A quick glance around the room reveals a few stone walls covered in slick moss. The ground is covered in gravel. There are vines hangning from the ceiling and dripping. Only where you lay and few spots along the walls are touched by sunlight from cracks in the roof above you, the rest of the room is dark shadows.
What do you do?

You wake up face down in moist gravel. You have no idea where you are. A quick glance around the room reveals a few stone walls covered in slick moss. The ground is covered in gravel. There are vines hangning from the ceiling and dripping. Only where you lay and few spots along the walls are touched by sunlight from cracks in the roof above you, the rest of the room is dark shadows. A shadowy figure is approaching you. You look at the ground and you see a (textcolor:"blue")[sword].

[[GRAB THE SWORD|grab the sword]]You jolt awake. You're laying on (textcolor:"Red")[course gravel]. You try to remember how you got here, but it's all a (textstyle:"shudder")[blur]. Your hands, legs and face are all bleeding. You try harder to figure out what happened to you, but you keep coming up blank. You look around, but you can't see much. You feel your pockets and check their contents. You find that you have your phone in your pocket still, which is a good sign. Your whole body aches in pain, you're not sure if you should rest some more or not.
What do you do now?
[[sleep]] or [[check phone]]You stubmle out of the woods, breathless, wearing only tatterted and dirty remanants of your clothing.Sunlight hits you like a ton of bricks. You thiknk back to the last thing you can remember: whatever is chasing you....

You try to go back to sleep on the course and wet gravel, but just as you close your eyes, you feel something grab your leg. You see a dark figure standing over you. You let out a high pitch scream and your heart begins to race. You feel your arms and hands go cold as all the blood rushes to your legs. Your flight or fight instincts kick in. At this moment you are still in shock and you are frozen. You think to yourself, "can I out run it?"

You freak out and (textstyle:"rumble")[scream], but you freeze when you hear something rustle in the darkness. Petrified, you stare in the direction of the sound. Is it an animal?... or something worse. You quickly look for something to defend yourself with. There is nothing. Slowly, a dark figure emerges from the shadows, the eerie crunch of gravel sends chills down your spine.
It says, "(textcolor:"red")[follow me]."

[[FOLLOW|follow]] or [[RUN AWAY|run away]]You get up and start to follow the moss-wall, hoping to find something in the darkness. You stumble upon an openning, you feel around what you make out to be a door.

[[CONTINUE IN THE DARKNESS|continuing]]Although you are scared out of your mind you find a moment of clarity and realize that complying with the shadow is probably your best chance. You swallow the lump in your thoat and muster the courage stand up. Without another word the shadow turns and dissapears into the darkness. You follow almost solely on the sound of footsteps, but suddenly, the dark shape seemingly (textstyle:"shudder")[disappears.]

Fight or flight. Flight. You get up and run as fast as you can into the darkness, only guiding yourself the the few rays of light that are scattered across your path. Your (textcolor:"green")[legs] begin to (textstyle:"shudder")[shake] and your short of (textcolor:"red")[breath]. You begin to slow down but fear grips you once more and you push harder, only to trip and fall. You look back and no longer see the showdy figure. What do you do?

[[TAKE A BREAK|take a break]]The doors takes you into a long maze-like system of hallways. This area seems newer than the rest of the structure. Still old, but not ancient. Raoming the halls and looking for a way out or the figure that you first followed yeilds nothing, although you swear you saw something moving in the darker areas. After a while, you end up back where you started: infront of the (textcolor:"Red")[four doors].

(if: $Blueberry is 1) [Choose another door. [[CLICK HERE|continuing]]]You open the door and step into a small room. There's not much here, although you do notice a small break in the wall. You take a step closer, wondering whether some kinda ungodly rat is gonna jump out at you or if it leads to another room. You peer down the opening and see a (textcolor:"yellow")[light]. The hole is big enough for you to crawl into, but you aren't sure if you can back crawl out if you choose to go in.

(if: $Blueberry is 1) [Choose another door. [[CLICK HERE|continuing]]]You open the third door and go in. In front of you is a large, open room with high, vaulted ceilings and gigantic stone pillars. Sunlight glares in from a few holes in the top corner of the room. In the center of the room is a smaller stone structure. There, inside that strucutes at the center, there is a coffin.

(if: $Blueberry is 1) [Choose another door. [[CLICK HERE|continuing]]]You open the door to reveal a (textcolor:"green")[stair case]. It looks old and unreliable, just like everything else, and descends into pure darkness. For some reason you follow the stairs down into the abyss. At the bottom is a chamber full of corpses. Realizing this was a bad idea you turn to leave, but a large bolder slams across the entrance to the stairs. Hearing a hissing you notice gas has begun seeping into the (textcolor:"red")[chamber].
You see a door at the other side of the room. What do you do?

[[TRY TO USE THE OTHER DOOR | death]]You force yourself though the (textcolor:"yellow")[openning] in the wall, falling to the sand on the other side. Looking up you realize you're no longer inside, you've made it out! Turning to face your would-be grave reveals a massive pyramid. Lucky you didn't wander around in there forever.
(textcolor:"green")[Congratualtions], you survived!
Now, how do you get home? You slowly approach the tomb. Blowing the dust off of the rock covering it reveals some ancient hieroglyphics. The stone is heavy, but you are able to push it off slowly. You look into the cavity, but there is (textcolor:"red")[nothing inside]. Suddenly the room (textstyle:"rumble")[shakes.] violently. You back away slowly, trying to keep your balance. Just then the tomb colapses, crushing you.
[[CONTINUE|failure]]You try to hide yourself underneath the (textcolor:"red")[dead bodies], thinking you may be able to seal off the gas from reaching you. The gas fills the room and moves past the crevases between the bodies. You hold your breath for as long as you can. The gas burns your eyes so you close them. Eventually you cant stand it, the need for air is too great. You inhale and everything goes black.
[[CONTINUE|failure]]You run to the door and try desperately to push it open, nothing happens. The door doesn't budge. You hold your breath and try harder and harder to push the door open. Looking around desparately reveals there is nothing i the room that can save you. The room has been filled with the (texcolor:"green")[poisonous] gas. You inhale and die.

You've failed to escape the tomb.
[[Play Again|Egyptian Adventure START]]You keep running, but your (textcolor:"red")[legs give out on you]. You trip and fall again, exhausted. You (textcolor:"red")[cut] your face and arms on the gravel and stone beneath you. Exhausted, you lay there, panting. You feel a something strong and cold grab your ankle. Turning to face it, the shadowy figure reveals its half decomposed body. You scream as you are dragged into the darkness.
[[CONTINUE|failure]]You sit down to let yourself rest. You realize you are in the middle of a (textcolor:"gold")[hallway]. It seems very out of place in the old structure. Suddenly a gaint stone falls across your path, blocking the hallway. You feel a (textstyle:"rumble")[shaking] around you. Turning to run back, you see another stone blocking the hall you just ran down. You The walls begin (textcolor:"red")[caving in]. You have no where to go.
[[CONTINUE|failure]]You pull open the door, finding nothing. Suddenly a skeleton falls out and lands on you. you scream and push it off before chiding yourself for being scared of nothing. Just then the pile of bones comes to life and throws itself at you, attacking you.

[[Play Dead]]Deciding you want to check out the rest of the room first you continue along the wall. Eventually you stumble through an openning and find (textcolor:"red")[four doors] ahead of you.

You trip and fall and skelton lands on top of you. You are now locked in a death battle with the skeleton. The two of you roll through the gravel trading blows. Finally you kick the skeleton off you and stand to face it. To your surprise it rips one of its ribs off and charges you, stabbing you.
I know, not what was expected.
[[continue|failure]]Thinking maybe the skeleton will leave you alone if you play dead you go limp. I mean, he's a skeleton in a tomn right? He hasn't seen a person in a while, he'll probably just think your're a another dead guy and continue on his merry way.
Well... it doesn't quite work like that. The skeleton isn't fooled and (textcolor:"red")[attacks] you. You try and fight back.
[[continue|fight skeleton]]You wander around and stumble upon somone laying against a wall. They're bleeding.

[[check your phone|check phone]]You start screaming which (textcolor:"red")[attracks more creatures]. They attack you.
[[continue|failure]]You walk over to the person. The man has excavation tools, leading you to assume he's an (textcolor:"green")[arechologist]. You ask him if he's okay but he only lets out a (textstyle:"shudder")[painful grunt]. He holds something out.

[[leave him|explore]]He hand's you a (textcolor:"gold")[key]. He lets out one more cough and becomes still. He's dead.

[[continue|explore]]You enter a giant room filled with (textcolor:"red")[dead corpses]. The corpses come to life. They start to running towards you. You notice (textcolor:"green")[a door] at the other end of the room.

[[try to use the door]]You and try to fight back against the (textcolor:"red")[army of the dead]. There's too many of them for you to take them all on.

[[crawl throught the whole]]You open the door and the (textcolor:"red")[zombies pour in].

[[continue|victory]](textcolor:"green")[Congratualtions], you made it out and survived. You look back up and see the mysterious figure approaching you quickly. You have decided that you can't risk taking time to pick up the sword. You quickly get to your feet and turn away from the ghost. You break out into a full out sprint away from the (textcolor:"green")[monster]. After running for a while, you feel your legs getting weaker and weaker. Eventually your legs give out on you and you trip. You stick your arms out infront of you to brace your fall, but it doesn't help and your face (textcolor:"red")[skids] against the floor. You turn around, the monster is right in front of your face...

You quickly grab the sword and stand your ground. The sword is much lighter than you anticipate it to be. The shadowy figure apporaches quickly and you (textcolor:"red")[swing] the sword with all of your might to try and scare it off. The (textcolor:"green")[creature] recoils and lets off a (textstyle:"rumble")[deafening] screech. You swing again, but this time it doges your attack and strikes you. This blow knocks you off of your feet and the sword out of your hands.

[[grab the sword and keep swinging|keep swinging]]You look at the sword one last time and you decide to (textcolor:"red")[leave] the sword. You leap to your feet, but the creature immediately strikes you again. This time harder. The blow knocks the wind out of you and leaves you motionless on the ground in (textcolor:"red")[pain]. The creature is coming for you once more. You roll onto your stomache and try to get to your feet. Although your body is in great pain, you make one last effort to sprint away. You scoop a handful of sand on the ground and throw it at the creature. It lets out a faint cry. You make use of this distraction and sprint away.

[[Door 2|Door2E]]You grab the sword and you sprint away. You can hear the creature pursing you behind, and not by the sounds of it, not too far behind. At first the sword doesn't feel too heavy, but after a while of running, the sword begins to slow you down. You turn a corner and notice a door. You look down the hallway, it goes on for as long as you can see. You hear the creature let off a loud (textstyle:"rumble")[roar]. It sounded very close. You don't have much time to think.

[[test the random door]]You continue to (textcolor:"red")[swing] at the figure. You strike it once and it lets out another roar, but this time isn't detered in the slightest bit. It keeps going at you. You keep (textcolor:"blue")[swinging], but nothing seems to be working. It doges a swing and strikes you, knocking you off of your feet and the (textcolor:"red")[sword out of your hand]. You leap for the sword and turn and thrust the sword directly into the figure. It lets out an (textstyle:"rumble")[echoing] roar. You pull the sword out of it and the creature receeds. The creature has had enough and runs away.
[[continue|adventure continues]]You enter a room full of gold. The gold is in all sorts of forms. You see gold coins as well as gold bars. The room is filled to the brim with all sorts of gold objects. However, one thing in particular cathes your eye. You see a (textcolor:"gold")[golden idol] in the center of the room. It stands out from all of the other gold pieces laying around. Just by the way it is displayed and looks, you can tell that it is of (textcolor:"blue")[importance] and much more (textcolor:"gold")[valuable] than everything in this room. You also see a door the seems to lead (textcolor:"green")[outside].

[[use the door]]You glance at the sword once more. You think to yourself, "it'll only slow you donw. You decide to (textcolor:"red")[leave] the sword. You leap to your feet and you start sprinting. At first you think you've escaped, but you turn around and notice it is still in hot pursuit of you. You're (textcolor:"red")[not fast enough] to outrun the spirt. After running for a while, you feel your legs (textstyle:"shudder")[tremble]. You don't know how much longer you can run. Eventually you trip over your own legs and the creature grabs you...
[[continue|failure]]You look down the hallway at the corner where you turned. Your hear the creature coming (textcolor:"red")[closer and closer] the longer you wait. You face the door and try to use the door knob. It's stuck. You can't get the door to budge. You keep trying and eventually you get the handle to turn and the door to open. Inside reveals a small room with a single torch illuminating it. The (textcolor:"red")[creature] is getting louder, you don't have much time.

You hurry into the room and you slame the door shut behind you. You quickly go to the tourch and blow it out, leaving the room completly black. You wait and listen to hear for the creature that was following you. You hear it right in front of the door and your heart begins to race. You wait a moment and then you (textcolor:"green")[don't hear anything] so you check the hallway. The coast is clear and you continue.

[[continue|adventure continues]]You wander the dark halls endlessly. You wonder how much time you've spent just walking around this dark maze. The hallways all intertwine and you feel like you've been wandering in circles for the past hour. You end at a hallway and see (textcolor:"red")[two doors]. This is the first time you've seen any sort of exit or entrace. It has all been sandstone walls up until this point.

[[Turn Back|B3]]The thing (textcolor:"red")[attacks] you and starts to feast on your remains.

[[Run away screaming|D4]]You get closer and closer to the (textcolor:"yellow")[light source]. You begin to make out the shape of another person. Just then, the floor (textstyle:"rumble")[suddenly drops] out from under you...
[[One headache later|A5]]You turn around and see the creature (textcolor:"red")[staring] at you...

[[Fight back|B2]]The (textcolor:"red")[scorpion] grows to four times its size. It then starts to try and (textcolor:"red")[attack you]. During the battle it destroys the pillars holding the pyramid up. The pyrimad (textstyle:"rumble")[falls] down on top of you.
[[continue|failure]]Fred seems happy you have decided to be his (textcolor:"green")[friend]. It climbs up on your shoulder. You are glad to have a (textcolor:"blue")[compatnion]. Forgetting about the creature you then travel on into the pyramid.
[[continue|A2]]You run away screaming... It (textcolor:"red")[attracks more creatures]. They start to (textcolor:"red")[attack you].
[[contiue|failure]]You wake up with a bitch of a (textcolor:"red")[headache]. You slowly get up and look above you, realizing you fell. You look around and you see a (textcolor:"gold")[mummy], (textcolor:"red")[a dead rat], and (textcolor:"yellow")[a key].

You walk over to the key and notice it's covered in blood. All of a sudden the walls (textstyle:"rumble")[shake]. They are closing in on you. You see a door.

[[Sprint for the door|RunForDoor]]The rat bites you and your (textcolor:"red")[blood] attracts more rats. They soon overwhelm you.
[[continue|failure]]You kick the rat away and it curries away, (textstyle:"rumble")[trembling]. You then notice a door.
[[go to the door|FinalDoor]]The door unlocks and it leads outside. You walk for a bit and see a city.

The four character's stories and possible outcomes were created by four different members of Illuminati Cor. Because of this each character's situation and outcomes have unique qualities and may feel like four separate games. This was designed to appeal to an young college age audience who may grow bored after going through the same starting passages a few times. The game itself centers around the life and death decisions made to escape from an ancient pyramid, with some slightly more mature humor to break up the tension and add flare. Overall the game is created as short, fun escape from reality into one's own imagination.
