"What was that?" Germany cries, grabbing his brother's arm. Prussia places a hand on his younger brother's shoulder, to calm him, but says nothing.\n\nThey all stare down the hall, saying nothing. Germany swallows.\n\n"I-I think we should go now."\n\nJapan looks at him, unimpressed.\n\n"Germany, stop being silly," he orders. "It's just an old house. There's nothing to be scared of... Well. Apart from us."\n\n"Where are you going?" Italy asks, when Japan starts leaving the group. He stops walking and looks back to them.\n\n"... To see what that noise was."\n\nPrussia glances to Germany, then back to Japan.\n\n"Careful Japan. A ghost might eat you."\n\nGermany surpresses a whimper and looks at his brother, a little annoyed by the mocking comment.\n\n"Shut up Prussia. I'll be back in a minute," Japan says.\n\nHe continues walking, [[leaving the group.]]
"... That's an... interesting butterfly," Prussia mutters, looking at it, flutter off.\n\n"Really? We come all this way and you look at a butterfly?" Japan asks, but Italy seems interested.\n\n"... A butterfly? Out here?" he asks and walks over.\n\nThe other three watch him, surprised. Italy has never, before, expressed an interest in wildlife. The sudden change was... well...\n\nItaly touches the butterfly and as he does, it suddenly dissolves, melting into him. There is a glow of blue light, engulfing the Italian, before it fades away. Italy stares at the space where the butterfly had once been, confused. He feels stronger. A lot stronger. But what he thinks of that... He doesn't know.\n\nFor a long time, no one says anything.\n\n"What the f*ck was that??" one of the four exclaims. Italy looks back at them. He looks at his hands.\n\n"Why would he leave..." he starts, but falls silent again.\n\n"Italy?"\n\n"I... I don't know!" Italy snaps, gripping his head. His mind is racing, trying to find an answer to why a blue butterfly would be out here--- The only explanation though...\n\nHe fell to his knees.\n\nHe didn't understand. Or rather, he didn't want to. He KNEW that his friend was..\n\n... But...\n\n... How long had that butterfly been there? Italy didn't notice Japan, Prussia or Germany walk over to him.\n\n"Italy?" Germany asks, sounding concerned. Italy doesn't look up, his mind is still racing. He is currently strong, until he actively fights. What should he do with this extra strength? Was there a purpose for all this? Maybe the butterfly was out here for a reason-- and not a bad one... He didn't know. His only option was to wait for him, but...\n\n"Nothing..." Italy says. "Just a butterfly..."\n\n"But... It---"\n\n"Doesn't matter, I don't feel any different..." Italy lies.\n\nJapan and Prussia look at each other, but say nothing. Italy gets to his feet.\n\n"Are we going to explore this mansion or not?" he asks. Before anyone can answer, Italy enters the mansion.\n\n[[The others follow him.]]
A deserted house in a mountain,\nAbout three hours on foot\nfrom the world summit place.\n\nNo one knows how long it has been there\nOr who used to live in it.\n\nRumours had it, that is was [[haunted]].
He dismisses his feelings and takes out a book. It's something about Dissociative Identity Disorder. Having finished the book, he puts it back. [[He has better things to do.]]

But...\n\nCloser inspection and Japan notices it.\n\n"Hey, what's with this blue butterfly?" he asks. Italy pales, but nobody notices. He casually walks over.\n\n"Looks like a bit of graffiti," he says, but he almost tackles Japan when he sees him reaching out to touch it.\n\n"Don't do that!" Italy yells, as the two land on the floor.\n\n"Why? What's wrong? It's just a painting on the..."\n\nPrussia touches the butterfly and it suddenly becomes alive, fluttering onto him, dissolving, engulfing, before blinding everyone with a bright blue light. When it disappears, Prussia is left standing in the room, looking confused.\n\n"What..." he starts. He doesn't know what has just happened to him. Italy rests his heads in his hands.\n\n"Dio..." he mutters. "Please don't let this have any consequence---"\n\nHe looks up and sees it. The Thing that has been plaguing him for who knows how long. Centuries. Must have been.\n\n"Run!" Italy yells and he gets to his feet, quickly. He runs. They run. Japan runs to the kitchen, but the Thing follows the others upstairs. Germany hides in the first room he sees-- The Thing continues to follow the other two.\n\nItaly runs upstairs, expecting it to chase him---\n\nBut it doesn't. It's going after Prussia. But... why??\n\n"The magic..." Italy mutters and runs back downstairs--- It's backed Prussia into a corner. Italy jumps on its back, distracting it briefly and Prussia flees. Annoyed, it grabs Italy and smashes him against the wall, holding him up, against it. Italy coughs and holds its arm, trying to breathe, but nothing happens--- Prussia sees it and for a moment, he looks indecisive.\n\nBut his face hardens with ressolve. Italy's eyes widened. Prussia abandoned him. He just turned and ran away. The pressure around his neck grew. If he didn't get out of this soon, he'd-----\n\nS N A P\n\n--------------------------\n\nBAD END
Japan sighs in relief. On the second floor, he discovers an unlocked door. Once again though, he fails to notice the [[blue butterfly*]].\n\nHe enters and looks around. There is a bookshelf in the corner. The books are all [[black]].\n\nHe looks at the bed and his eyes widen a little with surprise.\n\n"What's Germany's whip doing here?" he thinks to himself, but pockets the item. Shrugging it off, he continues.\n\nIf the whip is here... Then presumably, so are his friends... So they hadn't left...\n\nAgain, he ignores any feelings of being trapped. He discovers another open door and enters. There are [[more black books]] in a corner. But the curtain interests him more.\n\n[[It's shaking.]]
Japan looks at the water in his hands... Perhaps he can pretend to take a sip?\n\nHe brings the cup to his lips, but doesn't open them. He suppresses shivers at the thought that he was touching TOILET water.\n\nHe brings the cup back down, holding it out to Germany.\n\n"There, see? Not poisoned or dangerous in anyway."\n\n"What if you already took the antidote?" Germany quickly says, but Japan simply shoves the glass into his hands.\n\n"Just drink it already," he orders. Germany looks away.\n\n"... Fine," he mutters and hesitantly takes a sip. Not tasting anything fishy, he finishes the glass.\n\n"... Thank you. I guess," he says, handing the glass back to Japan. Japan doesn't take it, instead covering his mouth with a hand.\n\n"Are... you smiling?" Germany asks. Japan shakes his head, turning his back to him. He removes his hand, a smile on his face.\n\nHe coughs, trying to suppress a laugh.\n\n"So, Germany--" he starts, looking back to Germany--- but... He looks like he's in immense pain.\n\n"... Germany?" Japan asks. He looks at the empty glass. Germany is gripping his stomach.\n\n"What- What did you put in that?" he demands. "I... I can't..." he continues. He falls to his side. Japan runs up to him.\n\n"Germany? Germany?" he asks. He frowns. So, toilet water... Definitely not drinkable... But this reaction was more similar to being poisoned...\n\n"Hey, Germany, stop playing dead, get up," he says, shaking him. Germany doesn't react. It seems it was going to take a little longer than usual for him to recover from... poisoning...\n\n... It must have been quite strong.\n\n"Germany?" Japan asks. He sits down and waits.\n\n"He'll come around..." Japan says, as he waits.\n\nSeveral hours later, Germany hasn't moved. Japan is curled up in a ball. He can't accept something... some sort of horrible... horrible-- He doesn't mind people dying... But...\n\n--- he doesn't want to die.\n\n"... He'll come around..." Japan mutters, staring into space. "... He'll come around..."\n\n-----------------------------------\nBAD END
Japan quietly closes his mouth again. The Thing enters the bathroom. He can move again. His breathing is irregular. Why is he reacting like this?\n\nThere is no reason to be afraid-- He's Japan, he does NOT get afraid---\n\nHe rests his back against a wall and sinks to his knees, trying to calm down.\n\nHe doesn't understand why, but something deep inside him had felt unparalled FEAR when he saw that Thing.\n\nHe hopes he can get over the fear... If that Thing had attacked him... He would have been powerless to defend himself. He hadn't been able to move his body! It had been... Terrifying.\n\nHe looks up at the ceiling. What IS this place?\n\nHe sighs. They should have listened to Germany and just have left while they had the chance. They were such...\n\nHe gets to his feet and walks up to the door the Thing had disappeared behind. Despite fear... He wants to know if it's still there. He reaches for the door, a little nervous and...\n\nDiscovers it is locked. A small sigh of relief and a little frustration.\n\nDeciding not to think too much about the incident, Japan leaves.\n\nSince there isn't anything else to do on the first floor, he goes upstairs. He'd already tried a few windows, but those hadn't budged either.\n\nHe was starting to wonder if he was perhaps... Trapped?\n\nThe notion was ridiculous, but... Well, with everyone mysteriously gone...\n\nJapan shakes his head. He's sure that there is a reasonable explanation [[for everything]].
Japan moves over to the books and decides to investigate. He takes one out. Something about loneliness.\n\nHe takes out another book, but a page falls out. Japan places the book on the shelf and picks up the page.\n\n"TOO SOON." he reads and looks at it in confusion---\n\n\n--- And that was the last thing he ever registered. Something killed him. 2p!HetaOni Chapter 1
Japan's eyes widen once he reaches where his allies should have been. He finds it abandoned, with no one else around.\n\n"Did they leave after all?" he wonders. He frowns. "... How regrettable... Well, might as well leave too..." he decides, opening the front door.\n\nOr rather, attempts to open the front door.\n\nNothing happens. Surprised, he rattles the knob several times, but to no avail. It seems to be locked.\n\n"Did they lock me in?"\n\nHe knows they couldn't have--- with what key? --- but before his thoughts can drift any more, he'd already stopped caring. He looks the door over.\n\n"Well... It was a nice door while it lasted..."\n\nHe kicks the door down.\n\nOr rather, again, he tries to. Nothing happens. Other than a lot of pain shooting through his leg. He flinches and leans against a wall, to let his leg recover. He hisses.\n\nAs he tries to think through the pain, he briefly wonders how kicking it down didn't work. He had kicked down plenty of doors before, why had it not worked this time?\n\nHe shrugs it off and stands back on his two feet. He takes out his sword. Well, this should certainly work.\n\nBut nothing happens as he slashes the door. The wood isn't damaged at all. He can't even make out a scratch on its surface.\n\n"What is this? A magic door?" he accidentally exlaims, before hitting it in frustration. He stands there for a few seconds, before attempting to open it again. As expected, nothing has changed, the door has remained locked.\n\nHe sighs.\n\nHe'll have to find [[another exit.]]
But... He hesitates and looks the butterfly over. He touches it and it suddenly activates. He... He suddenly feels a lot more powerful.\n\nWhat the f*ck?\n\nHe doesn't know what to do... So he shrugs and continues.\n\n\n\n.........................................\n\n\n\nSome time later, the Allies arrive. They split and England, China and France go to the second floor.\n\nUpon getting there, England says he doesn't want to hang around, so China and England go to look at the third and fourth floor, leaving the second to France.\n\nWhen they go back to meet up with France, he is no where to be found. So China tells England to stay put, while he looks to find France in other rooms.\n\nHe enters a dining room and sees a message.\n\n"Find the missing pages" China mumurs, confused. With all this weird graffiti everywhere, he was starting to get uncomfortable... And perhaps a small part of him wanted to solve the mystery... To know what happened. He sighs and goes back to rejoin England.\n\n"Sorry England, I couldn't find..." China falls silent, his eyes widening.\n\n"England! England, are you OK?" he asks, running over to the Brit. England is lying slumped against a wall.\n\n"England, hey, stop joking around, we need to--" China says, approaching him.\n\n"I know you're messing with me-- Nations can't die! So come on-"\n\nChina touches him.\n\n"England, stop---"\n\nHe stares in horror, noticing that England's cravat and collar is coloured red. He slowly lifts England's head, to see that there is a giant wound in his neck like... Something had...\n\nbitten...\n\n"England, I know you're really hurt, but--- We don't die like... You're not... Stop playing dead---"\n\nChina tries to shake England awake, but nothing happens. England is still limp.\n\n"Iggy? Iggy, hey, wake up--- Hey, I know you're messing around, I mean..."\n\nChina is confused and tries to move away from England, but falls instead, his knees suddenly feeling very, very weak. His heart is beating too fast and he is finding it difficult to think.\n\nThis has to be his imagination--- What was... This...\n\n"England---" he starts, but suddenly stops. Why is it suddenly dark?\n\nHe looks up.\n\nChina pales.\n\n"Er---" he starts, only able to notice the blood on its teeth... Before, you know, dying.\n\n-------------\n\nBAD END.
Upon entering, they hear a plate smash. They look at each other.\n\n"... Maybe this was a bad idea..." Germany starts, looking nervous. Prussia looks at him surprised.\n\n"What's the matter West? Don't tell me you're scared..."\n\n"I'll go see what it was." Japan says and walks off.\n\nThe three remain in the hall.\n\n"It was probably nothing," Italy lies. He knows what is was. Or rather, what it probably was. Prussia and Germany look at each other.\n\n"That butterfly was weird..." Prussia mutters. "We shouldn't have entered here, we should have..." he tries to continue, but he notices that Italy and Germany are staring behind him... He slowly looks around and ses a... A...\n\nIt... It is grey and kind of humanoid. Tall, lanky, skinny, like it hadn't eaten in a long time. It is too tall for the halls and has to walk on its fours. It is slowly crawling closer.\n\n"Run!" Italy yells, before running up the stairs. They follow. And so does the Thing.\n\nGermany splits from them, running into a room. Prussia wants to stop him--- Keep him by his side--- But it was too late. Prussia had rushed past the room and now the Thing is blocking him. He ran into another room.\n\nItaly continues running upstairs, when it occurs to him.... He is currently very, very strong. Why run? He turns around, taking out his dagger, smiling.\n\n"Not today" he says. The Thing doesn't hear him. It attacks him, but Italy takes out his dagger and digs it into the Thing. It lets out a scream, but Italy stabs again and again, before then aiming for the forehead. It collapses and falls onto the floor. It fades. Italy grins.\n\n\n-----------------------------\n\n\nMuch later...\n\n"Hang on, there's supposed to be a butterfly around here somewhere..." a nation says.\n\n"What does it do?"\n\n"Super strength. It'll help us move that bolder... But..." The nation pales.\n\n"I... I can't find it!"\n\n"What?"\n\nHe laughs nervously.\n\n"Don't worry! Uh... I'm sure I can copy the spell somehow... I have an affinity to magic."\n\n"No, are you crazy?? You can't joke about---"\n\n"I'm not joking. What other choice do we have? We need to move that bolder. Don't worry, I'll be fine."\n\nHis friend looks at him unsure, but nods. \n\n"All right," he says.\n\nA few moments later, he regretted his decision. His friend is lying dead in his arms and he looks up at two Things, climbing out of the hole they'd unblocked.\n\nAs he looks at them, knowing death is upon him, he mutters "I was getting sick of this f*cking game anyway."\n\n------------------------\n\nBAD END.
After some searching, he finds that the key fits into a door on the first floor (but sadly, not the front door--- That would have been too easy).\n\nHe opens it. It creaks. Most doors do. He looks aroud the library. It is filled with more black books. The door closes behind him. He looks behind and quickly tries to open the door.\n\nIt opens.\n\nHe sighs in relief. Must have been the wind or something... He also has the key... No need to worry about being locked in.\n\n... Right?\n\nHe walks further into this... library. He feels like he's being... watched. He walks around the library, but sees no one.\n\n"... paranoia..." Japan mutters under his breath. He doesn't see another blue butterfly painted onto the wall. He sees the books... [[He could take one]]... [[But he shouldn't]]. [[He has better things to do.]]
Japan enters the room and opens the curtain.\n\n"Germany, I brought you some water. Drink it," Japan orders, holding out the water. To his surprise, Germany is not only no longer shaking, he seems to be able to speak.\n\n"Is this water?" he asks, after looking at it suspiciously. Japan stares at him, frowning.\n\n"No. It's a whale. Just drink it already."\n\nGermany hesitates, reaching out for the glass, before slapping Japan's hand away at the last second.\n\n"I don't trust you. You drink it," he demands.\n\nOptions\n[[Drink it.]]\n[[Don't drink it.]]
It's started again.\n\nThis time, it's the four former members of the axis standing in front of the House.\n\nThey look at the House, with mild boredom. A [[blue butterfly]] is flying in the background, but only Prussia notices it. He says nothing.\n\n"Well," Italy starts, breaking the silence. "Who would have thought it?" He smiles. "It's really here."\n\nFor a moment, it seems no one will speak. Japan frowns.\n\n"... I thought it was just a rumour. I never thought we would actually find it."\n\n"It has such a desolate feel..." Prussia notes. "Not bad... But I've seen more desolate places... In my heart."\n\nGermany rolls his eyes.\n\n"Prussia, no one cares."\n\nHe then continues.\n\n"Besides, I don't feel this place is that interesting anyway."\n\nJapan nods in agreement, adding "Can't we just look at it from the outside and then go back? I've got better things to do than explore a rotting building."\n\nItaly looks at him, still smiling and shrugs.\n"Please," he says, as if talking to a child. "After all the trouble we went into, just to find this place? It'd be a waste not to go in for a little while. Unless you're afraid of dying?"\n\nJapan momentarily glares at Italy, but the Italian has already left to enter the House. Japan huffs out, annoyed, and follows him. Prussia glances to Germany, before likewise entering.\n\nGermany stands outside alone, in silence. He's not sure if he really wants to enter...\n\nOptions:\n[[Enter.]]\n[[Don't enter.]]
Germany throws his arms in the air.\n\n"I am not going in there! I'm not doing that!"\n\nEvery they were able to see the House, he had gotten very, VERY bad vibes.\n\nHe does NOT want to enter.\n\nHe backs away from the House.\n\n"If they want to waste time in that House, they can!" he decides. He turns around and walks away, ignoring a sinking feeling in his stomach.\n\nHe approaches the gate and reaches out to open it. It creaks. For a moment, he hesitates and looks back. PRUSSIA is back there... and... For some reason...\n\nItaly and Japan are also back there. And... Somehow... He feels like he's betraying them? He shakes it off. He's not betraying them. He's just not going to hang around, wasting time. Where's the betrayal in that? Besides, even if it was, in some bizarre way, hurtful, it wasn't like they had never given him grief for something before.\n\nGermany looks back at the House. It looms over him despite the distance... almost eerily. He looks back to the outside and takes a step out---\n\nATTEMPTS to take a step out--- But nothing happens. It's like he's walking into a... An invisible wall...\n\n"YoU..."\n\nGermany straightens up. Did he just hear...\n\n"WOn't... ESc...aPe... LiKE... thAt..."\n\nGermany slowly turns around and flinches. He tries to take a step away, but all he feels is that- that strange invisible wall---\n\n"YoUR... coN... tRAct... nOT... FUlfiLLed..."\n\n"What do you want from me??" Germany cries. It's a... A grey monster! He... He doesn't understand--- Prussia always said that the only real monsters were fellow humans (and nations)--- What's with...\n\n"coN... tRAct... brEAk... eR"\n\n"What contract??" Germany yells, reaching for his whip. But the Thing swings its claws at him--- Across his arms and chest. Germany falls to his knees---- the pain--- blood----\n\nBut---\n\nHe had felt such pain before--\nWhy was his body already giving up on him---\n\n"DeATh... tO... coN..." It approached him. "tRAct... brEAk..." It raised its arm again. Germany tries to get past the pain--- to defend himself...\n\n"Come on... Do it for Prussia..." Germany thinks, reaching for his whip again.\n\n"brEAk... eR..." Germany cracks his whip, snapping at the Thing's arm. It roars ferociously--- And then----\n\nGermany never got to register what happened--- It happened so fast---\n\nLosing your head is never fun.\n\n------------------------\n\nBAD END.
Japan sighs and closes his eyes, as if to think.\n\n"Fine," he says after a pause, "Honestly, it's so nice to know I'm trusted." he adds, before taking a sip. He holds the cup back out to Germany.\n\n"There, see? Not poisoned or dangerous in anyway."\n\n"What if you already took the antidote?" Germany quickly says, but Japan, fed up with his childish demands, shoves the glass into his hands.\n\n"Just drink it already," he orders. Germany looks away.\n\n"... Fine," he mutters and hesitantly takes a sip. Not tasting anything fishy, he finishes the glass.\n\n"... Thank you. I guess," he says, handing the glass back to Japan. Japan doesn't take it and walks away, mustering the room.\n\n"... Seeing as you've calmed down now... Care to explain what happened?" he asks, turning around to look at him.\n\nAgain, Germany looks away.\n\n"... I'm not sure. At any rate, we ran for our lives... I don't know where they ran... I..."\n\nGermany falls silent and looks down. Japan massages his forehead, doing his best to ignore his growing frustration.\n\n"Thank you for your helpfulness," he says dryly, "I'll go look for them... You stay here."\n\nGermany looks up at him.\n\n"Thanks---"\n\n"I don't want to hear it," Japan says curtly. "Stay out of sight," he adds, as he opens the door.\n\n"Hang on Japan, I---"\n\nJapan looks at him expectantly.\n\n"Um.... I... I found..." Germany, not finding his words, gives up and takes out a key, showing it to him.\n\n"... Found this..." he says. Japan walks over and looks at it.\n\n"... Hm," is all Japan says, taking the key. "As said, stay out of sight."\n\nJapan leaves the room and goes to find a door that [[the key will fit into.]]
The ex-axis look around the hallway of the house. They don't notice [[the blue butterfly]] on the wall. Germany shifts uncomfortably, but otherwise says nothing. He briefly looks to his brother, who is simply looking around the hallway with a little surprise. Italy is passive. Japan simply looks like he's about ready to kill someone. It's clear he really doesn't want to be here.\n\nItaly places his hands on his hips.\n\n"Hm," he starts "It's cleaner than I thought." He glances to Japan and smiles. "... Certainly not rotting, is it Japan?"\n\nJapan says nothing, choosing to instead fold his arms. Germany looks at the floor.\n\n"L-look, can we go now?"\n\nPrussia looks at him surprised.\n\n"What's the matter West? Don't tell me you're scared."\n\n[[SMASH]]
Japan notices the blue butterfly on the wall.\n\n"What..." he starts and touches it. It activates, flying out and melding itself into his kantana. He stares blankly at it, but shrugs it off.\n\nUnknown to him, the kantana has been strengthened to the point that one blow will severely injure a Thing. You only have one shot though.\n\n\n-----------------------------------------\n\n\nSome time later, the Allies arrive. They split and England, China and France go to the second floor.\n\nUpon getting there, England says he doesn't want to hang around, so China and England go to look at the third and fourth floor, leaving the second to France.\n\nWhen they go back to meet up with France, he is no where to be found. So China tells England to stay put, while he looks for France in other rooms.\n\nThey don't find him and go to the kitchen, where they find Russia and Canada fighting a Thing. They attempt to help, but it simply exhausts them.\n\nDefeated, the Thing moves in for the kill. Interestingly enough, it goes after England first.\n\nEngland, unaware of the danger, looks up at the Thing. He smiles.\n\n"Oh, hello there~! Do you want to be friends?"\n\nThe Thing raises an arm to kill him. But before it can, Japan jumps down (... from the ceiling...?) and hits the Thing. It jumps up alert, while England just watches in confusion.\n\nThe Thing throws Japan off his back and thrashes at him. He dodges and attacks, but each attack is countered by the Thing.\n\n"Hey, help me!" Japan yells to others, as he realises that he is no longer fending for England, but for himself.\n\n"I can't. We already tried--- It just---!" China snaps back, getting to his feet.\n\nEngland, gets to his feet. The others are up, but aren't doing anything help Japan.\n\nEngland doesn't do anything either.\n\nSo Japan switches tactics.\n\n"Run!" he yells and runs out of the room. The Thing, having not moved fast enough to catch Japan, looks at the others. They hurriedly run after Japan. The thing reaches out for them, but only manages to catch Russia's scarf, who quickly ditches it.\n\nThe Thing tears the scarf apart and then chases after them.\n\nThey get to the hall, the Thing still after them.\n\nThey here more running and see Italy and Germany running towards them, likewise chased by a Thing.\n\nThey all look at each other, alarmed. Italy is bewildered and looks between the two Things. \n\n"Don't just stand there, run!" he yells. They do.\n\nBut Italy knows. He knows that they won't all going to get out of this alive. It is always hard to kill those Things at the beginning...\n\nHe runs after them, realising that he was the only one left downstairs---\n\nBut the Thing circles him. So does the one behind him. It's two against him... \n\nAlmost fair...\n\n"Italy! Watch out!" someone calls out. He doesn't know who, but Italy is distracted by him for just a second--- more than enough for both of the Things to lunge at him--- and end everything.\n\n\n-------------------------\nBAD END
Japan shakes his head. No, he is not a childish nation. Such jokes were beneath him. He continues onwards.\n\nThere is a mirror and a sink in the toilet room.\n\nHe looks at the mirror. It's dusty, he can't see himself. He turns the tap on. Water comes out. Not much, but it was better than nothing.\n\n"At least this one's working..." he mutters, filling up a cup that had stood next to the sink.\n\nAs he takes some, he briefly [[glances in the mirror]].\n\nHaving filled the cup, he goes to [[give Germany the water.]]
Japan enters the kitchen. Again, he doesn't notice the blue butterfly. He continues to the sink and turns it on---\n\n--- but nothing comes out. He stares at it in disbelief, but then soon got frustrated and hit it.\n\n"Stupid thing..." he mutters and walks away. He can't get water there. He'll have to go elsewhere...\n\nHe walks to the west wing again. He remembers a bathroom being there.\n\nHe looks at the toilet in the room and smirks for a moment.\n\nIt occurs to him that he could give toilet water to Germany--- It'd be hilarious. But maybe he shouldn't...\n\nShould he?\n\nOption:\n[[Take toilet water.]]\n[[Don't take toilet water.]]
"What's this?!" Japan yells. His body is still paralyzed and he realises too late that by screaming, he got the Thing's attention.\n\nIt turns to him, slowly. It has large, black eyes and its face is somehow sharp, pointy and heavily wrinkled. Its mouth opens to reveal sharp fangs with rows of sharp teeth hidden behind them.\n\nJapan can't do anything but stare. He screams at his body to move, but nothing happens.\n\nHe watches the Thing approach. It crawls to him slowly. Despite open mouth, it smiles. It makes a terrible screeching noise, high-pitched and... And... It... Despite the pitch it... It sounds like...\n\nLaughter?\n\nIt limps over to Japan. He still can't move. He just stares. The Thing lifts up one of its arms and starts swinging it in, claws out to kill---\n\nAt the last second, the Thing places its hand on his shoulder. It leans in, mouth upon, wide enough to bite his head off---\n\nIt rests its forehead on his. It places its other hand on his shoulder and slowly licks his face.\n\nThe act somehow makes Japan unfreeze. In one smooth motion, he grabs his katana and takes it out-- But he doesn't get further--- The Thing reacted to his sudden movement and bit down---\n\nJapan lets out an agonised scream and falls to his knees. His... His whole arm had just been... He looks up and sees the Thing swallow. His... His whole arm...\n\nHe feels weak and sick, but fear kicks in again and keeps him paralyzed. The pain in unbearable. He tries to look up, but he's frozen in place. He sees the Thing's feet. He feels himself being picked up by the neck.\n\nHe stares at the Thing, as it opens its mouth. It unhinges its jaw. Japan's eyes widen. It's going to attempt to swallow him whole.\n\nIt drops him inside his mouth. He can't scream, his entire body has shut down. There isn't enough room for him, so as his falls into the pitch black, he feels more and more rows off teeth dig into him, until it starts to bite down and---\n\n----\n\nBAD END
Japan yanks it open and something flinches. He can't see anything, it's black.\n\nBut the person comes into the light and looks up at him.\n\n"Germany??" Japan exclaims. The man is a shivering mess. He says nothing, he just stares.\n\n"Germany, why are you still here? I thought you left and--" Japan stops and continues staring at Germany, before massaging his forehead. Germany isn't reacting to him. At all. He sighs.\n\n"... Can you at least tell me if the others are still here?" he asks. Germany continues shaking. Japan rolls his eyes and looks around the room.\n\n"I'll get you a glass of water. Maybe that'll calm you down."\n\nGermany doesn't reply. Japan closes the curtain and [[leaves]] him in the room.
Japan looked at the glass a moment, before thrusting it into Germany's hands.\n\n"Just drink it already," he orders.
He looks around. Other than more bookcases, there isn't much but a large table. He walks over to it, looking things over. Just more books, a few papers...\n\nAnd then he sees something rather odd lying on the table. He picks it up and examines it.\n\n"This- This is..."\n\nHe looks it over.\n\n"... An ordinary riceball... What's it doing here---"\n\nThere is a sudden creaking sound. Japan stands up, alert, his hand immediately reaching for his kantana.\n\n"Hello?" he asks. "Italy? Prussia?"\n\nHe walks to where the noise was coming from. As he walks around the corner, he sees it.\n\nIt's... It's the grey giant- from earlier. It's running to him. It looks more terrifying up close-- Luckily, his body doesn't paralyze from unknown fear. He runs away, running to the door. Something told him that a fight would be pointless--\n\nHe finds the door locked.\n\n"But-- But I didn't lock it!" Japan thinks. He reaches into his pocket for the key, only to find that missing too. For a moment, he feels like he can't move.\n\nBut his mind, still racing, manages to focus on searching the library for the key--- It must have simply fallen out of his pocket or something.\n\nThe Thing is upon him. He dodges it, taking out his kantana and slicing it between the legs. The Thing groans and falls forwards, in an attempt to catch him. He slides beneath the Thing and runs away, searching for the key.\n\nIf it simply fell out (which it must have), it had to be lying on the floor somewhere...\n\nThe Thing is... It has stopped running? Why has it stopped running? It's walking, like...\n\nJapan continues searching for the key. Never mind what the Thing was upto-- Finding the key is more important than figuring out what the... Thing... was doing-- Other than attempting to kill him (simply impossible).\n\nJapan finds the key on the floor. He grins.\n\n"Yes!" he yells. The Thing looks up and suddenly starts running. Japan runs too, but it catches him by his shoulders. Still- Japan ignores the fact that he is- by all means- caught and continues running-- the epaulettes on his shoulders are torn off as a result.\n\nHe runs for the exit, fumbling with the key. Why are his hands shaking? He tries to still them. The Thing is approaching, but he ignores the danger.\n\nThe Thing isn't important--- Unlocking the door and leaving IS.\n\nHe manages to get the key and hurriedly unlocks it.\n\nHe slams the door shut behind him and leans against the door-- as if he is enough to stop the Thing from getting out. He leans against the door and tries to even out his breath.\n\nOnce he has calmed down, he holds his head in his hands.\n\n"... What on Earth was that thing?" he mutters, sinking to his knees.\n\n\n------------------------------\n\nCHAPTER 1 - COMPLETED
Japan smiles and takes the toilet water. This is too good a chance to miss.\n\nHe hurriedly makes his way back to Germany.\n\nWhen he gets there, he tears the curtain open.\n\n"Germany, I brought you some water. You drink it," he demands.\n\nOptions\n[[Drink.]]\n[[Don't drink.]]
"Just drink it already," he orders. Japan massages his forehead, doing his best to ignore his growing frustration.\n\n"Thank you for your helpfulness," he says, "I'll go look for them... You stay here."\n\nGermany looks up to him.\n\n"Thanks---"\n\n"I don't want to hear it," Japan says curtly.

Japan wanders around the first floor, but discovers that he can't enter any of the rooms, with the exception of the kitchen. Everything is locked. He breathes in deeply, trying not to get frustrated.\n\nHe decides that the rooms all being locked is curious... Not frustrating.\n\nHe wanders around a bit, before entering the left wing of the House. When he walks around the corner, he freezes. His body goes limp, suddenly paralyzed with fear.\n\nHe doesn't understand why he would react like that. Nothing scares him. But he does. He simply freezes in place.\n\nAhead of him, he sees...\n\nIt looks like a grey giant. He can't see much from far away. It seems to be standing with its back to him. And it has an overly large head and an unnervingly muscular body.\n\nHe opens his mouth.\n\nOptions:\n[["What this?!"]]\n[[Stay Calm]]
He almost drops the glass. Staring back is... Well, it is and isn't him. The colour is wrong--- the mirror is oddly clear... He has brown eyes and is wearing white instead of black. His hair seems slightly brown, as opposed to his pure black hair. He blinks, but the image is gone. All he sees is a dusty mirror, so dirty that he can't see himself.\n\nHe sighs and continues getting the mirror, before leaving to go and [[give Germany the water.]].
Japan enters the kitchen. The first thing he notices is the broken plate. He walks up to it and looks it over, before getting down to one knee.\n\nHe picks up one some of the shards and them. After all, they could come in useful. Extra weaponry and tools hadn't killed anyone... Well. Other than the people who didn't carry the extra arsenal.r\n\nSeeing nothing else, he decides to leave the kitchen and go back to the others. He doesn't look around the kitchen much, so he doesn't see another[[ Blue Butterfly]] on the wall.\n\nJapan feels the shards in his pocket.\n\nIt's not clear how the plate smashed, but he thinks it must have been the wind. Nothing weird about [[a broken plate.]]
He takes out a book. Strangely, it seems to be some kind of fairy tale... A page falls out of it.\n\nHe puts the book down and picks up the page.\n\n"TOO SOON." he reads and looks at it in confusion---\n\n\n--- And that was the last thing he ever registered. Something killed him. And he'd never know what or why.\n\n---------------\nBAD END
