You alight in a grove. You fold your wings, and gain an idea of your surroundings. The petite crown rests lightly on your brow. A small furry animal scuttles out infront of you.
[[Commune.]]
[[Explore.]]You tuck your dainty legs underneath you and let the small animal come to you. You feel the energy the small animal has.
Your hand reaches out.
[[Share.]]
[[Take.]]You walk around the clearing, and feel the power of this new world hum. The life here is astounding. Back home... No, you shake your head. You don't wish to think back.
[[Forget.]]
[[Fly.]]
[[Greed.]]A small spark flies between your fingers. The animal is cautious but steps forward. You pet its head, and its power trickes forth, and yours gives back. You say to yourself this world is so full of life.
[[Take.]]
[[Fly.]]The small animal wimpers, now afraid. It tries to back up, but something powerful and greedy rises within you. The animal was consumed.
[[Guilt.]]
[[Greed.]]You feel bad. You must respect this world. You are just a visitor, on a journey to save your world.
[[Give back.]]
[[Soar.]]You look around you with hungry eyes. Things like this don't exist in your old world. You raise your hands. The grass withers. You spread your wings, their dainty membranes start to gain substance. Your body collects life, and your fragility is replaced with strength. The clearing is devastated.
[[Soar.]]
[[Guilt.]]Your fragile wings flutter in the breeze. You need to find help, but you don't wish to steal from the animals. Your feet lift off the ground, and you take to the sky.
[[Control.]]
[[Let Go.]]This new world has promise. You walk around for a while. The power surrounds you. You see the small animal again. It comes closer this time, and you reach out for it. The animals power reaches out for you.
[[Share.]]
[[Take.]]The power you took is returned, and you feel you body return to its fragility. You say to yourself you must find something to help.
[[Fly.]]Leaving behind the pain you caused, you continue on your mission. No turning back now. The power glints in your eye as you soar through the skies.
[[Seek.]]
[[Glide.]]You yearn to find something. Hours pass, but you stay sharp. The weakness grows. You finally see a village, and barely touch down on the ground. Lying flat, you can feel yourself fading.
[[Remember.]]
[[Wander.]]You let the winds of this world carry you. Your mind drifted, and your light wings were gently carried on the currents. A gentle but massive power guided you. Your world used to have a Mother, but she went silent early in your childhood.
[[Land.]]
[[Keep Flying.]]You know what you are here for. You keep it close to your heart. You whisper ever so slightly. Help... You need to save your world from destruction. A villager comes over.
[[Joy.]]
[[Need.]]Your mind slips, and your consiousness cascades into the breach. You barely notice your body being moved by calloused, but loving hands. You wake up in the farmer's cottage. He set food next to you, not knowing what you eat. You are able to reach out and touch the food. It fades, and you gain solidity. He tells you after a while, his hand passed through you, and he couldn't help anymore. Now you are almost materialized fully. You can feel his power near you.
[[Need.]]
[[Gratitude.]]He hands you what he has. Its a meek ration, but you absorb it by reaching out your power. You feel your body come back under your control.
[[Gratitude.]]
[[Focus.]]You can't take it anymore! You wrench the power from him. He is hollowed out. You don't know if he is ok, but you feel so powerful. You stand up, your back straight, and your wings stronger than ever.
[[Soar.]]You stand up, and lightly touch your hand on his shoulder. You share power with him. He bubbles forth happiness. All the creatures here are so nice. You wouldn't remember, but from the stories, your world used to be like this.
[[Focus.]]You tell him about your mission. Your world is dying. The enemies of the Nylph have been rampaging. Many good cities have fallen. The anti-race, the Deith, are uncontrollable. The Dark ones suck the life out of the world, and don't relinquish the power. Nylph give back to Mother nature, and are greater than the sum than its parts. This Synergy used to make a balance. But the scales have tipped the other way, and the world is in chaos. The Dark advancement is impossible to stop, so reaching out for help was the only way.
[[Beseech.]]
[[Implore.]]You scour the lands, in search for more power. This is the way you will save your people, liberate them, from the Deith. The dark ones that opress your home world will be crushed. You sense a looming power getting closer. You land with such force you crack the stone beneath you. You stand up and fold your wings. The massive cave before you is dark, but you can see glowing crystals. Your power reaches out, seeking for sustenance.
[[Grab.]]
[[Go Deeper.]]You get right to the point. Please, help. You cup your hands to your face, and your light hair drifts in the breeze. His heart melts, and he tries to do what he can. He gets 2 of his horses, and promises they will be swift enough. He leads you to the capita. The journey was not easy. You are astounded that the creatures here are so trusting. In your world, the trust has leaked out, as the people suffer.
[[Enter Alone.]]
[[Enter Together.]]You ask him what he knows. He tries to explain their world, but it is complicated. You don't know the customs, but you ask if there is a way humans could help you. He doesn't seem to sure, but he thinks of something. He gives what food he can, and you grow stronger. He sets you off with directions, to fly west, where the sun will set. After a long flight, you see the city he tried to explain to you.
[[Enter.]]You thank him for all he has done. You wish not to burden such a generous creature. He gives you some human currency before leaving. He gives you some wisdom to be careful at night. Tentatively, he leaves with a glance back. His concern for a creature he just met touches your heart. A flirting idea that your people could reside here crosses your mind. You shake it off, knowing that your people weild the ability to leech this world dry. That's what happens when a Nylph gets greedy. They don't give back, and become a Deith. Moving here would just cause trouble; you must find another way. You step inside the city, and are immediately overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the crowds. You tuck in your wings, and try to act natural. You have forgotten about your crown, and people give you strange looks.
[[Ignore.]]
[[Self-Conscious.]]You see the crowd, and are terrified. You ask him if he would accompany you into the city. He looks at you, and decides that it would be best if you were to have human help. You step inside the city, and are immediately overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the crowds. You tuck in your wings, and try to act natural. You have forgotten about your crown, and people give you strange looks.
[[Ignore.]]
[[Self-Conscious.]]You knew you would stand out. Best to make your way along, for your saftey and that of your people. You see a small child in an alley.
[[Watch.]]
[[Ask.]]You take it off, and hide it in a satchel the farmer gave you. You stride forth, but have no idea where you are going or are supposed to be. You see a small child in an alley.
[[Confront.]]
[[Watch.]]You ask the child what is she doing. She said she is playing, and runs off. You watch her for awhile, your vision able to follow her until she makes a corner. You think to yourself how quaint.
[[Continue.]]You watch the child, and see that it must not have parents. You remember the farmer having a daughter, and wonder what happened to this child. She moves into the crowd, and you continue to watch. She walks up behind an adult, and takes something from their pocket. She continues on, and takes a small fruit from a vendor. You are puzzeled, because the farmer said that to get anything, you must use the currency. Your world had the same thing, so you don't know why the child doesn't have money.
[[Call.]]
[[Continue.]]You go up to the child, and ask her what she is doing. She says come closer. You comply, and she asks you to bend down to hear her. She says she is just playing around, and pats your head. You straighten your back again, slightly confused. When you turn to leave, you hear her run off. How strange. What's more strange is you do not have your crown anymore. You call to the child, and she hears you. She goes up to you, and notices the crown on your head. Are you a princess, she asks. She doesn't let you reply and says she is a princess. You ask her if she has money, and she says no, she never had any money. This makes sense to you, but you ask about the people that she took from. She claims she was borrowing, and you understand now. You wish her good luck for the day, and she gives you a toothy smile. You keep going up, where buildings get taller and houses get closer. The scene keeps geting more and more packed until the smell is unbearable. How these creatures live, you think, is very strage indeed. You let the winds carry you. After a while, the lust for power dies down. The peacefulness muffles the yearning. You finally calm down enough to notice this nature has a Mother. Your world used to have a Mother, but your people lost touch of it a few decades ago.
[[Brush It Off.]]
[[Let It Guide.]]You yank the power, leeching it for all its worth. The light instantly dies, and you are left in a pitch black cave.Double-click this passage to edit it.The guiding force sets you down near a burbling stream. The water is crystal clear and fresh snowmelt. You dip your dainty feet in the water, and giggle as fish swim around.
[[Look Around.]]
[[Splash Around.]]Your wings and body grow lighter. Your hair fades, almost to the point of invisibility. The weakness grows. You finally see a village, and barely touch down on the ground. Lying flat, you can feel yourself fading.
[[Remember.]]
[[Wander.]]You see a small abandoned cottage. You say goodbye to the fishes and then you set off to explore. The old, shabby door creaks open, tilting at an impossible angle on its hinges. You are comforted by the skitters of small animals. You greet them and take a look inside. This hut has been reclaimed by the nature here. You drag your hand through the vines dangling through the window. It's nice inside, and floating dustmotes are visible in the sunlight straming in through gaps in the wood. You wish you could stay in this world forever.
[[Directive.]]
[[Contentment.]]Your tinkering laugh reverberates off the canopy of the tall trees around you. The Force from the Mother is shared with you. Your people haven't communed with their world's Mother in decades. This power is new and fresh, untapped. You make sure to remember to give back after your quest is done. You finally are able to materialize to your full form. You lie in the creek, still giddy with happiness. Your long fair hair flows with the gentle stream, and it swirls around your body. You furrow your brow with a wave of sadness. You remember why your here, and force yourself to say goodbye. You have to continue the mission. You sit down in the dusty, ancient building. The serene ambience fills you up with happiness. The Force from the Mother is shared with you. [[Go Deeper.]]You feel bad for taking from this world. You let the Mother guide you. She is forgiving. Her wind carries you like a stray leaf. This world is so strong, you begin to realize. You shutter to imagine what would happen if you kept ignoring it. Your people made that mistake once. The Dieth are ravanging the planet because of your anscestors. Your people lost their tradition, lost their empathy, and turned Dark. They now hunt and take and steal, and fewer and fewer Nylph commune. The world is dying from this imbalance.
