"But, Daddy-"\n\n"Rose... trust me. You're Mommy is ok. She's fine. She's just...\na little sick", you interrupt.\n\nRose continues to cry in your arms for a while. Eventually, she\nstops and accepts what you told her.\nJack says nothing the entire time.\n\n[[Support]]
You stand still for a moment with the gun still pointed at what\nused to be Russell's face.\n\nYou can barely smell the smoke that emits from the chamber of\nyour pistol.\n\nYou drop the gun to your side and walk over to the only person\nalive to see you.\n\n[[You had a brother]]
"What do you mean?" Bri asks.\n\n"He kept looking. I told him we needed to come back before it\ngot too dark, but he wouldn't listen."\n\n"Is it ok- I mean is he alright- Did he-"\n\n"Bri, relax", you say as you grab her hand. "You know Jack."\n\n[[Does she?]]
You roll onto your back, and stare at the rotting wood of the cabin.\nStill in shock, you reflect on everything that has happened these past few days.\n"How did everything go so wrong", you think to yourself.\n\nSo many options were presented to you. So many different things\nthat you could have done to change the outcome of your life;\nto protect someone you loved, but you couldn't, and you didn't.\nAnd so you wonder to yourself: "Did I make the right choices?"\n\n[[Yes]]\n[[No]]\n[[Finally End It All ]]

You quickly lift the gun to your left, and fire another bullet\ninto the brain of Russell.\nHe falls over, and his dead body slides forward, stopping at your feet.\n\nThe knife that killed your daughter, lies beside him.\nYou were lucky and stopped him from killing you.\nYour wife wasn't as lucky.\n\n[[She was only seven ]]
Jack's pale body lies almost motionless on the dead grey Earth.\nThe blood loss and running cause him to silently gasp for air.\n\nHis face is blank, though you see tears coming from his eyes.\nHe mutters something to you.\n\n"I........I'm.........I...s-sor...\nMy.............ault....... Blood spurts forth from your seven year old daughter's neck\nas the cold steel blade goes through her skin, and muscle like\nbutter.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n[[Roll over]]

She is still breathing, but the blow to her head knocked her\nunconcious and she is bleeding from her forehead.\nYou wrap the rope around her ankles, and sit her up against\na wall.\n\nYou step back and look at her.\nYou're breathing heavy, and only now feel the blood dripping\nfrom your nose where your now tied up wife kicked you.\n\n[[Disoriented]]
The man with the gun then turns to your wife and examines her.\n\n"Hey", he says to the woman next to him. He motions with his\nhead at Bri.\n\nThey mumble something to each other that you can't quite make\nout.\n\n\n[[It's all Jack's fault ]]

"Think of what you're saying," you whisper sternly.\n"Our daughter! You want us to kill ourselves! For what!\nJust give up! We've gone ten years..."\n\nYou step closer...\n\n"And Rose...she's seven... she's... she needs her mother..."\n\n\n[[Take another step]]
He is always there for you.\nJack, with the only hand he has left, doesn't hesitate, unlike\nyou. He yells at the top of his lungs, and fires three shots.\nOne at the man.\nThe second at Russell.\nThe third at the woman.\nTears erupt from his eyes as he screams and shoots.\nMichael would have barked at him again.\n\n[[Wishmaker]]
Rose is heard screaming.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n[[Please, no ]]
You can't take your eyes off Rose.\nThe only feeling you have is Jack's arm pushing into your back.\nIt's uncomfortable. You feel some of his blood dripping down\nthe back of your shirt.\nYou wish he would move.\n\nBetween the stump that is his hand, the blood, and Jack's other\nhand that is trying to stop the bleeding, you feel Jack's gun.\n\n[[I need it ]]
"Take a look." He points over to a sac on the floor.\nThe sac is full of canned food.\nLots of it.\nEnough to last another week; maybe two!\n\n"Where did you find all this?"\n\n\n\n[[There's so much ]]
The woman screams as she lies between three dead bodies.\nShe has been sprayed with the blood of three bodies.\nShe is holding her ears, which are undoubtedly ringing.\n\nYou lift the gun up to fire your third bullet.\n\n\n\n\n[[We all fall down ]]
Jack stares with sad eyes as you attempt to end your suffering\ninstead of his own.\nAs you pull the trigger however, no bullets fire.\nYou are out of ammo.\n\nJack stares at you with a piercing hatred.\nEven with his emotionless face, his eyes speak thousands of\nwords. With this last look of disdain, Jack dies.\n\n[[Oh brother, where art thou?]]
"Yeah...I'll go", you reply.\nYou both grab some basic supplies, and leave through the front\ndoor.\n\n"I'll be back soon", you call back to Bri.\n\nShe makes a subtle nod.\n\n\n[[Into the jungle]]
You grab your gun out of your pocket, and point it to Jack.\n"Bri is right, Jack. We can't keep going on like this."\n\nYou turn the gun on yourself and press it to your head.\n\n\n\n\n\nSweet Release\n
You move quickly with the gun in your hand.\nBefore the man has time to recover from the kick of his gun\nbeing fired, you stop in your tracks, turn to face him,\naim, and fire.\nHis brain erupts from the back of his head; splattering some\nonto the woman behind him.\nBefore she can even process the feeling of the man's organs\non her face, hers are covering the door as well.\n\n[[Aftermath ]]
You continue to run towards the forest.\n"Jack is dead. There's no point in going back for him", you\nthink to yourself.\nAs you finish this thought, the man takes aim and fires again.\nHe misses.\nAfter a few more minutes of running, you find a small area to\nrest in. You lean against a tree before vomitting from pushing\nyour body so much. You fall to the ground.\n\n[[You're alone now ]]
\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n[[Silence]]
You slump to the ground after witnessing the death of your\nbrother.\nHe is as pale and deathly in appearance as the world around him.\n\nYou cry as you reflect on having to live with the knowledge\nthat you put your suffering above your dying brother's, and\nfailed at it. He watched you try to kill yourself, instead of\nhim as he begged for it.\n\n[[You're alone now]]\n\n
You have enough food for 2 weeks.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n[[Things will be easier now ]]
"I don't understand, Daddy."\n\n"Shhh, shhh. There, there", you say calmly.\n"Mommy is ok. She just wanted me to tie her up. Her belly hurts,\nand she told me that she'll get even sicker if she eats food,\nbut she's really hungry...so if I don't tie her up, she said she\nmight eat something."\n\n\n[[Taking advantage]]
You go upstairs and lay in your bed. The same bed that just the\nnight before, held your wife under the sheets.\n\nYou can still see a minor imprint from her body pressed into\nthe mattress.\n\nYou pass out.\n\n\n[[Dream of better times... ]]
"Early this morning", says the man. "You shot, and killed our\nboy."\n\n"We didn't kill any-"\n\n"You killed our boy!" exclaims the man with the gun. "We heard\na gunshot! And when we came to see what it was... You killed\nour boy!"\n\n[[Should I have gone with him? ]]\n\n
You turn quickly and grab the gun from Jack. You fire a bullet\ninto the air as a distraction. As you do, everyone ducks,\ngiving you the perfect opportunity to escape. You bolt out the\nbackdoor and leave Jack, Rose, and the three bandits in the\nhouse. The last thing you hear is Rose yelling after you.\n\n\n\n\n[[Don't stop running]]
Rose begins hyperventilating while still beating on your chest.\nYou continue to hold her tight.\nEventually she runs out of energy and goes limbless in your\narms; passing out.\nYou can still hear the words "I hate you" under her breath.\n\n\nThough you can't see it, you can hear Jack crying behind you.\n\n[[Thousand mile stare ]]

The dead eyes of your wife seem to come back to life as she\nstands forward and calls "Rose's name".\n\nAs she does, the man doesn't hesitate, and fires a shot to Bri's\nchest, sending her flying backwards into the chair she just sat\nin.\n\nYou drop to your knees.\n\n[[Roll over]]
Russell stands for only a brief second, before his body drops\nto the floor as well.\n\n\nThe bullet that killed your daughter continued, until it found\nits resting place inside the stomach of the man who held a knife\nto her throat a few seconds ago.\n\n\n[[Frozen]]
