You sit down in a comfy chair and pick up a book sitting on the night stand. The book is titled "The Black Rabbit: An Elysian Tale" though the name of the author doesn't appear to be on the cover. A picture of a rabbit in armor carrying a sword is seen within the front of the book.

Once upon a time, there was a black rabbit by the name of Asari Hirohisa. He had a shoulder guard that looked reminicent to a japanese design used on soldiers of the 16th century, yet with a more refined make and design.
This rabbit was once a soldier, working under Shogun Shidehara's command. He was one of many soldiers. Not the greatest, but not weak. He could shoot a bow, swing a sword, carry heavy loads, and run with great speed. Something any soldier could do.
Yet despite being so average, the rabbit had experience. Having fought many battles, giving him a better edge in combat. With each victory sharped his skills, each defeat he survived added to his wisdom. He earned each scar upon his body, surviving to tell the tale.
His greatest and most recent scar, the star-shaped one upon his chest, was a tale of how everything he knew turned upon him.
You turn the page->page2It was a bright morning. Hirohisa got up from bed for his morning drills. As he puts on his armor, he hears the sound of the horn blazing in the air.
It was a sound only used in case of an intruder. He quickly places his helmet garb and grabs his sword, moving his way down the steps to find the captain. He needed to know what was going on!

<</if>>A Shogun was a hereditary military dictator in Japan during the period from 1192 to 1867. In this period, the shoguns were the de facto rulers of the country; although nominally they were appointed by the Emperor as a ceremonial formality.
The Shogun held almost absolute power over territories through military means, in contrast to the concept of a colonial governor in Western culture.

THE ENDAlong the way, he was shocked to find the bodies of his comrades laid about the halls and floor of the castle. It was as if a wild animal dashed across and mauled each man to pieces.
He reaches the room where the captain resides. Much to his horror, the poor military captain met the same fate as the rest. All was not lost, however. Next to him, a note was buried under his hand. It apepars to be written in the blood that dripped from his body.
Upon the note, Hirohisa read a set of words written upon it: The Dark Devourer.
page4The Dark Devourer, a creature of great power and evil. It was said that it goes from place to place, destroying all who stood in it's way. Every village and city it has gone to, fell to ruins. No one knows for certain as to why or how. Yet whenever a surviver is asked as to the cause, always the answer is the same: A dark being with overhwleming power cutting through with claws like knives.
And now, the creature has found it's way here in the castle.

Hirohisa knew of these rumors and the reputation of this creature. For any man wise enough, they would flee. However, Hirohisa doesn't have the fortune to do so. He was bounded by loyalty of his Shogun, to protect him from any and all threats. With this creature here, he needed to head to the Shogun's throne room and defend him against any possible attack from the Dark Devourer.
He raced across the halls, ran up the steps, and kicked through the doors to the throne room. It didn't take him long to find the massive double doors which lead him to his destination. He stepped through the gates.
Hirohisa found the Shogun, his head on top of the throne.
The creature standing right in front of it, turning around to see the black rabbit just as he entered.
page6 Hirohisa was too late. He wasn't fast enough to stop the creature. With his comrades dead, the captain gone, and the castle without a ruler, Hirohisa had nothing left.
Intending to gain back some shred of honor and to stop the creature, Hirohisa charged at the Dark Devourer. His sword held high.
Sadly, despite all his rage and experience, he was no match for the creature. He was struck down in an instant. It's fist thrusted into his chest. From there, he was consumed.
Hirohisa had lost.
page 7 This is not the end of our tale.
Despite being taken by the Dark Devourer, the black rabbit managed to live on within it. Suspended in a state that was neither living nor dead.
It'd be years before he would be freed. Years before he awakens to find himself in a body not of his own.
page 8
Asari Hirohisa awakens to find himself suspended in a plane of existance that could only be described as Limbo. Darkness all around him. The only points of light he could see are what appear to be windows that seem to appear and disappear at random. He made his way towards one that stood the longest.
On the other side, he sees a Herm Husky. Well build, covered in scars much like his own. Too much like his own.
page 9 He wasn't sure what he was seeing, yet he know that this person was his way out. So he tries to communicate with the husky.
She didn't react in a positive manner.
page10For about 10 minutes, he had to endure the heated exhange he had with the husky. They went back and forth until finally a few words managed to pierce through the barrier.
The husky's name is Nashandra. She recieved her scars which matched his by the Dark Devourer. From he could understand, Hirohisa's very essence was transfered into Nashandra's body. Not even her impressive healing could rid of the scars. They neither fade nor heal.
So now he's stuck within limbo, his essence tied to an angry Husky, and must find a way to regain his body to stop the Dark Devourer.
Hirohisa had his work cut out for him.
