Are you sure you want to turn on the light? [[Yes->Yes]] [[No->Look around the room]]

You don't recognise the phone number. The message reads: "Minutes until death: 16.5" [[Turn on the light->Turn on the light]] [[Call the police->Call the police]]

You return your phone to your bedside table. [[Look around the room->Look around the room]] [[Get out of bed->Get out of bed]]

You turn on the light. A strange figure stares at you from the shadows. [[...->Death by light]]

We regret to inform you that you have died due to your own stupidity. ''We warned you not to turn on the light'' [[Return to beginning->Beginning]]

If you're going to get out of bed, you should probably do something about the room's light level. [[Turn on the light->Turn on the light]] [[Don't turn on the light->Don't turn on the light]]

You dial the emergency services number with shaking fingers. It doesn't work.The phone lines seem to be down. Looks like you're all alone... [[...->New message!]]

Okay. Your choice. It //is// pretty hard to see in here, though. [[Walk towards the door->Walk towards the door]]

As you cannot see, you don't know where the door handle is. [[...->No door handle]]

You run your hands over the place where the door handle //should// be. [[...->No door]]

You suddenly realise. There is no door handle. [[...->Death is imminent]]

There is no door. [[...->Death by door]]

As there is no door, and the walls of your room are thick, there is no one to hear your screams. Stupid idiot. Your death is your own fault. ''We told you to turn on the light'' [[Return to beginning->Beginning]]

You check your messages again. You have (1) new message. [[Read message->Amber alert]] [[Don't->Whoops]]

The message reads: "Minutes until death: 15" [[Panic->Panic]] [[Reply to message->Reply to message]]

You look up from your phone. An intense pain sears through your whole body. [[...->Death by no phone]]

[[You panic->Death by panic]]

[["Who is this?"->Who is this]] [["15 minutes? What do you mean"->15 mins what]]

You've died. Good for you. Because you didn't make the choice that would continue the story, the narrator (me) has decided to end the story here. But you do have another chance. WHo knows? Maybe you'll be less stupid this time. [[Return to beginning->Beginning]]

That probably wasn't the best option. Congradulations, you've died! [[Return to beginning->Beginning]]

You've died! yaaaaaay You're terrible at this game. I suppose you should try again, or something. [[Return to beginning->Beginning]]

You turn off your phone and sit it back on your bedside table. [[Get up and look around->get up and look around]] [[Panic.->Panic]]

You get out of bed, stepping onto the cool floorboards. [[Open the curtains->Open the curtains]] [[Walk towards the door->Walk towards the door]]

You open the curtains. The room is bathed in light. Something in the shadows seems to retreat. [[Go over to the thing in the shadows->Shadows]] [[Go downstairs to the kitchen->Go downstairs to kitchen]]

Seriously? You're sleeping? At a time like this? [[Yup.->yes sleep]] [[Actually, I might get up and look around->get up and look around]]

Well, that was a terrible idea. You died. Reeeeal smart move there. [[Wanna try again?->Beginning]]

You walk over to the corner of your room, where the light //just// doesn't reach. A shape can be seen moving in the darkness. [[Inspect shape->Inspect shape]] [[Go downstairs to the kitchen, and leave the shape alone->Go downstairs to kitchen]]

You open your door that definately exists and walk downstairs. But wait! You forgot your phone! [[Get phone from room->Get phone from room]] [[Don't. You probably won't need it.->Don't get phone from room]]

Well, //that// was a mistake. You died. [[Try again?->Beginning]]

You walk back into your room, pick up your phone, and walk back downstairs. [[You have (1) new message.->You have a new message]]

Are you sure that's a good idea? [[Yes.->Death by no phone]] [[No?->Smart choice get phone]]

"10 minutes and counting" [[Panic->Panic]] [[Turn off phone and make some breakfast.->Make breakfast]]

[[Make eggs->Eggs are not a good idea]] [[Make toast->Toast seems like a safe option]] [[Make cereal->Boring, but probably not poisoned]] [[Make nothing->Make nothing]]

Smart choice. [[Get phone from room->Get phone from room]]

You're allergic to eggs, idiot! [[Try again->Make breakfast]]

Seems like a safe option... You may [[proceed->Proceed with toast]].

Boring, but //probably// not poisoned. Let's [[continue->Continue with cereal]]

What? You literally //just// decided to [[make breakfast->Make breakfast]]! Don't be stupid.

You sit down and eat your toast. Good thing you didn't get cereal, you've heard it can be a real //killer// (ba dum tish). [[Check your phone->8 minutes]] [[Stare aimlessly into space whilst contemplating life.->Existential crisis]]

You sit down at the table and [[eat your cereal.->Death by cereal]]

Suddenly, [[you feel sick.->cereal killer]]

You die. The cereal must have been a cereal killer! (ba dum tish) I'm funny, I promise. [[Try again?->Beginning]]

You check your phone. You have (1) new message. [[Read message->Read message 8 mins]]

You contemplate the [[meaning of life.->42]]

Duh. //Everyone// knows that the answer to life, the universe and everything is 42. [[You are amazed by this newfound revelation->wow 42]]

Still, I can't really continue the story from here, soooooooo you'll have to [[start again->Beginning]]. Sorry.

"6 minutes and counting" [[PANIC->Panic]] [[Arm yourself->Arm yourself]]

You walk over to your kitchen bench, and choose something to arm yourself with. Your options are: [[An arm->armed with an arm]] (ha ha) [[A somewhat blunt knife->armed with knife]] [[A gun->armed with a gun]] [[Your incredible wit->armed with wit]]

You pick up the human arm from the bench. You think "Why is this even here in my house? How did it get here?" Well, you //would// have thought that if the arm hadn't strangled you to death as soon as you picke it up. Nice going, kid. [[Try again?->Beginning]]

You pick up the knife. What now? [[Play the game where you stab the knife in between your fingers at a fast pace and try not to injure yourself->stupid kiddo u ded]] [[Sit back down at the table and contamplate existance->Existential crisis]] [[Check your phone->have knife check phone]]

You pick up the gun, but realise it's pointless. "Guns don't kill people," you remember, "people kill guns and we're all miraculously immune to bullets!" Satisfied with this knowledge, you decide to [[test out the gun->test gun]] by shooting it at yourself.

Unfortunately, your wit is so sharp that it impales you. rip [[Retry->Beginning]]

Idiot. Of //course// guns kill people. U ded. [[Swiggity swen try again->Beginning]]

You cut off all of your fingers and bleed to death. Idiot. [[Try it again, but with less dying this time->Beginning]]

You have (1) new message. [[Read message->ono 2 minutes]]

"2 minutes and counting." [[PaNiC pAnIc PaNiC->Panic]] [[Be prepared->prepare self]]

You stand on the table, spinning in a slow circle to try and cover every entrance to the room. [[An agonising minute passes->1 minute left]]

You get another message and scramble for your phone. "1 minute and counting." [[Just f***ing panic->Panic]] [[Continue to stand on table->keep standing]]

You stand on the table, still spinning slowly. You get a message. [[Read message->times up]]

"Time's up" [[PANIC PANIC PANIC JUST PANIC AT THE EVERYWHERE->Panic]] [[Check that the door is locked->rip you]]

You have (1) new message. [[Read message->uh oh u ded]]

"WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I NEED A DOOR TO GET IN?" [[...-> u very ded]]

You look around. You can't see anything, or anyone. You seem to be the only person in your house. [[...->ripp u]]

Suddenly, you are overwhelmed by darkness You can't see anything [[...->end of game!]]

And in the darkness, words appear [[...->Final message]]
