Wallace Tobey has always been a strong contact. Despite the questionable decisions of expedition to locations of inherent danger, there is an unusually high rate of validity to his claims.\n\n"I happened upon word of this location quite recently! A recent hiking expedition towards Qaqortukuluup Qaqqaa left note of a system of caves located within the range. \n\nThey were scant on the interior details, but generous enough to supply the rough coordinates. Keep your eyes open now, the slightest markings may begin to give it away. \n\nWe may not be the first to step inside, but we will be the first to find [[what is hidden beneath|Tab1]]!"\n\n\n\n
"Please, my friend. Come with me. There will be other discoveries. There is no need to lose one's cool over something such as this!"\n\n'Other discoveries'? Wallace must have taken it from you. He must have it, hoarding it to himself. For all you've given him, how dare he take this from you? He would never understand the meaning behind its majesty. It must be rescued.\n\nThen again, perhaps there truly was nothing. The knowledge that something as exquisite, as expounding as this is worth the continuing pursuit, the next spelunking searches into frozen caverns. \n\nYou understand the irreversible gravity of each conclusion, but must come to one final decision.\n\n[[Leave|EndingLeave]] or [[stay|EndingStay]]?
"Here it is! Finally, we have arrived."\n\nWallace's words bring you back to reality. \n\n"Yes, right where they stated it would be, //wonderful!// Come now, I can hardly contain my excitement!"\n\nThe impressive cave entrance yawns its gaping maw before you. Finally, you've spent enough listening to Wallace's excited ramblings. It is time to [[go to work.|Cave2]]
This place is not what it has made to be, whether that be from the thinner air or the strange pressure coming from the subterranean environments. \n\n"Let's go, Wallace."\n\nYour loyal friend helps you up, asking less questions and understanding that a rare moment of silence may be prudent for the trek back. \n\nAs you leave the cave, a fresh burst of oxygen fills your lungs, clearing the strange miasma that clouded your mind in the hours previous. The journey back to camp is not a short one, but you are assured that there will be plenty to occupy the space between here and there.\n\nAfter all, you're not alone.
You scramble forward, looking for remnants of the spherical object. Your efforts grow frantic, laboring over each corner, fingers groping at the walls of the caverns for sign.\n\nYou breathing turns to a p[[ant|Conversation]]. Your heart races, the drumming tempo of its pounding beat becoming the only noise that rivals Wallace's probing questions. You have no time to focus on that, you must find where it went.\n\nThere is nothing left here. No legendary find. No wonderful ecstasy. There is only you and [[Wallace|Decision]].

You find yourself stumbling into a new area. While the other passages are distinctly natural, this seems to be carved with a surgical precision. \n\nThe walls are not jagged, but unfathomably smooth to the touch. Rather than struggling to find balance on the hard floor, the contours mold to the soles of your feet. Most importantly, there seems to be a distinct silence to this room, not simply due to the lack of sound but for a seeming [[el|Humanity]]imination of sound that enters.\n\nHowever, you are most certainly [[not alone|Sphere]].\n\n
"Getting closer. Only a little more now!"\n\nBelief drives Wallace into these expeditions. Adventures are seemingly the crux of his existence. Constantly driving himself forward. Know[[i|Know]]ng that there is [[something else|Cave]] to discover.

Knowing - A Psychological Horror Game

Don't you want to be happy?\n\nAll that time searching for the origins of humanity, the earliest markings of civilizations and intelligence, you have finally found the truth.\n\nYou know now that existing in that form is meaningless. \n\nHappiness comes from nothing.\n\nBe nothing.\n\n//Be nothing.//\n\nN o t h i n g will make you h a p p [[y|Decision]].
\n

Brandishing a flashlight, you take the lead. \n\nThe cave extends deeply into the mountain range, but luckily on a relatively straight path. As you walk forward, Wallace's voice begins to bounce chatteringly from each wall in an attempt to fill the silence.\n\nHis words echo from the walls and into your mind in what you assume to be Wallace's coping mechanism of reflecting a state of activity and life in an otherwise empty area.\n\n"Ah, we've reached a crossroads!" Wallace states, incorrectly identifying a fork in the tunnel.\n\n"I believe we can split here to cover ground. After all, time is of a premium. You usually have a nose for direction, would you like to go [[left|Left]] or [[right|Right]]?"\n\n
It is difficult to gauge the time and distance of your movement as you find a particularly comforting flow of the search. \n\nYour flashlight uncovers the darkened crevices and corners of the cave as you meticulously probe your way through the ever deepening tunnels. \n\nSuddenly, a shimmer. If you were anyone else, you would surely have missed it, but a single sparking shine reflects unnaturally from one of the smoother rock faces. Perhaps if you are to [[push onto it...|Discovery]]
You shine your light down the left tunnel to gain a greater sense of the area. Wallace accepts this as your answer.\n\n"Ah! //I see what you have done there!// After all, you cannot always "be right", yes?"\n\nWallace continues, guffawing heartily at the joke you had not made. \n\n"I will contact you on the high-frequency radio should I find anything. I hope you'll do the same."\n\nWallace moves off on the left path, finally leaving you with enough silence to fully concentrate. While endearing at times, his efforts of relentlessly spu[[rr|Cease]]ing enthusiasm become grating quickly.\n\nNevertheless, there is work to be done. You continue onward, [[deeper into the cave|Cave3]]
You shine your light down the right tunnel to gain a greater sense of the area. Wallace accepts this as your answer.\n\n"Ah! //I see what you have done there!// Going in the 'Right' direction, hmm?" \n\nWallace continues, guffawing heartily at the joke you had not made. \n\n"I will contact you on the high-frequency radio should I find anything. I hope you'll do the same!"\n\nWallace moves off on the left path, finally leaving you with enough silence to fully concentrate. "Yes, my friend. This way, //this way//! We are so close now."\n\nYou can barely hear the shouted words over the belligerent chattering of your jaw against the fabric of your balaclava.\n\nYour dual-specialties in archaeology and anthropology have done much to prepare you for the eventual find, but little to prepare for the journey. \n\nNow seems as good a time as any to remind yourself [[why you've come this far|Wallace]].
Your eyes lock onto the indescribably beautiful simplicity of the spherical object. Its radiant glow finding dazzling sources of light that beam, creating a showing of the most wonderful aurora.\n\nYou are no longer concerned with the room or the discovery, and you cannot begin to form thoughts of when or how as you stand paralyzed, gazing into the serene pulchritude of the object.\n\nThere is beauty within the tranquility of the room itself, creating this safe area where nothing can be disturbed, a final bastion of solitude buried deep within the Earth.\n\nIn this moment, there is no//krrsshtt//thing that begins to riv//krrssssshhhtt//al the experience of elation that is moving throughout you.\n\n[[And suddenly, it is stopped.|Wallace2]]

"Ah! My friend, I nearly //lost you!// I had been radioing for hours, I was worried that you were in trouble. By the grace of God I found you here."\n\nYou attempt to bring yourself upright from your crouching position, but your legs seemingly buckle under the weight of your own body. With time, you find your footing on the rocky flooring. Wallace's voice again cascading from the walls and into your ears, ringing with a cacophonous volume. \n\n"There is obviously nothing within these caverns. I have checked what I believe to be the entirety of the left passage and found nothing other than typical fauna. Come, we must retreat to camp. There is much to be done before we leave this dreadful area."\n\nYou are here. He is here. [[It is gone.|Answer]]\n
A blasphemous cancellation of the transcendence has come, poisoning the once profound experience, dragging your entirety downwards. As your eyes begin to close, you lose sight of the paradise once approached, shutting the gates of eden as quickly as the sliding of your heavy eyelids.\n\nYou attempt to push back only to find the endeavor futile. The [[ev|Disconnect]]ent has finished, and you are filled with a screaming fear that there will never be one to replace it, reproduce it, or attempt to reach its majesty again.\n\nYour head lilts to one side as you reopen your eyes to view the hand that drags you away from [[what you had finally understood|Wallace3]].
Of course, //of course!// You see it now too clearly. Wallace is not hiding the sphere, it rests atop his lumbering, useless body. \n\n"Goodbye, Wallace."\n\nYou raise a fist before your confused target, and strike, pounding again and again relentlessly against the narrow area that connects the thief and your pilfered prize. \n\nYou gaze into the windows he has placed before the sphere with each strike, hoping to reclaim your place of serenity. Only a little longer now, and you'll return.\n\nYou finally separate the sphere, throwing the lumpy flesh that had chained it to the side. As you replace the object in the middle of the room, you swear never again to allow anyone to take it.\n\nYou'll be here, keeping an eye on it, as it keeps its eyes on you.
