You lay there trying to remember. But the thoughts slowly fades away. Slowly opening your eyes to the darkness. You get up from the moist earth, "Where am I?". The sound echo in the darkness. You felt something in your pocket. Searching your pocket you found your phone. You try turning the phone on, however it was unresponsive. You tried again this time it turned on. You then proceed to walk aimlessly in the [[darkness|moveForward]]. \n\n<<if $code eq "starburst">>Process Narative-In the beginning I wanted to base this game on the element of horror. I did't know why but maybe it was because I played Amnesia the night before. In the end I scrap this idea because I couldn't think of any way to incorpate this in the game. But this did lead to another idea. Which was the analogy of darkness and writing. Usually when I'm writing on several occusions I would get lost, or go off topic, and sometimes get stuck. This is similar to being in the dark. You can't see anything. You are lost and you don't know where your going. I started the dream with "drip...drip" as an analogy of Joe tapping on your head. Trying to get you to type or brainstorm ideas.<<endif>>

However after I saw the comments on the second draft I became motivated to create one. This was the result. I decide to do a maze. The character in the game sees the map with the light from the phone.To make this more like a game I decide to limit the amount of time the player can pull up the map. But this didn't work out because the variable I used to count the number of times the player visited the page didn't increase each time the player visited the page. So to work around this I decided to make the map display random. There is an 80% chance of the map appearing each time the player clicks on it. <<endif>>

The gate lead to a room. In the room was a desk with a candle as a source of light that engulf the room. On the desk there was a piece of paper. You decide to read it.\n "In the begin I was lost. I wondered were I was. In this darkness I couldn't see my hands or feet. However, I continue to move forward.I hit several walls, but I never gave up. Through my journey I encountered strange pillars. Approaching these pillars I heared voices. I thought I was crazy, hearing voices in my head. These voice would ask me questions pertaining to ethos, pathos, and logos. At first I ignored these voice. Later I found out these question are essential to finding my way out of this darkness. On several occasions I went to there pillars and tried answering the question. I couldn't understand ethos, pathos, or logos. I was stuck. Not giving up I wandered in the dark repeatly I ask myself "What is ethos, pathos, and logos?". After some time I arrive at the conclusion that ethos, pathos, and logos are methods use to appeal to people. I realize the potential meaning of this and decided to continue to develop a deeper understanding of pathos, ethos, and logos. Lucky for the greeks had gods for everything. I used the god of pity because I relate pity to pathos This pillar is different from the rest because of several reasons. One is that I'm not visually familar with this god. Another reason I decide to put a television is because it fits the rhetorical piece I had in mind for pathos. Which is a video so I require a televison to be in the pillar. Which kinda of throws off the environment and mood of the game. <<endif>>

I wanted to have "Go north" centered on first line. On second line "Go west" and "Go east" with a blank space in between. Finally on the third "Go south" would be center. However I couldn't accomplish because I didn't know how to add several space nor how to center specific text. Another thing I wanted to add in the user interface were a life bar and phone usage. But due the fact I couldn't get count to work proper I dismissed the idea and worked with what I had. Because my initial idea on how damage was taken was basically if the player purposely hit the wall. Using books would make more sense because the character would most likely be hiting his head against the wall. Which may after some time led to brain damge or drop in IQ. If books would be a representive of knowlege then the book count dropping would symbolize brain damage or decrease in IQ.\n\n<<endif>>

There are two reason why I named this pillar after Zeus. The first is that its Greek, similar to how ethos is a Greek word. The second reason I used Zeus is because Zeus is the ruler of Gods in greek mythology. So he holds the highest power and authority over the rest of the gods.
