“Splash!” A glass bottle lands on the ocean surface. You hurriedly slap your tail and swim away from it. The two legged land animals, which seemed bite-sized compared to your mother, were always throwing garbage and odd materials into the sea. Everyone in your world never understood what or how those materials were harmful. Food was hard to find, and whatever you didn’t deem aggressive was food. That was how mamma had gotten separated, those oddly shaped poisonous materials and trash. One day they spilled yellow liquid, “oil” they had called it. This “oil” reeked of something sickening and when you tasted it, it tasted like metal. You both had to flee to the mainland. Somehow, you took a wrong turn behind a reef, and suddenly, she was gone. Now you’re on your own, with some sort of ‘nausea’ going on in your stomach; curse your curious tastebuds!
Do you…..

The ocean is a dangerous place for a little whale. Unfortunately, you have no other choice but to head out, if you ever want to see your mother again. You head past schools of yellow fish, dreading the journey that awaits.

You don’t have a chance of finding her, it’s too risky to be swimming in a those chemicals. Besides, your mother always knew where she could find you. You swim farther into the distance looking for a sign or geographical feature that could signal you to your favorite childhood reef.
As you swim, with an attempt to be calm, you notice transparent, fish-like containers. You remember your mother teaching you about plastic, reminding you that it was deadly to aquatic animals. It was how your family friend, a dolphin named Blasen, “went to sleep”. Your mother would often tell you about the colorful world she lived in back then; there was all sorts of animals and fish, and the was bright colorful coral nearly everywhere. Now it was nearly colorless and there were times when you guys would swim with no other living organism in sight. As you reminisce, you feel this pit of worry and sadness in your stomach area and heart, though that feeling in your stomach may be the oil.
