're just left with an empty feeling. It was something important, you just don't know why. Either way, you are still wondering who [[you]] are. [[Where you are]]. The forest is suffocating you again. Why are you always suffocating, on fire, or bleeding? ((You should really get that checked out...)) You look up but can barely see the sky as the sun is setting, because the canopy is so thick. It hangs above you. It feels like a weight, pushing you down. [[Keeping you down]]. Why does it keep you down after all. You don't have an [[answer]]. You see the stream again, a sense of calm rushes over you. As you keep walking, it leaves as quickly as it came. How unfortunate for you. You walk further, directionless, into the forest. You hear the animals rustling in the bushes and trees. You hear scattering sounds. It is a little unsettling, because everything seems to scare you a little bit. You try to laugh at your fear but it's difficult. You walk and walk and walk. Are you even getting [[anywhere?]] You NEVER have any answers.Suddenly, [[after what seems like hours of wandering]], you hear a shattering [[sound]].(it has probably only been minutes.) (your sense of time is not the best)The sound isn't too far from you but you lose your train of thought because a mouse walks right up in front of you. It scuttles forward. [[You follow it.]] Where is it taking you? Is it taking you anywhere... It seems like this mouse is taking you somewhere? How strange does that sound? It stops walking, and runs back into the brush. You look in [[front of you]].A path of broken glass is in front of you. Then you see a mirror attached to a tree, black cloth covering and all. [[Not this again]].You pull the cloth off, afraid of what you know you will [[see]].In the mirror, you see that creature. That beast. It seems angry. [[Why are you ignoring it]]?Is this the creature that put you here? Who has been tormenting you? You have no recollection of anything prior to today. What if this happens everyday. What if you are trapped in this nightmare. The beast created [[this nightmare]].You slam your fists against the mirror. Shards fall on the ground. Shards break into your palms. You feel the anger inside. You feel what is inside of you (maybe [[you are inside of it]]?). You see the beasts reflection in the fragments of glass that remain, scattered around you. It is relentless. You feel splinters inside of your stomach. An unearthly growl is beginning to burn within the pits of your insides. You need to calm down. [[You can't calm down.]]You try the best that you can to contain yourself. All you can do is close your eyes. The fire still burning your insides. Are you even [[awake]] ? I think you are sleeping. You see the backs of your eyelids.
