The Cuban Missile Crisis was a 13 day scare starting on October 16th of 1962.
It began when the Soviet Union partnered with the communist leader of Cuba, Fidel Castro, and started supplying the island with resources for the construction of missiles as well as military personnel.
This all happened without John F. Kennedy’s knowledge, until he found out with the help of the already occurring surveillance of the island.
You will be assuming the role of John F. Kennedy, president of the United States during this crisis.
<img src="http://www.angelfire.com/moon2/xpascal/MoonHoax/JFK/CongressSpeech.GIF">
The choices you make will be actual choices that John F. Kennedy had to make, and the decisions you decide to go through with will determine the fate of the United States as well as the fate of the world.
Good luck, Mr. President.

As you read on, you find out that 42,000 Soviet soldiers were in Cuba and they slayed the American soldiers sent in by Johnson.
Things have gone horribly wrong for him and he knows it. As a last ditch effort to save his career, you read that Johnson orders a missile strike on Cuba.

We can't expect him to agree easily. We're putting his leadership at stake. He has to choose between his career and nuclear war, which is an extremely tough decision."

“I believe that any form of military action is irrational. A course of action where we strike without warning is like Pearl Harbor.
It’s the kind of conduct that one might expect from the Soviet Union. It is not the conduct that one expects from the United States.” - Under Secretary of State, George Ball.

An attack against Cuba could also lead in the fall of Berlin.”
